Vintage mid century modern Stendig De Sede Endless Non Stop sofa 25 sections
Widdicomb* Many large detailed pictures below description* Very scarce and iconic vintage 1960s/70s Ueli Berger"Non Stop" Or"Endless" sofa, distributed in U.S. by Stendig, NY. This example in 25 sections, thick suede over heavy brown felt covered platforms. Signed with several Stendig labels on bottoms. All original. Very uncommon and one of the most iconic mod sofa designs ever created. This is a striking design element for an advanced modern space. Very comfortable as well, which isn't terribly common among sofas in the modernist oeuvre. Heavy zippered tongues or flaps attach each section. Which are approx 1 foot wide. Additionally, there are heavy steel loops with pins between each section, allowing for"Slinky-like" flexibility in shape and configuration. Any number of sections could be used for shorter ... moreor longer configuration. The sofa is in average vintage condition. The structure is excellent. Seats. Back and arms retain shape and"fluff" Thick felt platforms are in nice condition without tears or holes. Thick suede leather on upper portion has no tears. There is moderate general soiling, worse on 5 or 6 sections than others. There is noticeable fading to exposed portions of upper suede. Original tan color is visible in crevices and folds and across rear. Exposed suede portions have faded to a light"minty" green color. The piece presents pretty well with sections pushed together and the"faded to" light green color is not offensive at all. The tan is visible at crevice edges if inspected. Heavy attachment eyelets have some occasional surface rust. 8 pins are not present(you don't have to pin sections, or a simple bolt from store would work) In my opinion the piece will improve very nicely with a professional cleaning. And at absolute worst the currently cleanest 20 sections would look very nice. If you have access to a skilled leather restorer or excellent upholstery shop, I believe that this piece has the potential to be a superb restoration

This is a beautiful Harmony House Orange Mid-Century Modern Sectional. We had it professionally reupholstered. You can see in the pictures that it is a soft burlap type fabric. Orange tweed fabric is in excellent condition that compliments the walnut table base. All of the bases have a chrome like strip across the bottom. When an extra bed is needed, the sofa back folds down then flips out and provides a comfortable lengthwise sleeping surface. The cushions have recently been reupholstered in a dark grey and in addition, the back cover as well as the sheet have been updated with a soft, lighter grey linen. Produced by Broyhill(labelled by Lenoir- the same company as Broyhill) Three sections. With each one having two large cushions with 2 back cushions and a slightly smaller side cushion. 15 cushions in all. Still has its original side arm protectors(all three) that blend almost invisibly on this piece. Each section is 62" long. 26" high(with cushions making it 29" high) 36" deep. This is a very unique Mid-century orange vinyl convertible sofa. It is a Knoll-style vintage piece from the 1960's and is in VERY good condition for its age. It is essentially a convertible"klik-klak" futon or daybed. So can function as a sleeper sofa, but has not been used as such in its long life. It has been in storage for many years, so the condition is remarkable. The color is orange, just a bit toward the salmon side of the orange spectrum. Some of the photos appear a brighter, orangier' orange than it actually is. I need to sell this to make room for refurnishing. Up for consideration is Convertible Danish Modern Settee Daybed designed by Peter Hvidt for France& Son. The piece measures 31 inches tall by 64 inches long in the up position with a depth of 30 inches. With the arms down the sofa is approximately 94 inches. The seat height is 17 inches. With a click of a button on the back each arm rest folds down into a full flat lounge or daybed. The back cushions double as cushions or pillows on the ends. Surprising the Cushions along the back are tapered or triangular and are comfortable when one rests their head. They have some sort of spring assembly within. Please note that you see don't see this version to often and when you do quite often the cushions are just custom facsimiles.thereof.these are original and what they should look like.no button and tuck etc.or one long cushion. The cushion ... morefit right over the frame of the arm rests. The arm rests are covered in the center with caning on both sides. This material is original and in fine condition meaning no tears or holes. Please note that the caning is rather formidable. Not light and easy to poke through. The piece is labeled with the"FF" monogram and on the inside of the frame it is stamped"Made in Denmark" with the"FF" burnmark. The piece sports it's original teal material. The previous owner was said to have covered it in the late 70's with a zip on slip covers with a large floral heavy textile. The slip covers were removed to reveal this incredible blue teal material. The coloration resembles the close up photo shown as the camera automatically justified a slightly differing color. No visual repairs. all the spring work is fine and ultra clean. This is about as good as it is going to get at be as close to showroom original condition. It isn't perfect but it's pretty close. There is some very light wear commensurate with age. For your consideration is a Fantastic Vintage Mid-Century Modern Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates Chaise Lounge with what appears to be fantastic Jack Lenor Larsen fabric! It is a wonderful lounge. Very comfortable and in great condition as you can see in the photographs! It measures approx. 57" in length, 37" in width and is 15" tall to the top of the first'hump' and 30" tall at it's highest point. It is in the exact condition shown. With no rips or tears that I can see in the upholstery. No foul aroma, signs of smoke, etc. Removed from a Connecticut estate. The only thing I can find wrong with it is that one bottom corner gives some when you push down on it, this may be a crack in the underlying plywood, which can of course be very easily mended from the bottom, without having to touch the upholstery. ... morePickup can be done in Putnam. About as attractive as they come Lovely original oatmeal upholstery in remarkably good condition Has the desirable continuous arm. There are vers. with 3 piece arms(sides and back) but they are just not as sexy. Everything is original except the foam in the seat cushions. Which had decayed and has been replaced by high quality(and expensive) upholstery foam(fully wrapped) The only condition issues are a kick marks on the bottom of the legs(minimal) and it is missing one fagas strap. Oh yes. There is one ding along one arm. Shallow and hard to see. The fargas straps have a bit of sag to them. But it does not affect the sitting position at all. The foam is a nice ... morefirmness and you don't feel like you are sagging down in any way. No stains. Tears, etc. in the upholstery. Joins are not loose. VINTAGE MID CENTURY MODERN LOW PROFILE SOFA- 91"long -GEOMETRIC / MAD MEN
HELLO AND WELCOME WOW! What a fabulous Vintage Mid-Century Modern Sofa! Super groovy geometric lines compliment the very unique shape of the sofa. It reminds me of what you would see in Elvis's Graceland home! Please note there are four pillows to the sofa- three are for across the back and one for the slanted side for laying down and relaxing on the sofa. Please make sure to check out the ends/sides of the sofa the shape on the sides are different. I am guessing so you could sit or lay comfortably on the sofa. The back pillows are loose not sewn to the sofa and all of the pillows covers zip off for cleaning. There is three large seating cushions which are removable. The legs are wood.Big and round in shape. The material tag was torn off so I am giving you my opinion as to what type of material it is made of: resembles cut velvet or chenille- ... moreit is super soft! The coloring is: Chocolate brown and white(the sofa colors are richer in person then the pics display! Condition: I don't see any stains at all-there is a picture of the 1 inch wear spot on one cushion which is very-very hard to see due to the design(the wear is in the line of the geo pattern) On the back top corner(see pic) there is a small hole in the fabric. All legs do have scratches/wear. Overall it is in very nice condition- Comfortable. Clean and odor free.
