Well-maintained antique condition, the frames are solid- there are some joints that show small lines of seperation, but nothing that affects the stability or useability of the piece. The cream paint and gilded areas are very good, there is some flaking to the gilding, and the front of the arms that would have received the most wear have seen some over-painting. It's a large side oval mirror with a French ribbon swag and urn at the top. Ideal size for over a buffet. Sofa or dresser. It's ... morenot too fancy but not plain and it's a classic style that will lend it to so many different types of decor. It's not perfect. As you typically see with these old pieces, you are going to find cracks. Doesn't appear to be breaks but cracks and there is an area on the right side of the mirror where there are some marks under the glass. I tried so hard to get them to come thorugh but it's so difficult to show them. If you need to see more photos, please feel free to write. The mirror is pretty clear except for one small area where the marks are. I noted a bit of ghosting but nothing major. It's got that perfectly aged look. Perfectly shabby. It measures approx 39" wide and 37" tall. Now as far as shipping goes, this is not going to be able to go via regular Fed Ex or UPS. It will fall into the freight category. French Provincial antique sofa featuring hand-carved wooden accents. Measuring(outermost border) 74 inches wide while the back. From floor to tallest point, is 36 inches. The seating area has a depth of 23 inches. Three seat cushions and other fabric-covered areas feature a coral color with an embroidery-type. Cream colored floral-like design. One cushion does have a slight tear(not imaged here) with some minor soiling from use at some areas though overall. This example is exceptionally nice. Antique Vintage Carved French Louis XV Style SETEE Oval back rest - Sofa Chair
Here we offer a beautiful functional vintage Louis XV style carved Sette- Sofa Chair. Oval back. Topped with a lovely double rose cartouche. Straight fluted legs. Made in second quarter of the 20th Century, before the age of mass reproduction. The upholstery has been done in the last 5 years or so. The condition of the setee is very good, wood shows minor ware, and in the back the upholstery came up, due to the large amount of cushioning(see photo- repair is no big deal) Size is 37" tall, 45.5" wide, 24" deep.
