The patterned fabric(red/ white& ... morepink Asian Acanthus theme) is fitted to the shape of a fainting couch.the soft and shiney pink polished cotton is not fitted but has an unusual shape at one end. Both are lined with a natural colored cotton muslin. Each piece also includes matching ruffled trim/edging that has been hand sewn in place. Measurements of both are approx. 68 inches wide X 110 inches long. Neither piece has been laundered. No noted stubborn stains. One straight line rip at one end of the fitted patterned fabric piece(approx. 5 inches long) These items will need to be laundered as they most likely haven't been cleaned in many years. From out non-smoking home… Gorgeous fainting sofa. Most likely 1880s, with beautiful Eastlake foliate incising. Beautifully upholstered in luxurious velvet. Rosy-burgundy with golden-green stripes. Velvet is high-end and may be silk. It has some wear, but is still lovely and functional. Lovely woodwork. Including a high pediment with an ornate shield, curved overlaid burled walnut panels, ornate vining incising, turned feet, fluted molding that curves around the rounded base of the couch, and carved base pediment. Original finish, not refinished and ruined. Condition is excellent for approximately 130 years old. There is wear to the upholstery. But it is still beautiful and useful. This is an antique doll’s or salesman sample fainting couch/chaise lounge. From my personal collection~needs to find a good home and hopefully new upholstery. All wood with diamond shaped embellishments along the front. Back is curved and the supporting side is angled just slightly to hold a doll. Overall length is about 18” and about 4 5/8” wide. Legs screw off for easy moving. I am also selling orange velvety fabric which I bought to reupholster it in another listing as well. Defects which I photographed include: I removed part of bottom covering to inspect the frame when I was thinking of reupholstering this chaise lounge. Small bit of paint on arm. Wax spill on part of back. Many worn spots through to inside batting on seat. I just covered it with a blanket though when I used it. Legs have some dents and marks. But the upholsterer used mohair to describe the blue velvety fabric on the sides and the edge) Color(colors) Multicolor consisting of: Cobalt blue. Light blue, various shades of blue on cream/ ivory background. Unique design. Fine fabric. Brocade like. Wooden/ real wood turned legs carved-Pattern: Floral scroll or free flowing leafy/ leaves reminds me of a fleur de lis pattern; not sure if this is brocade or damask. But it looks embroidered; pattern is a free flowing leafy or floral type, reminds me of a variation of a fleur de lis. Comes from non-smoking ... moreplace. No smells. No stains, no rips and no tears in this new fabric. Fabric: Don’t know much about the fabric. But it is a fine decorators’ fabric; possibly heavy cotton and stain resistant.
