Hand crafted rattan and mahogany. 6 band rattan arms. The cushioning appears to be coiled spring type wrapped in cotton batting. Vinyl upholstery. Most of these pieces retain their original decal label. Circa 1940s. Philippines. I recently acquired this group from the estate of the original owner. All sides of all pieces are represented in the photos. See my other auctions for the matching sideboard/ cabinet I acquired along with this group. CONDITION: This set requires reupholstery and some restoration to the rattan joint binding but is otherwise in very good. All original condition. RATTAN CHAIR FRAMES: Some of the rattan joint binding is loose in places and missing altogether at a few joints. All of this is documented in the photos. Most noticeably. Both of the armless chairs are absent some rattan joint binding where the rear seat is attached to the base of the back rest. Consequently the back rests on these 2 chairs lean back a bit farther than they should. I believe replacing the missing binding will rectify this. Consult photos for all of this. None of this is t

Fine art deco mohair sofa. In good condition, with two-sided, reversible seat cushions. The couch has been re-upholstered in a dark chocolate brown mohair type fabric. This is in good condition, but shows poorly in photos, since the fabric appears marked, stained or damaged. It is not! But manufactured during the brief time following his employment with Conant Ball when they continued to manufacture this fabulous bentwood maple furniture according to his designs, but marked with only the Conant Ball American Modern mark that does not incorporate his name. The incredible flowing lines of both the chair and the sofa's form speak for themselves with regard to beauty and I've tried to photograph these pieces from a variety of angles in an attempt to showcase their design as well as their overall very good condition, original maple finish in very ... morenice condition and what appears to be the original webbing under both the chair and the sofa as shown in my pictures from below. Vintage 1940s Art Deco three-person sofa couch davenport in green
This is a classic sofa and is completely intact. An expert has now informed me this is a very sophisticated Art Deco sofa. Thank you so much! It was last upholstered in the early 1950's. So I'm sure it dates to at least the 1940's. There are no rips or tears, but you'd probably want to redo it anyway. It's a very durable, nubby fabric, but it's really green(greener than the pictures make it look-a Christmas green-it's not even close to teal) It has not been used since about 1979 and was covered with a sheet. It measures 79" long by 39" at its deepest(floor space needed front to back) and 32" high. You will have to pick it up. There is an identical chair, but it's red and we have not uncovered it yet. Outstanding and original art deco chaise sofa. The chaise sofa is vintage. And completely 100% original with it's period upholstered mohair covering. The mohair features patterns running through it, and still retains most of it's original nap. It is approx. 7' in length with an approx. 2 1/2' back, with a classic shape and form. The color is a dull red, and is free from any tears, with a small snag on the side or the right arm. There is also some light wear to the nap on the right arm, and right seat. The sofa has been fully and professionally cleaned and has very tight springs, A beautiful art deco sofa, with original covering! I believe from the 1880's but not sure. This design is very rare and hard to find. The glider is heavy and solid, no broken metal areas only usual rust which can be sanded and a fresh coat of paint applied. The glider is in very good solid vintage condition. The strips of metal are not bent or dented. The glider is made of cast iron and heavy gauge steel and will last a long time.
