This is a wonderful rare three in one advertising piece. This weight scale was made by Landers. Frary& Clark which this company was from New Britain, Conn. The marble base which is a rare find was made by John Chatillon& Sons patented Aug 18th, 1884. The scale was made for Hatch& Boyle which was a grocery store and meat market in Detroit, Michigan. I have spent several week locating information in regards to the wonderful antique hanging scale. The hook on the scale is dated 1906. The base or bowl of the scale is marble. Antique Italian candle stick holders - brass, glass prisms, marble base - Italy
You are looking at a pair of antique Italian candle holders. They stand 12 1/4" tall and the base is 5" in diameter. They consist of a fancy metal base(I believe it's brass) With a 3/4" thick piece of white marble on top. The pedestal is made of glass, mostly with a diamond pattern, with metal arms encircling it. Each arm holds a two-piece dangling glass prism- the bottom teardrop is 1 1/2" long and the round prism on top is about 1/2" across. Atop the glass pedestal is a 3 1/2" metal(brass? taper candle holder. The marble base has a sticker that reads'Fine Marble Base. Made in Italy. There is obvious discoloration of the brass. And some rusting of the brass centers of the pedestal. The prisms are all intact. Check out my other items! I am happy to combine shipping on any items.
