THIS IS A VERY NICE PIECE OF BEAUMONT POTTERY STONEWARE. THE SIZE OF A BUTTER CROCK. HAS COBALT DECORATED FRONT. THERE IS TWO SPOTS AROUND THE TOP EDGE THAT WERE GLAZED OVER IN THE FIREING. Blue & White Stoneware Cow &Fence Butter Crock With Lid
Today I'm listing a Blue& White Cow and Fence Crock with lid. Front has word" BUTTER" with Cows on both sides. On back side it has a fence. A floral and leaf garland are on top and bottom and also repeats on lid. Bottom is in excellent condition only a couple of very small nicks on enter edge. Lid has a 1 3/4" chip out of it. Stoneware Salt Crock Blue American Indian Scene Trees OH Pottery Old Sleepy Eye
Up for sale is a Beautiful Old Salt Glaze Crock. I believe it is called Old Sleepy Eye. I don't see any chips or cracks. There are a few imperfections in the glaze but overall it is in Excellant condition. The colors are great. The scenery has Tepee's. Trees\ mountains and an Indian. Selling a couple of piece for a friend. They were her grandmothers. Don't miss out on this beauty. On the bottom there is an H. Maybe Ohio pottery. Up for bid is a Rare Antique Blue and White Stonewae"Lovebirds" Butter/Cheese Crock with Lid! Each side carries the lovebirds on a branch with flowers. Notice the deeper blue color which is always a plus with this pattern which is highly sought after by collectors. Also. Notice the strongly embossed detailing. This piece measures 4.75" tall with lid x 6.25" diameter. Overall condition is great with the exception of minor chips on inside top rim and the wire bail is missing. An excellent yellowware/spongeware lidded casserole dish. The top lid is shaped like a pie dish. But fits perfectly as the casserole dish cover. Very nice glaze colors with green and Rockingham brown spattered or sponged over the yellowware base color. The actual piece is much nicer than the photos show. Superb vintage condition. Circa late 19th or early 20th century. This piece has been identified as having been manufactured by Morton Pottery by a long-time antique and pottery collector. Also found in Rockingham and yellow ware reference guides. It measures about 5" tall and 9 1/2" wide across from handle to handle. It weighs nearly 4 pounds. Estimated at least 7 lbs. packed weight for shipping purposes. In excellent condition. Especially for this type of old utilitarian yellowware pottery. There are NO nicks, chips, cracks or ... morerepairs, and the outer surface is in extra fine condition, shiny gloss and without surface scratches or detractors. As identified in the Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware. This auction is for a common pattern Blackberry Salt Holder crock. It measures 6" wide by 4" tall in front, 5.75" in back. Mint value $150- $175 without lid($250-$275 with lid) This piece does not have a lid. The word"SALT" is highlighted in dark blue on front. Blackberry clusters extend on each side of the lettering into the side seams. The smooth background is given depth by bands of diffused blue around the top and bottom graduating to a more uniform blue towards the sides. This is in excellent condition. NO CHIPS or CRACKS! 19th C. 3 Gallon Cobalt Floral Decorated Norton Tophat Form Stoneware Crock Jar
An excellent 19th C. 3 gallon stoneware crock with a large cobalt floral plume design. This piece was made by E Norton. Bennington, Vermont c. 1881-1894. The design is very thick& vibrant, the maker's stamp is highlighted in cobalt& nicely impressed, perfectly legible. The wonderful cobalt floral decoration is quite large, taking up most of the front of the crock, the design alone measures 7 3/4" tall! This early stoneware piece measures 10" tall, 11" in diameter at the top& 10 1/2" in diameter at the bottom. This piece is in great condition with only two small chips on the outside edge of the rim(1/2" 1/4" a shallow chip on the base. Otherwise this piece has no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. This is a very charming piece of crockery made by the W.A. Macquoid& Co. Pottery Works in NYC circa 1837 to 1869(the years that the company existed. It is marked 1 1/2 which is the gallons that it could hold. It also says Little W. 12th Street NY on it. There is also a very distinctive and naively painted floral on the jar which i suppose was the hallmark of the company. It is 10.5" tall. 25" in circumference and has a 6" opening at the mouth. It also boasts handles and is in quite sturdy and remarkable condition for being app. 150 years old. I would say it weighs between 5 and 8 pounds. I am offering this up for sale because my NYC studio is getting quite cluttered and I am going for a more modern aesthetic. Please consider bidding on this lovely piece of social history. Measures about 9" diameter on the bottom. It has lots of crazing overall. A couple of chips along the bottom edge, and one hairline crack along one edge that doesn't go around the bottom or up into the glazed area. I've had this for 20" years and there is been no change in the crack.
