Modernist Wall Clock Reco Industries Walnut Burst Brass Key-Wind
For your consideration a Mid-century modern colossal"walnut burst" wall clock. Vintage. Manufactured by Reco industries, Oceanside, New York. Measures about 35 x 21 inches. A recent purchase from the estate of an architect. The condition is very good and all original. The walnut burst is made up of 1/4 inch laminated walnut plywood set in a brass plated frame. The 8-1/2" diameter dial is a plastic wood grain laminate with brass-ball number symbols and brass hands. It is a key wound movement from the front with slow-fast adjustment in the back. LARGE RARE WOOD & BRASS ZAANDAM DUTCH ZAANDESE 8 DAY CHIMING WALL CLOCK PROJECT!

Be sure to have a look at our other items! I had always hoped to find time some day to do whatever is needed for this clock but I simply don't have the time any longer. Wish I did since this is an absolutely breathtaking clock! It was produced about 65 years ago in the Zaan River area outside of Amsterdam Holland and signed on the back door by"WUBA. one of the finest clockmakers in this region of this style and other Fresian clocks. Actually, WUBA probably had the best distribution partners in the history of the Zaandese clocks but even still, there are few of them around and this ... moreone is gorgeous! The clock case is made entirely of wood and finished in a blend of medium to dark shades of mahogany. It has fancy wooden trim near the bottom and accented with brass metal finials. There are twisted brass and black columns on either side of the dial and cathedral shaped windows on either side of the case. Both windows have yellowed glass crystals inset into them to allow for viewing the clock movement as the gears turn; fascinating! The trim on top is fancy brass metal too and the sides feature figures of men in battle gear as if defending the wall. The front is very impressive too featuring regal lions with their front paws on the fancy urn. The inscription reads, Niu Elck Syn Sin" and I have no idea of what that means though my old German determines the first word is, Now. There is a large brass figurine atop a brass bell behind the rails holding what looks like a blue globe, reminding me of Atlas carrying the world. The metal dial has appliques with faces in each corner around it. The dial has a black backdrop and the chapter ring is brushed silvertone featuring bold Roman numerals to mark the hours and fancy matching hands to point out the time. The

Dimensions- these will fit a column that is around 22mm dia at the top(the part that fits into the brass/bronze) and 26mm dia at the base.

The clock has a brass numbered face with hands that move when the tape is pulled out or wound in. The back has a turquoise colored glass cabochon and this is what you turn to rewind the tape. The woven cloth tape(original) is marked in both inches and centimeters and is complete with the original stop. It works perfectly. The base measures 1 1/4" x 7/8" and it's almost 2" high. The gilded surface has wear but the overall condition is excellent with no dents or other damage. I think it's probably German. I can't find this tape in any of the books. This clock does not run. It is an early 30's possible late 20's Art Deco period travel alarm desk clock. It is very well made. Has beautiful cobalt blue which very collectable in this period. Has an ornate trim brass frame with gold wash front and back. Hands are very detailed. Very nice design. In the light a certain way.You can see the tips of the hands turn like a blue metallic finish. The ring of brass that hold the roman numbers is really neat aswell.you can see a blue ing like that of when you heat something up and get those heat colors. With the blue background is pretty stunning piece. It doesn't tell time but when you turn the alarm knob it makes a noise. Measures 4"x4" A beautiful Art Deco piece for display with your collection. Vintage Tiffany& Co. heavy brass table mantle desk clock. Swiss quartz. It is a gold color. It does have some minor scratches. I am including the battery in the box. But not inside the clock for shipping. It is an unusual size& I needed to purchase it to make sure it was working. It works fine. It keeps accurate time& the alarm works well. It is in great overall condition. The serial number is 12351. All parts are original Tiffany. The clock measures approximately 4" tall by 4" wide by 1.25" deep. What looks like discoloration of the brass on the top part of the clock is actually shadows from taking the pictures. This clock is heavy. Weighing just under 3 pounds. Stamped on bottom PAT'D APRIL.23.95 MADE IN USA PAT'D APRIL.6.97 This little oiler measures approx. 3 3/8" tall and 1" wide and the main body is oval shaped. All 3 pieces screw together. The thin top cap unscrews from the precision spout and has an attached internal needle sticking out about 3/8" which can be used if you need to place a single drop of oil in an exact spot. A steady hand would be needed for this work. Someone like a gun repair or watch/clock repair person might find this oiler a handy item to have. The photographs are of the actual item and a reflection of its overall condition. This is an Antique? Oval' Brass French Carriage Clock(Possibly Victorian) The clock has been roughly stored and unused for a number of years. The Clock remains in Working Order and Keeps Good Time. It has a White Enamelled Dial with Black Roman Numerals. The Dial has a short hairline at the top left corner. It cannot be seen through normal viewing of the clock as it is hidden by the brass frame. There is no name on the item. Details inside state'Made in Paris' The Clock Measures approximately 4 3/4" tall(with handle lowered) x 3 1/2" wide x 2 3/4" Deep(120mm x 90mm x 70mm) It has Bevelled Glass ... moreto Front. Back, Sides and Oval Top. All Glass remains intact though some chips can be seen to the corners of the rear glass panel. The other panels appear without chips. But without dismantling the clock it is impossible to say if there are any hidden chips or not. There is also a vertical scratch on the front at the r.h. side. Some scratches to the top and rear glass. Some minor surface marks may be evident. It does not have any bumps to the case and has not been dropped at all. It remains without any damage. Great bold minimal design statement with White& Brass graphic elements designed in a Pyramid/Diamond pattern similar to George Nelsons"Kite" clock design. The cast base structure houses a fully functioning clock, complete with second hand, that contains the exact same"synchron" clock mechanism as used in early George Nelson/ Howard Miller designs of the same era. The lamp consists of a 3-way socket assembly commonly used on Westwood designs that allows for either 1-2-3 ... morelamps to be illuminated via the rotary switch. This auction is for a wood with brass clock work and chimes tambour style mantel clock made by New Haven Clock Co. The wood case is very nice with no chips. Dents or repairs. A couple of minor scratches but overall beautiful, I think. The glass door is a tight fit. The key and pendulum is included. The face of the clock has some spots that I cannot get to come clean with a mild soap. The inside of the clock is also very dusty, I do not have the expertise to clean around clock parts, so I have left it as not to damage anything.
