This impressive toast rack is in the shape of a Viking ship or Venetian gondola and is quite a large size. Measuring 17.5 cm(just under 7 inches) high by 24 cm(9 ½ inches) in length. The piece is in good all round condition for its age with only a very small amount of wear to the silver plating but. As you can see from the photographs, one of the toast dividers has become detached on one side. Also, the two lower front struts are also detached but these are still in position and you need to pick the rack up and scrutinise it closely in order to see this. This does not affect the integral strength of the item. I realise this must sound quite dramatic but it is a rare piece and displays well whilst still fully functional. It would not take too much to repair if so desired. There is what appears to be a small EPNS mark which is a little ... moreunusual and which is pictured above. This is a beautiful amber glass candy dish made by Viking Glass Company. Viking Glass came to be after New Martinsville Glass went broke in the late 30’s. In 1938 the company was sold to people associated with Silver City Glass Company of Meriden. Connecticut. The plant reopened as New Martinsville Glass Company for a short time. In June of 1944 the stockholders formed Viking Glass Company. The dish stands 6" tall with a 9" diameter. The base measures 4" in diameter. There is a scratch on one of the petals. Please see photos.

This auction is for an orange persimmon Viking ashtray sometimes called Orbit. Sphere or Horseshoe. Viking made quality art glass. This piece is retro or mid century. It measures about 3 1/2 inches in diameter and the tallest part is about 1 1/2 inches high. There is one notch for a cigarette located on the shortest part which is about 1/2 inches high. Condition of the ashtray is very good. No chips or cracks. There are a couple of small bubbles in the glass. It is not scratched or stained from use and really does not look like it has been used.
