Limoges porcelain, there's no crazing, and there's also no cracks, or chips. It does have a very, very slight roughness to the rim where it meets the table. This butter pat is not flat. It's somewhat like a tiny shallow bowl, measuring 11/16" from bottom rim to top rim. It's 2.75" across the top. I combine shipping when able to. Offered is a rare and hard to find hand painted antique lidded lady's cosmetic lip baume pomade cream jar made by the French Limoges company of William Guerin between 1900-1932. Hand painted with pink flowers and green leaves on a blue and yellow background. It measures just over 1.5 inches tall and about 1.5 inches wide. It is in excellent condition with the only thing I can see is a small flea bite on the inside of the lid rim which does not show on the outside. RARE Antique cider pitcher Jean Pouyet Limoges France* Absolutely gorgeous handpainted antique cider pitcher with strong colors. And gold gilded trim. The mark would date this piece to sometime in the late 1800's-very early 1900's. The bottom of the piece is marked and I think it's"Mrs. Mudleroy" Highly desirable, the Roses motif is handpainted. Approximately 5.25 inches in height and 7.75 inches from tip of handle to tip of spout. Marking on the bottom says J.P.L. France at the bottom. This is the mark for artist Jean Pouyat. Antique Cobalt Blue Bone China Condensed Milk Container Unsigned Limoges-like
This item is in great condition. I have found no chips anywhere. As you can see in the picures. The gold painting has some wear- expected for its age. Its measrements are: underplate 6" diameter, Jar 5" diameter& 4" height, Top 4" diameter. Total assembled height 5 1/2" It weighs about 1lb. It is unsigned and is decorated with beautiful hand painted flowers in the white areas of the porcelain with gold decorations on the cobalt blue areas. You can see how beautifully thin this piece is by looking at picture# 9 the light shows through it. These jars were originally used to hold the contents of a can of condensed milk for table use at breakfast. We have used them for jam. Condensed milk, honey butter, and cranberry sauce. This one is exceptionally beautiful. I believe it is either German or French. It isn't ... moresigned. Please notice that in picture#10 and 12 you will see that there is some wear on glaze of the under plate in a few spots(picture 10) and some evidence of very very fine hair line crazing in a small spot on the underplate. Limoges France(1860 to 1900) Hand Painted Open Sugar Bowl and Hand Painted Creamer(Cream Pitcher) Set with a Floral Pattern Consisting of Alternating Pink Roses& Purple Violets Sharing the same Stem and Leaf Pattern over a Gloss White Glaze Application Attributed to being Decorated in Limoges, France in"Excellent Plus" to"Near-Mint Condition" Used, Circa 1894 to 1900. I first want to explain that in the United States from the 1870s up until World War Two the biggest hobby in this country was painting on porcelain. You had amateur painters. Professional painters, professional porcelain decorating and painting studios and some American poreclain potteries had their own decorating ... moredepartments. One crucial piece of knowledege you kneed to know is that the vast majority of this porcelain artwork done by American porcelain artists was painted on blank white porcelain imported in from other countries, You had French Limoges porcelain, Bavarian porcelain(and it was its own state from 1806 to 1918) German porcelain, Austrian-Bohemian porcelain and some came from Nippon(which is Japan) and other Far East Asian countries. The reason for this was the United States was still in its infancy when it came to porcelain production and the imported porcelain blanks were much less expensive then our own American porcelain blanks in most cases. Because of this a common mistake is to attribute antique American painted porcelain as to being painted in the country on the backstamp. There was a law institued in 1891 by the United States requiring all goods imported into the U.S.A. to have the country of origin on it somewhere. Therefore we have an abundance of antique hand painted porcelain by Americans on blanks marked from another country. This is a beautiful and impressive antique set made of a creamer and a sugar bowl. They are marked ELITE WORKS LIMOGES FRANCE HAND PAINTED. The marks tell us that they were made and decorated at the factory of Bawo& Dotter in Limoges ca.1900-1914. The style of the decoration is Art Nouveau. They are completely hand painted and signed by the factory artist Mullier. No damage on these pieces: no chips. Cracks nor restaurations. The paint is in excellent condition and the lavish gold decoration is almost all there with some light wear on the handles of the sugar bowl. The creamer is 5 1/2" tall and 4" wide with handle. Antique Porcelain Limoges Vanity Dresser Tray w 2 pc Hutschenreuther Bavaria Set
I am pleased to offer this nice. 3-piece, antique vanity set. It's off-white with gold bands covered in stylized flowers and leaves. The flowers and leaves are in the Arts and Crafts, or possibly Art Nouveau style. The tray measures 12 1/2" long, 9" wide, and has the maker's mark of"Limoges France(T& V) on the bottom. The powder jar and the hair receiver are both 4" in diameter and are labeled"Hutschenreuther Selb Bavaria LHS" on the bottom. I believe this came from one of my husband's great aunts, that had no children. Everything is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, nor crazing. The flaws I see are three parallel extremely small scratches, some pinholes, and some black flecks on the tray. Also, there are two tiny, faint, dark red glaze? imperfections on one of the containers and there's ... morea very tiny amount of gold wear(that you don't even notice) around the opening of the hair receiver lid, on the edge of the handle, and on the tray. In addition, all the pieces look as if they were varnished and the varnish has yellowed and some of the yellow has worn off on the tray. I don't think these flaws detract too much from the overall appearance of this set, however. This set would look beautiful in the right setting! For your consideration is an antique soup tureen put out by Barny and Rigoni. Limoges, France. This is a rare piece. And these stamps were only used for about 8 years, from 1894 to 1902. This lovely old tureen is swarming with pink roses and adorned with gold gilt handes. Trim. It is a very large piece, and deep. It measures 12 1/4" from handle to handle. Is 6 1/2" wide, and 6 1/2" high. There are a few brown stains on the inner rim of the cover(which may be removed) A few flea bites to the inner rim also. These were so small, I couldn't feel them with my finger. There is a chip to the upper inside of the tureen itself. Please see the picture. This is not felt from the inside. It bears the makers mark that dates this piece to have been made between 1891-1896. ANTIQUE LIMOGES COIFFE HAND PAINTED SIGNED TRAY, DISH, PLATE, 10 1/2"
This is a beautiful tray marked COIFFE LIMOGES FRANCE with a mark that dates it to ca.1891-1914. The tray measures 10 1/2" by 7" 7 1/2" with the handle. And it is 1" high without the handle and 2" with handle. The piece has a pretty border hand painted with pink and gold and decorated with roses and green foliage. The work is signed with the initials of the artist on the back. The dish is in excellent condition. No chips cracks or other issues. And the paint is also excellent. Only the gold on the handle has a light wear. This can be a pretty and useful piece for your home. Please see my other items. I have other Limoges on sale and I combine shipping. I ship to USA only. Antique Limoges France Marked G.D&C Serving Bowl With Lid With White/Gold Design Up for sale is an antique Limoges G.D&C serving dish. This is a marked piece with a matching lid. There is a gold pattern that goes all around the serving dish and lid which has drastically faded over time because of the age. Has two gold painted handles that are connected to the lid and on top is a gold leaf/vine like handle for lifting the lid off the serving bowl. Both are faded as but you can still see some of the gold that used to cover all of it. It does have one big chip as can be seen on my pictures so make sure you check them out before deciding on purchasing this item. It's located on the side of the lid and it's that's the only seriously flaw other than the fading of the gold pattern otherwise for its age it's in great condition. ... moreMarked on the bottom is G.D&C Limoges France with four red letters or numbers which is really hard to make out. From my research on this piece I have found it to be anywhere from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. It's a very old piece and with a little cleaning up will be a perfect addition to add to your fine antique china collection. Measures approx. 12" long on the serving bowl from handle to handle. 6 1/2" wide on the inside of the bowl, the lid measures a little under 10" long and 7" wide and it is about 7" tall from top handle to bottom of the bowl. I have not been able to find much info on this pattern but it's very unique to the time period, the bottom mark T75a: green porcelain mark was used 1892-1907. Up for auction is a Scarce and very hard to find Antique Haviland Limoges Feu de Four porcelain plate in beautiful floral pattern. Signed by artist A. Armond. This plate was made by Haviland and Co. Limoges, France in 1893-1895. Plate measures. 8-5/8" or approx. 22cm in diameter. It is edged with a double gold band on the front. Also a gold rim on the back side of the plate. On the back the plate reads: Haviland France Limoges"Feu de Four" The"Feu de Four" mark would indicate that this plate was double fired during the decorating process- an expensive technique that Haviland only used for a short time it was very expensive. DESCRIPTION: I’m offering today an Antique Elite Limoges France Shallow Porcelain Bowl with beautiful gold trim. This Antique bowl has scalloped edges which are trimmed in beautiful heavy gold. The bowl dips down into a shallow well with raised embossed designs in the porcelain. The pale yellow and blue-green tiny flowers decorate the side walls which look quite elegant against the gold trim around the edges. In the very center against the white porcelain is a round band of pastel flowers decorating the elegant design. To finish out the bowl are three bands of matching flowers on the outside rim of the bowl. The bowl has a tiny rim which allows it to sit up from the surface. Up for auction from the Estate I represent on eBay is a beautiful hand-painted Lemonade/Cider pitcher depicting green foliage with ripe strawberries and gold leaf detailing. The greens are muted in celadon tones. Just a lovely country piece of pottery. Over-all the condition for its age is very good. No crazing or cracks. Upon very close scrutiny I did detect a very small flea bite chip in the gold rim that may have been re-touched at one point in time it is not noticeable unless you are very closely examining the piece. This is a beautiful bowl measuring 6" in diameter and bearing two marks: the CORONET LIMOGES FRANCE(BORGFELDT) factory mark. And the decorating mark P.M.de M. LIMOGES FRANCE(MAVALEIX) that date the piece to ca. 1900-1920. The bowl is hand painted and signed by the well known Limoges artist BARIN. Painted over the surface is a large pink leaf and white flowers with enameled gold centers and dark green leaves on stems; they form an Art Nouveau design over a scenic lake background. Circa 1891- 1914.It is decorated with hand painted green leaves and gilt.There are some tiny chips on the back of the tray and one on the edge of the inkwell and minor gilt wear on the sides and front of the tray.These flaws are hard to detect unless up close, so they do not detract from the appearance.Otherwise, all pieces are in very good condition.It measures 2¾ inches high, 10¼ inches across and 6½ inches wide. Description: This auction is for a lovely antique Limoges France A.K. marked(Klingenberg) porcelain lidded teapot. Painted with lovely pink rose flowers, gold paint handle, trim. There are also wavy patterns in relief on the white portions of the pot& lid. The A.K. France mark on the bottom in green, indicates an age between 1880-1890. Condition is good; no chips, cracks or repairs. The teapot measures approximately 4 1/2 inches tall. 8 inches(from spout to handle) by 6 inches wide. I will also be listing a matching sugar bowl that came with this out of estate recently. Please read this description. This offering is for a spectacular handpainted limoges gilded dessert tureen and matching underplate. This set has two marks. The first being a green Limoge porcelain marking and the other being from a boston based jewelery co. Abram French co. Boston. Each piece is superbly formed and features gorgeous ornamental flowers and decoration. The set is in mint condition and is truly unique.
