This auction is for TWO EF Johnson Viking Valiant II transmitters in various stages of disrepair. Neither unit works. The better Valiant has all the parts and is simply unrestored. I think if you replace the electrolytics in that unit. You will shortly have it on the air. It is complete though some case screws are missing. The front panel paint has many scrapes-look closely at the pix.I plugged this in very briefly. The tubes lit up and the electrolytic caps started making sizzling noises so I quickly disconnected it. The second unit is what I will call a parts unit. It is shown in the last 4 pictures with a note that says PARTS included in each pic to indicate that you are looking at the"parts unit.It is missing some of the tubes. Someone started to solid-state the rectifiers and did a sloppy job of it, leaving the job unfinished. It is model# 48-63 manufactured in 1948/9. This radio is also a piece of Canadiana– Dominion Electrohome made the radio under the Viking name for sale in Eatons ... moreDepartment Stores– a Canadian landmark since 1865 and now recently defunct. This is a nice radio to look at. This is a very different radio than most: it has a huge 6 inch speaker in the back of the radio. It also has two power output tubes which in combination with the speaker, make it very loud if required. It also has 6 tubes plus a selenium rectifier making it similar to a 7 tube radio– but much better because of the rectifier. It picks up a lot of stations. When I got it the two colour cabinet it had been nicely refinished and it looks like new reproduction grill cloth. The wooden trim circle around the front has some repairs that actually enhance the look. This is a working radio ready to play. Display and enjoy– the big sound is clear and crisp with no hum. It has one AM Broadcast, band and I replaced all of the original wax/paper capacitors. It features: the Viking logo in gold on the front; a polarized cord; woven grill cloth; back original back; a slide rule dial and a working dial light. He stands around 11 inches tall, is stoutly crafted, and has a removable battle axe with a wood handle. The artist is named MacDougall. Viking Sapphire 870 sewing/quilting machine with auto thread cutter

There is a a run/stop button on dash, up/down needle and pressure foot, fix button, speed, and of course reverse. This machine can sew anything from paper thin silk to leather and vinyl. Auto sensor buttonhole system, well over 100 stitches with 3 different fonts for alphabets/numbers.
