Gorgeous 16" Tall red and amber mid century vase. Very heavy and thick. The design of the top with the colors and shape makes me wonder if it's Viking glass. Perhaps Fayette amber? I don't know anything about vintage glass. Have had this vase for about a decade. M*y apologies for the pictures not being right side up. They refuse to download correctly. Fine from my end, tried repeatedly to correct this* The top opening is 4" x 3.5" The bottom circle is 1/4" x 4" in diameter. The widest part is 6.5" wide and the thinner neck is 3" wide. If you hold the bottom up to the light a certain way. You can distinctly make out an embossed mark in the glass. It looks like a letter"V" or"U" inside of a circle. Striking 16" Tall red and amber/orange circa 1960's floor vase. VERY heavy and thick. I've owned it for about a decade. Adore it but time to let it go. It's wonderful for wild flowers or long stem roses =) I don't know anything about vintage glass. Have had this vase for about a decade. The top opening is 4" x 3.5" The bottom circle is 1/4" x 4" in diameter. The widest part is 6.5" wide and the thinner neck is 3" wide. If you hold the bottom up to the light a certain way. You can distinctly make out an embossed mark on the glass. It looks like a letter"V" or"U" inside of a circle or a symbol of some kind. No question that it's a mark, taking a picture of it very challenging. Pic#12 in the bright light, using the zoom feature will hopefully show it to you. Mint condition ... morewithout any flaws other than the aforementioned light. Superficial(not deep) scratches on the bottom. No worries with shipping it. Estate Sale lot of 3 Vintage Pipes Melrose, Dr. Grabow Viking, The Tinder Box
If you have any questions. Comments or concerns please feel free to contact me. I understand negative feedback, but I cannot learn from my mistakes if you do not let me know what it is I did wrong. This is a lot of three pipes! They are all used but in pretty good condition. And have been cleaned but may need some more cleaning. The first is a Melrose made from Finest Algerian Bruyere as it says on the side under Melrose. The second is a Dr. Grabow Viking made in the U.S.A. The wood looking part screws off for better cleaning. The third is a pipe called The Tinder Box Unique which was made in England. I don't know much about pipes, but they seem to have only minor wear and I put down everything that is engraved on the sides of them. This auction is for One really cool and unusual old ashtray It measures 3 3/4" at the tallest point(by the head) and 3 1/4" tall(where its feet are) Approximately 5 3/4" at the widest point(measured head to feet) Made of heavy frosted satin brown glass. Yellow hues when held up against the light. Six petal flower shape and a figure with applied glass head.Hands and legs.The figure appears to be hugging the flower ashtray. I'm not sure exactly what the figure is. There are no marks indicating year or make.I have never seen one like this.So it is hard to identify it. Heavy Satin glass similar in color was used by"Viking" Glass Company. But I can't tell for sure. All inquiries welcome! This item was previously used.It has a chip on the bottom(approximately 2cm x 2 cm right in the center) Some smaller.Some bigger ... morescratches on the surface.
