These shakers are solid white glass featuring roman arches with a swirled pattern that is hard to see in the photos. Antique Salviati wine glass or goblet. This circa 1900 hand blown goblet is 8.75 inches high and has a top rim diameter of 4.25 inches. Its bowl is decorated with three 2.5 inch high hand painted and fired on scenes of a Greco Roman Centaur and a nude girl. Gold graffito trim and enameled white dots. It has a clear stem decorated with gold aventurine, a folded under base rim and snapped off pontil mark in the center of the bowl’s interior and the center of the underside of the base. Hello and Welcome- This is a gorgeous wine decanter set. Truly incredible! The decanter measures approx. 14" tall w/ stopper. The glass is hand blown and has a twisted applied handle, no gold loss, chips or cracks. The applied buttons show a man in roman dress. The design is the same on both sides of the decanter, so beautiful all the way around. Each glass is hand blown, with applied twisted stems and one button on each. Each glass is approx. 5 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" wide. There is some tiny gold wear on the stopper, but kind of looks like it's just one more reflection in the gold and is hard to notice. Balsamarium is of a light green glass and has one handle(missing top part) It is the kind of container that usually held oil or perfume. Overall. It has great iridescence all over the surface. The dirt adhering to its top is from its excavation site in Israel which was one of the largest areas of blown glass production in the Roman Empire due to the abundant sand available. Listed this week is an important and large estate collection of Chinese Jade and Stone Carvings. Provenance: The majority of this very fine collection is from the estate A. Abraham. If you follow my auctions you will know I have sold a number of important examples from this collection over the past couple months. This is the last of the collection to be sold. Abraham was a highly respected Asian Arts dealer and collector in the 1950-70’ s period which frequently travelled to China. Hong Kong, New York, and London on buying trips at the time. Abraham owned the Imperial Jade shop located in the famous King Edward Hotel in Toronto until his retirement in the year 1976, ... more37 years ago. When the shop closed many of the pieces went to Sotheby’ s in New York for auction. Abraham kept some of his favorite examples that are listed here. The pieces have been in storage since the shop closed in 1976 and have not seen the light of day until now. You will find some of the pieces still retain Abraham’ s price tags and notes from the 1970’ s period. I have not seen a legitimate jade collection of this quality come up for auction on eBay for a very long time. Possibly ever.
