This is an absolutely beautiful emerald green pitcher that is not brand new. Out of the box. My wife bought two of these(see cobalt blue one also listed) from an elderly couples sale. They were well traveled and according to them these were purchased years ago during their travels. This pitcher is perfect. Please see pictures. Two pictures show the pontil snap off mark on bottom with letter M sand blasted inside it. This pitcher has both of the original labels in place. The pitcher is 9 1/2 inches high to top of handle and 7 inches wide at widest spot. It is a deeper green than the pictures suggest, probably due to the lights and flash. This item has been wrapped with large bubble wrap and packed in an oversized shipping box.

Beautiful Deep Cobalt Blue Pitcher Metropolitan Museum Of Art - not a new one!
This is an absolutely beautiful cobalt pitcher that is not brand new. Out of the box. My wife bought two of these(see emerald green one also listed) from an elderly couples sale. They were well traveled and according to them these were purchased years ago during their travels. We thought both pitchers were mint and have had them displayed and just today realized this blue one does have damage where the handle attaches at top. While wiping it clean for pictures I noticed in the crease on side where handle attaches it was not smooth in there and with a flashlight discovered a 1/4 inch long slender chip. Just above this chip is another(on the body) very small but it is there. These are not noticed unless you really look for them in the crease and use a flashlight, otherwise one would probably never know they were there. Very hard to find. But ... morenonetheless it is damage and needs to be addressed and the starting amount is reduced some. Also, a money back guarantee is provided. Please see pictures. One picture shows the pontil snap off mark on bottom with letter M sand blasted inside it. Another picture shows the crease where chips were found but I doubt that they are visible. Sorry this is not an antique. There were no other listings that I could post this item under where it made sense. It is from the Museum. Originally it was designed for the formal Member's dining room upstairs. There was both a salt and pepper cube. The gift shop began to sell them since they were so popular. The height of the cube is 1/18" high x 1" wide x 1" deep. I prefer my pepper from a mill so I was able to split the pair. But now it is time for it to find a new home. It is sterling silver. Listing this evening a nice old Dark Blue Plate with views of historic sites in New York. The plate is 9 1/8" in diameter. There are views of Grants Tomb. The Post Office Building, City Hall, Metropolitan Museum Of Art and the Public Library. The condition is very good with the exception of some flaking off of the glaze on the bottom rim of the plate(see pic#7) There is crazing as would be expected on a plate of this age.
