Its Depth is approximately 1 1/4" If you look very closely at the underside. You can see the MMA initials intermingled with the blue color representing book pages. Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Exhibition Catalog. 101 Pages. Hardcover, cloth covered. No dust Jacket. Black and White Photos- This book is One of ONLY 3000 Printed for the MOMA Trustees, The pages are crisp- see all angles of the book. There are a few faint. Minor marks on the pale probably faded green fabric covering of the hardcover front and back. The spine has a more tan appearance- not sure if this is how it was intended or due to age discoloration and/or ... morestorage. One tiny little split to the fabric on the very top tip of the front cover- top right hand corner. where it wraps over) and one crumple/small bend to the mate- the back cover top left corner. Book closes and lays very flat. NO problems with the spine- it is straight and looks and feels very sturdy and secure. I have been hesitant to turn the pages too much- I am terrified of tearing anything even though the pages are not thin dinky paper. All pages appear to be securely attached. I have seen no marks or damage to any of the pages. The designs shown are stunning- and the black and white photos of the propertues includes architectural renderings of the properties also. When opening the front cover of the book- the paper covering the inside of the cover and the facing page show age discoloration- radiating outward from the center/spine- same thing with the last page and the back cover. The paper is different- much more porous and lower quality than the pages of the book which are slick and glossy feeling, much more substantial. This is a stunning Metropolitan Museum of Art 1996 Snowflake Ornament. On the back of the snowflake is printed"MMA" and"1996. It does not have STER or any other markings on the back of this item. From what I understand the 1996 snowflake was gold plated over sterling silver. All I know is that this particular snowflake does not have any STER markings like I have seen on other 96 snowflakes that have been for sale. I don't know what that says about this one other than it doesn't have that marking. I never call anything"mint" but this is pretty close. If it has any problems. I can not visually see it. My guess it has never been used or not used often. It is a gorgeous, shiny, reflective gold that reflects off all the intricate detailing within the design. I wish I knew who designed it and what it was patterned ... moreafter but I cannot find that information anywhere. If you know, I'd love for you to share it. This snowflake has six points and six more points within the body of the snowflake. Between each of the points on the outside of the snowflake are designs that look like little crowns to me. All of the ends of the intricate details within the body of the ornament meet in a point with a small open circle in the center. There is a small link designed into the snowflake at the top and another link to hang the ornament from a tree or hanger. The box is gold with The Metropolitan Museum of Art New York written in gold on the top of the box. It is in good condition with no rips. Tears or problems with the corners. It is a little dirty on the back of the box. The g rey sleeve that comes with the ornament is also in good condition with a little fray on one end. This MMA ornament has clearly been lovingly stored and well taken care of. I have included pictures from every angle. This is the item you will receive. Up for auction today I have a MMA Metropolitan Meseum of Art Silver Snowflake Ornamant. I have not cleaned it as seen in the photo will that up to the buyer. It is from 1990 and will come with its original box. Paper and pouch. It will make a great addition to any holiday collection. It is in excellent vintage shape.
