Up for sale is a vintage Queen cast iron mini stove in great vintage condition. This piece measures roughly 6" x 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" It is in great condition with the door sometimes having minor trouble staying shut. It was purchased from an estate auction laden with many other collectibles and I do not know much about it. I will do my best to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge in a timely manner. Antique Cast Iron 2-2-0 Railroad Locomotive Toy Floor Train Engine Ives 176
Measuring about 8 inches long by 3.75 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide. This early cast iron Ives 176 locomotive does have some issues. Some time ago, it was sold by me on Ebay, to a train guy who bid the price up very high, paid for it, then asked for a deep discount upon receipt. It was subsequently returned and is being relisted. Not knowing too much about toy trains, I can tell you that it is basically held together only by the pins in the wheels. It is also cracked at the pin on top of the cowcatcher. Moreover, the pin within the front wheels has a flattened shape at one end, suggesting perhaps, replaced wheels. Exactly as pictured, it is black in color with gold trim and has red back wheels. Lastly, it is embossed 176, beneath the single cab window, on both sides. Handsome despite flaw, it displays well and will make a nice addition ... moreto any early, cast iron toy train collection. THIS IS THE ARCADE REO COUPE MADE BY THE ARCADE TOY CO. IN 1931. THEY MADE TWO COLORS, THIS ON IS THE ALL GRAY MODEL WITH RED PINSTRIPING. THIS CAR IS A LITTLE OVER 9 INCHES LONG, AND HAS A 2 PIECE BODY. THE BODY CAN BE TAKEN OFF THE FRAME WITH ONE BOLT IN THE CENTER FROM THE BOTTOM. THE WHEELS ARE ALL CAST IRON, THE GRILL IS NICKEL PLATED CAST IRON. THIS CAR IS MARKED ARCADE ON THE INSIDE OF THE RIGHT DOOR, IT SAYS ARCADE AND UNDER THE ARCADE IT SAYS USA. THE FRAME HAS A NUMBER 147 STAMPED IN IT. VISABLE FROM THE BOTTOM. IT HAS A RUMBEL SEAT IN THE REAR, THE LID OPENS, AND SAYS REO IN RAISED LETTERS ON THE RUMBLE SEAT LID.
