Antique 1902 Die Gartenlaube German Magazine Engraving Newspaper Bound Book Vtg
Antique Book This auction is for one of several really great antique German books I have listed this week from the same local German estate. The book is titled Die Gartenlaube Illustriertes Familienblatt which I believe translates into The Garden Arbor– Illustrated Family Magazine. On the inside. It’s filled with really great family related advertising, illustrations and stories from the time. Just a wonderful look back into time! Some illustrations are color and higher, frame worthy quality. Great piece and guaranteed old! In excellent condition with just some wear to the cover– inside pages are very clean. Spine covering is almost falling off. It appears to be a complete year of newspapers bound together and it’s dated 1902. Measures about 9½" x 12¾" I charge a 5.1% sales tax to all Wisconsin residents- sorry. It's ... moremandatory! Thanks for bidding! Shipping rules: If you happen to win more than one auction and live in the United States I will GREATLY discount shipping. Obviously. 1863 bound book of Harpers weekly magazine/newspapers Civil War Col. Tom Thumb
Ok here is a rare one-nicely bound an almost full year(1863) of Harpers weekly newspapers. They are a few missing and they are noted on one of the pics. Also a few tears here and there but nothing really destructive to the overall quality of this item. They measure 1.5 inches or less and are scattered. But mostly in the first few months. All the popular issues are here including the wedding of Tom Thumb
COSMOPOLITAN Magazine Six Bound Volumes 1914 June-November Harrison Fisher
Bound collection of 6 volumes of Cosmopolitan Magazine: June-November 1914. With the January 1914 magazine cover on the front and the December 1914 magazine cover on the back. The 832 pages include stories by popular writers of the day including Rudyard Kipling, Rex Beach, Mary Roberts Rinehart, Gouverneur Morris, and George Randolph Chester; beautiful photographs of stage stars; and illustrations by Howard Chandler Christy and Charles Dana Gibson. The volume has a plastic cover around it. There is a small tear at the bottom front left of the volume at the spine and a crease/almost tear going across the bottom of the cover. This volume is 100 years old so naturally there is some fading and foxing but the interior pages look very good. I'm not sure if the binding was done professionally but it's still holding up.
