It is a catalog of sash. Doors and all kinds of millwork With A Twist. The first 83 pages have had newspaper comic strips glued onto them. you're guess is as good as mine as to why. It appears the comics are from about the same time period as the book. And some are Black Americana themed. Here's what I see on the comic side: To cut down on bulk it looks like between every page of comics. Two pages of the catalog were torn out. Some comics I see are Foxy Grandpa on a ferry boat. Lots of Victorian dressed characters in different comics, Fatty Felix and Those Flipp Boys, two black comics with one being Pore Lil Mose. Its in good shape for its age the cover is dirty and it has a tear on the bottom edge thats on the first page as well. The rest of the book is good. 1906"Sweet's Indexed Catalogue of Building Construction" published by the Architectural Record Company. This was the builders bible of the latest and greatest building and architectural supplies and materials. The third photo is the table of contents of the types of materials included in the catalog. It has a more of a commercial flavor but also some residential items. Items are listed by their company. It does not list prices but was meant to provide a source of information for builders. Contractors, suppliers, etc. I wish I could show you all the photos, listings as they are awesome. This catalog is HUGE. It is approximately 8.5 x 11" inches. It has a whopping 760 pages. It is hard cover and the covers are in very good condition with very little edge wear. The binding is very tight yet. The pages are a heavy glossy stock. ... moreThere are no missing or torn pages. It is in like new condition. I first thought it was a reprint but it is not a reprint- it is an original 1906 catalog in very good. Like new condition. I have had it for awhile and thought I would never sell it as it is fun to look through and use for reference and research.
