The entire pot is painted in those gorgeous Victorian colors of greens light to dark then the artist who did not sign this. Added with the right touches of color, bouquets of roses in pinks then trimmed it in Gold. The pot stands approx. 9" tall. This is in Excellent condition free from damage. Little to no gold wear. Marked on the bottom with the Guerin mark which dates it from 1891. 19th Century Quality painting. William Guerin(1838-1912) was born near Limoges and trained in porcelain techniques. After military service, he rented a porcelain decorating workshop in the Faubourg Montjovis(Limoges) in 1836, doing export. About 1872 Guerin took over the porcelain workshop of Lebron& Cie. Then in 1877 he bought the porcelain factory that had been established by Jouhanneaud and Dubois in Rue du Petit-Tour(Limoges) and which had been bought in 1867 by the Utzschneider Company of Saurregemines and run by Leopold Dubois. This enlarged company produced a wide range of wares, selling a lot of whiteware and also continuing decoration. Guerin's sons William and Andre joined the company in 1903. In 1911 W. Guerin& Cie merged with the nearby Pouyat factory, buying 3/4 of Pouyat; the new firm became Guerin& Cie. Possibly both company marks were continued; in any case WWI greatly decreased output. In 1920 or 1921 by Bawo& Dotter Ltd. owner of Elite name, bought Guerin& Cie and became Guerin Pouyat Elite, with Carl Bawo as technical director from 1923. ANTIQUE LIMOGES A.LANTERNIER & CO. GOLD-RIMMED POPPY PLATE 6-1/4" FROM 1890's
Lovely antique Limoges gold-rimmed porcelain plate with back stamping that suggests it was made in the 1890's by A. Lanternier& Co. I believe the signature says'Herzzig' Which is an odd spelling but could be correct. became famous during the 19th century. However. Is a generic term for porcelain produced in Limoges rather than at a specific factory. More than 50% of all porcelain made in France comes from Limoges. A. Lanternier and Co. was founded by the Frederic Lanternier family in 1855 in Limoges. France, and his son Alfred joined the company in 1887. The initial“A” stands for Alfred Lanternier. I'm parting with several Portmeirion and Belleek pieces as well as a Lowestoft Mottahedeh cache pot(at my age. It's time) so check my other items. Hoping this gorgeous poppy plate finds a good home.

Up for Auction is a Vintage/Antique White with Blue/Gold/Red Trim Design Limoges Covered Serving Dish-Old Abby Pattern Made between 1920 to 1938. Not sure of the exact year. All I could find out was information on the Green Porcelain Mark which they called M40b was used from 1920 to 1938 until the factory closed in 1938. This dish is in Beautiful condition for it's age. There are no cracks. Chips or scratches. There is a small mark on the bottom of the dish, a very small spot on the gold that is missing which you have to look very hard to see it, also a few small spots, one under the handle, one near the handle. The rim of the lid is rough and slightly discolored- please see photos. The bowl measures 7 12" from rim to rim. The inner part of the bowl measures 5" accross and is 1" deep. The cover is 5 1/2" accross and ... more1 3/4" deep. The edge of the cover is rough, I don't know if it's supposed to be that way or if it's from use. Antique Limoges T&V France vase. It stands 12 1/2" tall. 15 1/2" around the widest part, and 5" wide across the base. It is hand painted with a young girl on a bench while a cherub whispers in her ear. There are three cherubs in the air, and cupid with his arrow coming close to her. The colors are soft, and the neck and base is a lovely aqua with raised gold decoration. There is no gold loss, no cracks or chips. The vase is in fine condition. Marked LIMOGES FRANCE( Coiffe factory white ware mark ca.1891-1914) and CORONET LIMOGES FRANCE( Borgfeldt factory decorating mark ca.1906-1920) The pitcher was decorated at the factory with hand painted pink roses on a green and white background. The rim of the spout and the base are brushed with gold. And the handle is heavily gilded. The piece is 13" high. 5" in diameter at the widest point, and 4 1/2" in diameter at the base. The rim is scalloped and trimmed in gold that is full and intact. The painting itself is of a full bouquet of pink roses that are touched with yellow and filled with daisies with a background of greenery that sits over a teal green which is deep in color around the outside and fades under the bouquet. The art work is exceptional and fascinating. It draws the eye and encourages touch. This is definitely a very pleasing piece of work. Martial Redon Marks ~ The back of this plate bares two marks; the first is a MR factory mark in a green under glaze and the second is their decorators mark in a red over glaze. This is Jean Pouyat Limoges with the green mark which dates it to Circa 1900. This piece is hand decorated with vibrant red roses accented with green leaf stems on one side with a single rose on the other. A single rose on the lid. On the inside just below the spout the is a molded strainer. The artwork is very vivid and crisp. You can feel the detail of the enamel embelishments. The flowers are bursting with colors red, and gold, on flowing vines. All this accented with thick gold guilding on the edge and accenting leaf design on the spout and handle. RARE Antique LIMOGES Wm GUERIN Hand painted Roses Vase Cachepot Double marked We are thrilled to be offering this very rare antique vase/ cachepot made AND decorated by the Wm. Guerin& Co. factory in Limoges. France. The stunning piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs, and there is very minimal wear to the gold gilting. This beauty features roses in a variety of pleasing pastel colors. The piece has 2 different Limoges Guerin marks, which according to my research makes this a very rare find. The factory marked the pieces that they made and then sent most of them to other companies as white blanks for decorating. The decorating house would then sometimes add their mark to the piece. This special piece has a second Guerin mark which signifies that the piece was decorated in-house. I cannot find any other ... morepieces that have the 2 Guerin marks. The marks date the piece to between 1890 and 1932. The approximate measurements are 9 inches high, 7 inches wide, and 4 inches from front to back. This really is a wonderful piece that would look great as a cachepot on your desk or counter. It would also be great as a vase with flowers in it. There are not many pieces made by them by this particular name. I have been selling Limoges for 9 years and only come across them once in a great while. The pattern name is Bridal Wreath according to what I have found. I found the hallmark in my Collector's Encyclopedia on page 32. It dates circa 1880-1891. When you stop to think these sets are 122 years old, the condition they still remain only validates the quality of the Limoges china. The condition is good without any damage. There is no crazing. Chips, cracks or hairlines. Very beautiful tiny and delicate pink flowers intertwined with pale lavender flowers in a garland swag design. My antique dealer tells me this is a rare early Limoges porcelain oyster plate. He loves the opalescent painting and raised shapes that make the shells look real. It measures 7 7/8" in diameter and sits 1/2" above the table at the edge and 3/4" to the top of the shells. The pattern has oyster shells trimmed in gold with sea shells and seaweed as a background. The bottom has"something) G.L. impressed and a painted red triangle Limoges mark.The plate weighs 1 pound 2.2 ounces. This plate is in excellent condition for it's age and use. There is very minor wear on the gold paint around the shells(pictured) There is a small chip on the bottom of the plate(pictured) I can find no other flaws of any kind. Antique Ceramic Salt & Pepper Shakers Handpainted Limoges Style possibly Japan?
A charming set of very old salt and pepper shakers that measure 2.5" x 2" They are still functioning. But the holes are larger than modern shakers so need to use coarse salt and pepper rather than the boxed. This pair is not pristine. It shows its age and wear. The base of one is slightly cracked and there are aging spots throughout. The corks are not original and not interchangeable as the openings are different sizes. Each shaker has a chip under the rim. I've included many untouched photos. The condition is very visible in these. I am guessing these are from the early part of the last century based on others I've seen. Beautiful. Simple, ivory and gold Limoges porcelain powder box. Embossed with scrolls on the lid and on the sides. It has 3 delicately curved legs painted in gold. You can see light through the porcelain. This piece measures 4 inches round and 2 1/2 inches high. Marked in green under the glaze is, Limoges France" and has greenish handwritten initials, D.I.C. Stunning Antique 19th Century Haviland Limoges Hand Decorated Figural Leaf Bowl
Absolutely lovely estate find! Large cupped leaf shaped Limoges porcelain bowl made by Haviland& Co. that dates back to the late 1800s. My guess is that this was a piece of whiteware(or blank)that was later decorated by an amateur. This is purely a guess. However, and in my opinion does not detract from it's beauty. The interior has ombre painted pastels starting with a very soft pale green in the bottom that fades up to a pale pink and finishes with gold trim. The exterior features loosely painted modern art thorny pink rose transfers. Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, minimal paint rub. Measures about12" across the widest part and 3 1/2" tall. The pattern is a match to the oval dishes on my other auction. The largest serving dish has a diameter of 9 inches from handle to handle and is 5.5 inches high to the top of the rope finial. The smaller round butter dish is 6.5 inches in diameter and 4 inches high. The bottoms are impressed with an English Registry Mark. Hard to read. This beauiful plate have made it for over 100 years. 4 plates. 8 3/4" across. Pretty blue flowers with gold trim. I have taken pictures of the marks and lable on the back of the plate. No chips. I do have 2 extra with chips. If you buy them all I will give you the other 2.

Comprising 14 pieces of fine, nearly translucent porcelain. By GDA Limoges(Gerard, Dufraisseix, Abbot) this pattern is exceptional, featuring delicate pink and white flowers(I think the flowers are petunias and fuchsias) and foliage of both a medium olive green and a very pale gray-green, on a white ground. The pieces boast heavy and elaborate embossing; intricately designed handles; lots of gold daubs and trim; and the saucers have prettily scalloped rims. This is a pattern that manages to be both elegant and“shabby chic” at the same time. The service consists of a tea pot. A ... morecreamer, and six(6) sets of footed teacups and saucers. Unfortunately. I don’t have the sugar bowl. Measurements: Teapot: Approximately 5” high at the highest point. approximately 8½” wide from handle to spout Creamer: Approximately 2¾” high at the highest point. 5” wide at the widest point Teacups: Approximately 2 1/8” high& 3½” in diameter Saucers: Approximately 5½” in diameter Marks: On the bottom are the two GDA Limoges marks: the porcelain maker’s mark. And the decorator’s mark. Condition: This set is in excellent antique condition. There are no cracks or repairs. And the only chip I can find is on the rim of the teapot where the lid is placed(pictured) Otherwise, I have found no other chips, no cracks, no repairs. I believe these pieces received very little use. The only other thing to mention is that one of the cups has only one decoration/decal inside the cup. Whereas all the others have four. Antique Chelsea Hotel Oblong Dinner Plate GDA Limoges China Restaurant Ware 10” NM Here is a lovely oblong restaurant ware plate made by GDA Limoges. France, and distributed by John Wanamaker, for the Chelsea Hotel in Atlantic City, ca. early 1900s. The plate measures 10” long by 7” wide, and is in near mint condition, having scant, fine little surface marks from utensils. The pattern around the rim portrays swags of pink flowers that resemble asters or daisies. The Chelsea Hotel was built in 1899 and situated right on the boardwalk. It featured not only fresh hot& cold water taps in each room, but also salt water taps from the Atlantic Ocean. Atlantic City was developed in the 1850s as a health resort. The Camden& Atlantic Railway linked it to Philadelphia, and by 1874, the rail carried 500,000 passengers to the American Hotel, owned ... moreby that railway, and other hotels built in the area. The boardwalk was built in 1970 to keep sand out of the lobbies of the posh hotels along the New Jersey shore; the first road to Atlantic City was completed the same year. Another rail line began to offer service to Atlantic City in 1878: The Philadelphia& Atlantic City Railway. The Chelsea Hotel was demolished in the 1979s. In its glory days, the hotel hosted Presidents William Howard Taft, Woodrow Wilson, and Franklin Roosevelt. Antique salt and pepper shakers Victorian hand painted roses gold bead Limoges?
2 1/2" high an 2 1/2" wide. there are three chips onthe top of one. 1 major, 1 small& 1 tiny. Missing one cork, other than that they are in great condition. No makers mark. Made of very white porcelain(identified by the bottom. the top is ivory color with gold accents and beading around the edge. Background is a deep moss green and dark reddish-brown(sienna? maybe airbrushed on. The roses are deep pink variations with brush marks and teal gree-blue leaves fade to white tips. Very cute& elegant at the same time. This item will be packed very well and double boxed. Shipping includes tracking.

Very pretty antique set of seven(7) Limoges bread or dessert plates in the Bridal Wreath pattern. Made by Bawo& Dotter Elite Works. Very old dating to late 1800 early 1900s. These are being sold as is. Some have small nicks on the edge or have been repaired. They really are a nice group in spite of it and can easily be touched up if someone knows how to do that. Many people buy vintage china and restore the pieces as they are discontinued or very hard to find patterns. Especially in the Limoges. Each plate measures 6-1/2 inches. Any questions. Antique Limoges France Jean Pouyat Hand Painted Grapes Tankard Pitcher
This is an Antique J.P.L. Limoges France Hand Painted Grapes Tall Tankard Pitcher by Jean Pouyat- beautifully decorated with exquisite Hand Painted Grapes and Grape Vines in all shades of light to deep green/ purple/ red/ orange background with a beautifully carved handle. Both the under glaze Limoges mark and embossed numbers are a proof of Authenticity. The dimensions are approximately: 12 3/4" tall; 4" across the opening to spout; and 6" across the bottom. The Tankard was purchased at an Estate Sale years ago. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. This is some slight wearing of the brown paint on the bottom of the pitcher.
