Governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony. The desk is a reproduction made by the Maddox Table Co. of Jamestown, New York. This desk comes right out of the New England estate. The desk has those wonderful features most folks are looking for, such as all-wood drawers with dovetail corners, and clawed feet. The hardware and locks are the originals that came with the desk, not replacements. The desk was in my family for around 60 or so years, so the desk dates to at least 1950, and it may be older than that- I'm just not sure. The desk is the slant-front style, hinged at the bottom, so it opens up and the front lays flat to become the writing surface; the desk front can be locked. When the desk front is opened and lowered into the writing position, two arms come out automatically to support the writing surface. Inside the desk there are 3 small drawers, and holders for stashing letters and so forth. In the center of the opened desk, inside, there is a closed compartment with no lock; the compartment door is scratched. There are 3 drawers below the writing surface that extend almost the full width of the desk, and each one of them can be locked. These drawers have a graceful bow front(see photos) Above the desk itself is a prominent feature, a bookcase with 2 shelves covered by hinged glass doors that swing out and can be locked. The bookcase doors do not line up 100% vertically when closed, a common problem with these desks. This piece remains very beautiful, with a rich walnut complexion and a highly pronounced grain. The face is flanked by a set of carved columns that run the entire height of this piece, which ends with elegant bun feet. A total of 11 drawers and 1 interior cabinet provide a large amount of storage space, all under lock and key. The locks, however, are quite worn and operate with difficulty. The moulding has also sustained some wear, including a minor wood separation in the front and a filled-in missing piece in the back. Overall condition therefore remains very good. The desk provides a very beautiful workspace. With a variety of drawers. This secretaire contains plenty of storage space. The sides look great. The finish on the very top has worn a bit. The roof was made from cardboard and paper to simulate shingled and rolled roofing. The doors and windows are Tichy. Pallet and crate on the dock are included. Little Tikes Blue Roof Dollhouse With Family Baby & Furniture
Up for auction is a Little Tikes blue roof dollhouse with lots of furniture and people. The dollhouse is super clean and in great shape. The only thing I can't find is the porch that slides out from the kitchen. This set includes two kitchens. Table and chairs, couch and love seat,baby furniture, and family. The family dolls have been played with quite a bit and do show signs of wear. The smiles have worn off and dad and brothers shirt sleeves are wearing as well. Selling a genuine Blue's Clues Thinking Chair! This is a real upholstered piece of furniture! We've kept it very nice. Our son has now grown out of it. It is in very good condition. From a non-smoking. Pet-free home. One side of the black velvety piping in the back area has come up- but it has not separated from the chair. See pic. Vintage 1950s- 1960s Wolverine tin dollhouse. Lovely metal two story colonial style home. Wonderful details throughout. Dollhouse is in great vintage condition. It does show signs of age. It is missing the door. The pegs that hold one of the windows has broken off. Large front window is intact but has some rungs that are broken. The garden path on the base at the front of the house is bent slightly upward. Some light rust inside. Chimney that clipped on is missing, Roof is in good shape with some minor dimpling. The metal is clean and it still has a nice shine to it. This piece measures 21 1/2 x 12" and stands 15 1/2" tall. Weighs 6 pounds. Wolverine Tin Litho Metal Dollhouse. Vintage Late 1950's- Early 1960's. Vintage Wolverine Metal Dolhouse in very good condition. Does have a few dings and dents and the bottom is slightly ... morebent. This was the first Barbie Dream House ever to be released. Furniture is made entirely of thick. Sturdy cardboard. You'll find several pieces of furniture with this set, though it is not complete. All of the furniture except for the stereo console look barely used. The stereo has some wear mainly where you open and close the cabinet at the top. Also. One of the legs on the cabinet is bent. There's a bit of staining on the floor but overall it's in very nice shape. The exterior of the case shows some wear at the corners. See pic#s 2 and 3. I am selling a bench that will fit 14-18 inch doll such as American Girl/ Our Generation. I used an 18 inch doll as model. It is in very good condition. Good quality wood. Wicker material on where the doll sits. One doll can fit into it. I don't see any major dings on the wood. There is no hole on the wicker part. Cute chair! It is about 7 1/2 inches tall. 9 1/2 inches wide including the arm chair. The area where the doll sits is 4 3/4 inches from back to front and 7 1/2 inches from left to right. The doll can sit just right as you can see from the pictures, it would help though if there is a foot stool for the dolls that cannot bend the knees. Doll with the clothes not included.
