Complementing the exquisite wood is not only the fine, stained interior, but also the solid brass, winged escutcheons, all of which house functioning locks. The astragal glass itself is quite elegant, providing a classic appearance and a clear, beautifully framed view into the interior of the bookcase. Each section of glass on every door is an individual pane of glass. Shaped bracket feet provide sturdy support, while all shelves are fully adjustable. Antique Korean Black Lacquer w/ Abalone Inlay Living Room Furniture
I am helping my 90 year old neighbor sell off his antique Korean furniture and various other dolls and wall hangings. He purchased these items well over 50 years ago when his wife was alive and actually she was the one who did the collecting. The black lacquer furniture was bought from a Korean family that was moving back to Asia. The furniture was old when my neighbor acquired it and it is show quality craftsmanship. Supposedly the people that make this furniture go blind at an early age. The detail work is incredible! The furniture is in overall very good condition for it's age. There is one end table that is NOT pictured. But it is identical to the one that IS pictured. I just didn't get a shot of it yet. Both end tables have a fairly small chip on one front corner. It doesn't look that bad, and I can get a close up detail ... morephoto for you if you like and send it to you. The furniture has some small scratches and scuffs that look like normal wear and tear to me, but I consider this furniture well above average and well taken care of. Up for auction are 5 vintage antique primitive wood round furniture pulls recently found at auction in the suburban Philadephia. PA area. All have what appear to be original hardware. There are two different sizes. They two smallest measure approximately 1 1/4" in diameter. The largest three have an approximate diameter of apprroximately 1 3/4" in size. screw is approximately 1" long. Originally white, they have been painted green. All five show losses to the paint. From the careful. Sculpted shapes to the well appointed hardware, hand-painted accents to frosted glass-type panes, no detail was overlooked! Very unusual to see in a set this old. There are eight pieces in total: a hutch. Kitchen table, bench, two chairs, foot stool, kitchen sink and hanging cupboard. Hutch measures 9.5" tall. 9.5" long and 4.75" wide. This Sturdy Mirror is in very nice condition. With no real damage, although there IS some slight separation at some corners, and a bit of wear, appropriate for its age, but no real damage to speak of. Perfect for a large wall or hallway. This was made to hang horizontally OR vertically. And has hangars attached to hang it either way. This is probably from the turn of the century. Possibly 1910-1930, but I can't be certain. The New Orleans Furniture Manufacturing Co was in business from the late 1800's, so it could be older. But again, I really don't know. The back has a" New Orleans Furniture Mfg Co" sticker. As you can see in the photos. This ... morelooks great. And has NO real damage that I can find. If you look closely at the frame, you'll see there's a fine line, or'split' along one side. This appears to have been in the wood from when this was made, and there's a'repair' holding the frame together. I'm sure there's NO danager of the split getting any worse. Please see the pics. Which are all of the actual mirror) MEASUREMENTS: 28 1/ 4" Wide X 22 1/4" Tall. With Frame. The actual mirror(opening in frame) is 23 3/8" x 17 7/8" The wood frame is right at 2 3/8" Wide all around& 1" Deep. And there is decoration at the top& sides which make the frame a bit taller/wider. this is fairly heavy at appx 14# shipping weight is appx 22 pounds when safely packed& boxed) As you see in the pictures. This is Beautiful! VERY well made, in VERY Nice Condition, especially considering it's age. Two. Vintage, used, old, wood, wooden, brass, desk, cabinet, furniture drawers, possibly antique. The larger drawer shows overall wear including scratches. Scuff marks, discoloration, unoriginal paint marks found, missing finish, nicks and chips found to the wood, and the back of the drawer appears to have been replaced with a piece of wood as there is a partial advertising label found. The smaller drawer is scratched. Discolored, stained, the brass is tarnished, and there is slight looseness found to the brass back piece. The larger drawer measures approximately 8.5” x 8.25” x 3.5” tall at the back and 3.25” at the front.
