It was likely made in the early 1900's. Made of oak. And has a spooncarved front. There are no identifying markings. It is in excellent shape and it has the original finish. Brass fittings show a bit of tarnish but should clean up easily with a little TLC. Three of the posts on the brass rail at the top are loose but can be easily secured with a little bit of attention. One of the rail ends is stripped so that will need to be secured as well. Otherwise this piece is ready for your home. I would be happy to provide more detailed photos if requested. I hate to part with such a beautiful and unique item but we no longer have the room and it just doesn't fit our decor. The dimensions are 40 1/2” tall its tallest point. 33 1/2“ wide at its widest point at the base, and 19” deep when closed,and 34“ deep when opened. Local pickup only.

Governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony. The desk is a reproduction made by the Maddox Table Co. of Jamestown, New York. This desk comes right out of the New England estate. The desk has those wonderful features most folks are looking for, such as all-wood drawers with dovetail corners, and clawed feet. The hardware and locks are the originals that came with the desk, not replacements. The desk was in my family for around 60 or so years, so the desk dates to at least 1950, and it may be older than that- I'm just not sure. The desk is the slant-front style, hinged at the bottom, so it opens up and the front lays flat to become the writing surface; the desk front can be locked. When the desk front is opened and lowered into the writing position, two arms come out automatically to support the writing surface. Inside the desk there are 3 small drawers, and holders for stashing letters and so forth. In the center of the opened desk, inside, there is a closed compartment with no lock; the compartment door is scratched. There are 3 drawers below the writing surface that extend almost the full width of the desk, and each one of them can be locked. These drawers have a graceful bow front(see photos) Above the desk itself is a prominent feature, a bookcase with 2 shelves covered by hinged glass doors that swing out and can be locked. The bookcase doors do not line up 100% vertically when closed, a common problem with these desks. This doesn't mean that you can't close them or lock them when closed, but it is something I should point out. Above the bookcase is decorative trim with a twin swan&#

Antique Furniture Stamp/Seal in Brass On a Wooden Block
This item is a very old brass stamp on a wooden support block. It measures 4" x 2.5" One side of the stamp has a piece of furniture that looks like a jewelry armoire on it. The other side is made to allow continual changes in the stamping. Possibly the blank side offered a place to customize the stamping with an individual's name. Another, very possible reason the one side is blank is due to erasure. Someone grinding out the original engraving. Either way it is an interesting and rare piece. 1941 handmade antique vintage doll furniture, wrapped wicker,oil cloth seats
This is a very old handmade antique set of doll furniture. A chair and sofa. It is wicker that has been bent, then some of it has been wrapped with thin strips, like caning strips. The seats are made of an old leather-like material with a flower pattern. I don't know the material, but it is woven underneath with a stiffer material over it. It is cracked like old leather. I think its oil cloth. The sofa is 7 inches long, 4 inches deep and 7 inches high. The chair is 3 inches wide, 3 inches deep and 6 inches high. One of the arms of the sofa has come apart from the seat and needs to be fixed. I don't want to mess it up with crazy glue. There is a fifth leg at the center back of the bottom that has been wrapped at the top, for stabilization? and its crooked. Doesn't sit straight. It's an Italian early 20th century chest. With 3 drawers and many different designs. It's gold and turquoise for the majority of it but there are 3 very minor issues. Here we have a matching pair of wonderful antique architectural or furniture detail pieces probably hand carved and made of wood. These pieces feature beautifully carved lion or dog heads atop an"S" shaped curve with a spiral motif at the bottom. These would be great to re-purpose into a piece of furniture. Shelf supports or whatever you can imagine. Measuring approximately 23 1/2" high and 1 7/8" wide, if mounted against a wall they would measure about 7 3/4" at the top of the lions heads, the furthest point from the wall. ANTIQUE 30s ART DECO COCKTAIL BAR LIQUOR CABINET MADE BY HERON FURNITURE, LONDON
This stunning cocktail cabinet dates from the mid- to late 1930s and it's gorgeous in burled walnut with curvy edges. Wonderful bronze cabinet hardware and a totally glamorous interior. The center automatically lights up when opened to reveal a candy-striped mirrored interior and a lovely mirrored platform stand on the door to mix drinks. There are three mirrors in the cabinet interior, one on the back, one on the cabinet floor, and one on the mixing platform so it sparkles and shimmers with light as it opens. The brand is Heron(Henry Ronson) The highly coveted London manufacturer of fine dining room furniture. It's a grand piece with plenty of room for storage of all manner of glassware, liqueurs, barware and the like. The wood appears to be burled walnut veneer and is in exceptional condition. The only scuffs are along the base toekick trim of the cabinet. Which would be expected considering its age. The scuffs will likely easily disppear with Howard's wood preservative or Old English scratch cover but I have left the cabinet as-is for now. This cocktail cabinet is located in the greater Boston area and free local pick-up is available. GORGEOUS ANTIQUE LARGE SOLID WALNUT HAND CARVED FURNITURE PEDIMENT
Up for bid is a very large. Solid walnut, antique furniture pediment. Believed to be from the mid to late 19th century this beautifully hand carved pediment could be just the piece you've been looking for to compliment that project waiting in your shop. The pediment stands 25" high x just under 59" in length x 4-1/4" deep. There are a few minor chips, scuff areas or missing carving near the top, shown in the pictures as a lighter wood, probably a part that was recent damage, prior to my purchase. The lower portion as I show in the 11th picture, on the rear of the pediment, also has some minor damage, but it is on the back edge and less noticeable. The panels, with incised carved that flank the center carving, maybe a burled walnut veneer, so with a little light elbow grease, perhaps this piece after some clean up, could ... moreshow those panels off a little better. It consists of a dining table with 6 chairs(one arm chair and 5 side chairs) with 3 extension leafs and a fabulous buffet or sideboard. All pieces have very intricate hand carvings. The table is in extremely good condition for its age, with only a few minor nicks that come with something that is almost 100 yrs old. The chairs are not original fabric, and are actually good candidate for easy re-upholstering to the pattern of your choice. Here we have an absolutely beautiful couch. it's very comfortable as well. I'm not sure of age but it's definitely old. It seems to have a very heavy silk type upholstery. There are a few stains as shown in the picture and the one cushion has some wear going on but not very noticeable. It just needs a cleaning but I don't know much about cleaning that type of material so I'm selling as is. A beautiful piece that can be picked up only.

These rails are double dove-tailed and older; one has a newer turnbuckle. One has a Deboer turnbuckle. It has no writings on the wood; the other has"ETEX" in black marker on both sides. Since this original paper was from when Newton's was just opening in Morristown, it has to be from at least as far back as the 1920's. You can tell from the illustrations of the furniture, accessories, appliances(see old refrigerator icebox) that this is old, what we consider to be antique furniture but back when it was first sold as new. Vintage Antique 24" Pink Wooden Rocking Chair Children's Doll Furniture Decor
This item is stored in a box away from smoke and other damaging elements. I'm not sure what kind of wood it's made from. But it's heavy and solid. The exterior of the chair is light pink, sturdy, detailed and likely hand-crafted as there are no labels visible. It's an excellent model measuring 14" x 11 1/2" x 24 1/2" and has a nice 9 1/2" x 4" x 7 1/2" hidden box under the seat. The hidden space is unpainted with no finish. The outer layer of paint has some fading and scrapes. The most noticeable is the weathered decals. This unique piece of mini furniture was found amongst other items dating between the 1970's-1980's. Holland, MI between 1907 and 1925, has been in the family for decades. Was going to be restored by grandpa, but passed. Missing sections on only the bottom of one side/rear& leg.
