Vintage.950 Mexican Silver(25 Higher Than Sterling) Agate Scarf Slide or Pendant! Pre-1948! First. The Mexico 950 hallmark was only used from 1900 to 1948. This has the look of the 40s within that timeframe. Mexico is one of the few places that produced silver jewelry that is more pure than Sterling! Pure Silver is considered to be 999 parts of silver out of a thousand(999) Sterling Silver is 925 parts silver out of a thousand(925) With the balance being a mix of copper and other minerals. This is 950 parts of silver out of a thousand(950) which gives it a wonderful weight and depth of glow. As explained below, it did test as 950 Silver. This versatile piece can work either as a scarf slide or as a pendant! Fine Large Antique Mexican Cross with Handmade Milagros / Mexico Circa 1880-1910
Antique Mexican Cross with Milagros Mexico- 19th Century ~ please scroll down for more photos ~ SIZE: Height- 25" Width- 13.5" Thickness- 0.75" DESCRIPTION: Antique Mexican black-painted wood cross with over one hundred metal Milagros nailed on to it. Circa 1880- 1910. The wood cross is finely made. With nicely finished edges and shaped with three lobes at the ends of the pieces. It has three holes in the back where it was once attached to something, maybe a wall or altar in a church, and a more recent brass attachment at the top for hanging. The milagros are quite varied. Both in the different images they represent and in the way they were made. Some are molded, some are molded with stamped and chiseled details, but most are completely handmade from flat sheet metal that has been cut out and detailed with rocker-engraving, ... morerepousse, and engraved- chiseled designs and features. They also seem to vary in their metal content with some being plain or gilded brass, some gilded copper, and some made of silver, silver plated, and gilded silver. It is difficult to know what many are made of as they have developed an very darkened aged patina over the past 100 or more years. Many of the flat Milagros are made in techniques reminiscent of Native American silver work from the Southwest- New Mexico area. These have rocker-engraving. Annealing marks visible, and small end-of-file or leather stamp designs(for the eyes of some of the charms) which you can see in the close-up photos. AGE: Circa 1880- 1910 CONDITION: Good condition. As shown in the photos and with the following noted: Probably a few Milagros and nails have been lost. The wood has developed an old, worn patina to the black-painted surfaces. The Milagros have developed a very dark patina and a few are bent or have small losses. The wood cross is sturdy and has no losses or damage. No restorations overall. HISTORY: Milagros are Christian folk charms that are traditionally used for healing purposes and as votive offerings in Mexico. The southern Unit

I have had this fine and unusual old brooch for many years; it was purchased at the San Francisco Antiques Show at the Cow Palace. Brooch measures 2 1/2" tall. And is just under 2" wide. Piece is definitely more impressive than viewed in the photos. It's made of heavy cast metal(weight 1 ounce) and has 21 clear rhinestones in the cactus. Stones are original and intact. Suberb antique green bakelite sterling silver bracelet. Bakelite is one of the very first plastics ever made. Often used in old tribal jewelry. This bracelet has 6 rectangular links and 1 extra link for a total of 7, with bakelite striped with silver on each link, measuring 13.9 mm by 9.3 mm. The bakelite is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. This bracelet is 6 inches in length and 13/16 inch in width with the silver framing the bezel, the extra link measures 1 1/4 inch in length. Roy Dimitri Parsons, famed artist. Both Dimitri and his wife were avid travelers and loved to obtain old antiquities and art throughout their travels; sometimes by trading their art. We had someone very knowledgable in pre-HIspanic art look at this and he stated that there appeared to be some mineral deposits. But could not date this piece. Just saying that it is at least as old at the 1960's if not before and that with this level of artistry and detail, it's a nice acquisition. Antique TLAQUEPAQUE Pottery Pitcher Petatillo MEXICO Fantasia Vtg MEXICAN Lucano
Vintage Mexican Tlaquepaque Pitcher This is a fantastic large pitcher of Tlaquepaque Mexican pottery with a fanciful flora and fauna decoration. The background is filled with petatillo-style crosshatched lines and the Fantasia scene includes leaves. Flowers, birds and a wonderful squirrel. The decoration completely covers the outside of the ewer and is done with skill and attention to detail. This large jug is 12 7/8" high and about 8" across at its widest. Most likely from the 1920s, it does show some signs of age; a slightly metallic"bloom" on portions of the glaze, several glaze pops and flakes and a pattern of crazing. There is also a noticeable chip on the spout. I can't find a signature on this, but it looks alot like the work of Balbino Lucano, a skilled artist who set the standard for Tlaquepaque pottery decoration. ... moreMuch of the darkening and bloom you see in pictures could come away with a careful cleaning. It was quite dirty as found at a local estate sale. And I gave it just a light wash. 1910s 20s United Shoe Co Mexico Antique Vintage Clothing Sign Factory Scene NICE
Only one on Ebay and quite possibly the only one you will ever see! Very nice old sign. Constructed of aluminum. Measures approx 12" wide x 6" high. Retains the original hanger. I presume this sign was made in the late 1910's through 1920's judging by the trucks. Cars, and streetcar but I do not know the exact date of manufacture. Most definitely old and original. The sign is in nice condition for the age, but does have plenty of scratches, scrapes, dirt, dings, bends, etc. so please do not expect a mint condition sign, as this is not. I did not clean the sign at all, and it could use it. I'm not trying to degrade the item as it is nice for the age, just trying to provide an honest description.
