This is a large 1929 Railroad Map of Mexico. It measures 28 X 20 inches. It is quite detailed. Showing the topography, towns, transportation lines, and other landmarks as they existed in 1929. On its face it has a listing of the Railroads in existence at the time. See scan. A search of worldcat.org which lists all holdings in the worlds libraries. Museums, historical societies and even a few map dealers shows that no other copy of this atlas exists anywhere. We have searched other sites and come up with zero. This appears to have been the only copy that survived. Paper drives during World War II, took many library and reference works. This map is wax engraved and was issued as part of the Rand McNally Commercial Atlas. To be used by shippers and businesses to get their goods to customers and markets. These are 1931 maps of Mexico. They are from a scarce Cram's Atlas. The maps measure 11.25 X 15 inches. They are in near mint condition showing only minor handling. Buyer will get a printed out page size copy of the index page. This is superior to any"Certificate of Authenticity" which are normally printed out on the sellers own computer.
