Vintage Antique Mexico Ranger Buckle on Tooled Leather Belt "ART"
Vintage Antique Mexico Ranger Buckle. 2 Keepers and Tip on Tooled Leather Belt with"ART" tooled in center back. Looks like Silver with Gold and Copper inlays but I tried the acid test on the silver looking part and it didn't test that way. A drop of 18K didn't turn the sample pale blue. I'm new at this and don't want to misrepresent it. The back of the buckle has two words engraved on it. The second one is"Mexico" and I can't read the first one. I've included a closeup photo in case someone more familiar with markings can identify it. Buckle is 1 11/16" wide and 1 15/16" long. Section of Belt with buckle. Keepers and tip on it is 5/8" wide. Main portion of belt is 1 1/4" wide. It measures 47" from base of prong to tip. 42 1/2" from base of prong to farthest hole. Keepers ... moremeasure 1/2" X 3/4" Tip measures 5/8" x 7/8" I don't know the history of this belt. I found it with some other leather items in my parent's attic. No one named Art in the family. Done with a butter yellow base, with darker yellow, blue, green, rust, and dark brown details. Lightly glazed, with heavier glaze on the inside. Very charming, and very large! Overall. In very good condition, with only a few scuffs/paint loss here and there. Minor wear and aging, but no cracks. Has 2 chips; one by one of the handles, and a small chip on the underside. See photos. Hinged bangle, a tubular hollow style, with cut outs of what appear to be bulls and horses around it, the bull is in a stance that looks like bullfighting, they look like hierglyphic figures seen in cave drawings by primitive people, has an attached safety chain and opens with a little latch that works well, inside diameter is 2 3/8" and 1/2" wide. This is a lovely old bracelet that belonged to my mother, still in very nice condition, probably dates from mid century or before. My scale has gram weight that goes in 5 gram increments, this bracelet jumps between 15 and 20 grams. Miniature handmade in Mexico coffee set and dishes vintage to antique
a really nice miniature child's set from old Mexico. Wooden. And very intricate and delicate. Also has trim that I think is wood burned. Vintage to antique. The tray is 4" across and the coffee pot stands about 1 1/2" tall with a removable lid. The little cups are on saucers that are about 3/4" wide and the cups themselves are about 1/2" The candlesticks are 1 1/2" and the sugar creamer is about 3/4" The sugar creamer and the coffee pot have removable lids. And there are five tiny spoons, also carved from wood. A remarkable set and to have survived this long. They are all housed in a box that is collectible in itself. Antique Sterling Mexican Signed Malachite Earrings This pair of earrings are very unique in style more modern or retro. Probably from around 1940-60’s. I’ve been trying to figure out the maker and some of the initials I’m not making out very clearly. I’ll put down what I know. On the back of each earring is Aldvra or Alevro. Allvro not sure even if that is what the name is. Under that word is Sterling. Under sterling is TL-80? Mexico. The TL I believe stands for Taxco and L for the maker. The number is the registration of the maker. Each earring is 1” wide x 6/16” high not counting the clip part. The clip on is tight and not to slip off. The malachite stone measures 11/16” across. antique pair of iron spurs handmade in Mexico small woman's or youth sized
Up for your consideration is a fantastic pair of antique spurs. These are iron. Handmade in Mexico and absolutely beautiful. They have designs stamped into them and also a dark design on them. I suspect that the dark design is actually a thin inlay of silver because that was used to decorate really old spurs from Mexico. I do not want to take a chance on ruining their rustic look by polishing these up to see if there is silver under the dark patina. From the size of these, I'm guessing that they were intended for a smaller woman or a youth(but I never saw them worn by anyone) Before we brought these in as part of our decor, I had only ever remembered them hanging on a nail in an old shed. They are still a bit grungy looking but nowhere near as dirty as they were when we first brought them in. I thought that the rust added a little"je ... morene sas quoi" to their appearance. These comes from a smoke and pet free home. I am not a professional eBay vendor. ANTIQUE VINTAGE Pre COLUMBIAN MEXICO BRACELET STAMPED 900 CENTAVOS RARE 1942
This is a very nice unusual ethnic pre-Columbian design bracelet. It is marked 900 on the back of the clasp and also has a Columbian coin eagle stamp with a 0.900 mark. On the outside it has a Mayan or Pre- Columbian figures and a coin image which states“DIEZ CENTAVOS G.2500 LEY 0.900” on every other link as described in the photographs. On the inside every link is marked with a decorative coin pattern and on the other links it looks like the image of a 1942 Columbian coin impressed on it followed by a Columbia 2 ½ Cent Cevantos coin. The coin image says- DIEZ CENTAVOS G.2500 LEY 0.900 and is estimated based on research of the coin design and the B mint mark referring to the mint in Bogota to be dated as early as 1942. It is possible to wear this bracelet reversed. It is in excellent condition. Nicely weighted, and measures about 7 1/2" ... morelong x almost 1" wide.
