Antique Primitive Carved Wood Architectural Salvage Pediment 3 Misc. pieces

Three unique vintage architectural salvage wood pieces. All are in very good vintage condition. Will need some cleaning, I will leave that up to their new owner, I don't know enough about old wood to clean it for fear or damaging it. First there is a nice hand carved pediment that measures 18 in. across X 5 in. at the tallest place and 3/4 in. in depth. Next is a unique fan shaped piece with some carving on it, the measurements are 10 in. from point to top X 8 in. at it's widest points and 1 in. at it's deepest depth. Last is a very detail carved rosette, some chipping on 2 of the petals(see pictures) there is a hole drilled in the middle. Overall very nice pieces. Thank you for looking.

Up for auction is this wonderful architectural wood sign. I recently purchased this at an estate sale in Litchfield. CT. I was told it was very old, but I really do not know the age. I looked all over the internet and could not find anything like it. I think it may be the remnants of a sign for a company that sold miniature Roman Chariot models, Carro de Guerra Romano, but I am really just venturing a guess here. Really can't figure it out. From the holes, it looks like it was mounted on something else, or was hung from above. Layers upon layers of paint, from the original old to touch ups over the years. Some wear and wood chips with age. Great carving on the image while the name is quite primitive. Here for your consideration are two pieces of old molding from the outside of an old house. This was one piece that has been cut. The top crown pieces are all peg fitted and some come out easily. One piece measures 38" and the other is 25" long about 5" although it is not evenly made and some parts are split off(see pictures) the crowns on the top measure about 2.5x3" This is as found with weathered chipped up wood.

Antique 19c. Pediment Architectural Crown Walnut Wood Crest Salvage Cottage Chic

For auction. A 19th-century solid walnut pediment with deeply carved motif. It measures 19 1/2" across the base and about 9 1/2" wide(5 1/4" wide at center. The width is 3" across the top and 1" at the sides. This architectural salvage piece is covered with classical acanthus scrolls and a flower in the center. The wood finish does show lots of wear and there is an old repair on the leaf to the right of the flower, shown best in photo 3. STUNNING Antique 1800s Hand Carved Wood Pediment Double Koi Fish WOW- went to my favorite flea market this weekend and found some awesome treasures for you- I’ll be listing all week. So keep checking! Well. If there was ever a listing where I just wanted to say nothing, and let my photos say it all, this would be the one. But I'm guessing you might want at least a little more details: so here goes. This is probably one of the most drop-dead-gorgeous antique pediment pieces I have sold. It literally stopped me in my tracks. Now, I don't know if these came off of a piece of furniture, or an architectural piece, but it has a 1" diameter hole in the center that I'm showing in photo 5, that goes all the way through, and I'm assuming that has something to do with what it once was, or how it was mounted. The piece is hand carved ... moreinto the imat of two Koi fish facing away from each other. On either end, in front of the Kois' mouths are grapes and leaves also hand carved. It weighs 6 1/4 lbs, and it is 21 1/4" long, 5 1/4" highest and 3 5/8" deepest. The back is flat, not carved, and the underside allows the piece to stand securely, upright and straight, as in my photos. It is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. The patina is very very dark from age. I'm not 100% certain, but I THINK the wood may be oak- that's from looking at the backside, but it's dark and hard to see the grain, so please supersize and see what you think. The finish shows wear, and lots of alligatoring in certain spots, like I'm showing in photo 8. There's a couple of small nicks- on that I'm showing in photo 6- it's on a scale on the right fish and it looks newer as it's lighter. It's very shallow- at first, I thought it was just finish wear, but it's a shallow nick that measures 1/8" long. I'm showing another shallow chip that is on the underside of the piece in photo 8- on the end of the underside. It is either really old, or it may be original to the carving

ANTIQUE WALNUT VICTORIAN SPOON CARVED VINTAGE FRETWORK CORNICE FURNITURE PEDIMENT A lovely. Antique, Eastlake Victorian furniture pediment that appears to be made out of walnut. It has spoon carved decoration with has traces of gold still inside. There are spools that decorated each side and woodwork that looks like a crown. This lovely furniture pediment measures approximately 48" long x 6 1/4" high on each end and about 6 1/2" in the middle. There is about a 3" slope from the top flat part, down to the front of the spools. It appears that the blocks, in the middle next to the spools, were added recently. One of the points of the crown, in the middle, is missing and the scallop on one end is missing the top. A couple of other scallops have some damage to the wood that is not really that noticeable. There is a metal ring ... moreon each side for hanging, two screws in the back that were probably used to attach it to a piece of furniture, and the front has two nails in the wood, where someone must have hung something. Lovely Antique Late 1800s Hand Carved Wood Pediment Turned Wall Decor So. I went to the auction of a lifetime this past weekend. A storage barn of an antiques dealer that passed about 10 years ago. She specialized in early primitives and American folk art and boy-oh-boy you do not want to miss this week. I took photos of the items that I bought for one full day, and still am not finished– but decided to go ahead and list what I have– enjoy! This one is sooooo pretty. And if you don't want it for wall decor. It's as simple as removing the hanger that the dealer put on the back! It's an antique pediment with lovely hand carved detail. I don't know if it started life as an architectural piece, or a furniture piece, but it will be yours to decide. It measures 19 5/8" long top to bottom and is 8 1/4" at its widest- the ... morecenter. It is 1 7/8" deep there at the center, but measuring from the very back of the piece, to the farthest sticking out part of the piece(the top, which angles out) it measures 4" deep there. It weighs 1 3/4 lbs and is in excellent solid and sturdy condition structurally. The patina is dark and yummy! You can see rustic wear to the wood and finish all over- very minor- scratches, scrapes,teenie holes, nicks, dings, light spots, dark spots and finish wear down to the wood(see photos 4&7 where you can see lighter, small finish wear spots) You can see two nails at the top. And some holes at the back from when it was mounted originally. The back gives some indiaction of its old life too, as you can see that it's lighter at the bottom than at the top. The white spot at the back is an old dealer tag, it will come off. It's dustydustydusty and needs a good cleaning, I have not cleaned or messed with the as found patina in any way. ANTIQUE 1800's GOTHIC VICTORIAN ORNATE CARVED WOOD VINTAGE PEDIMENT CORNICE CRESTS A pair of very beautiful. 1800s, pediments that probably when on the back of chairs. They are made of solid wood and have openwork in the center with applied leaves on the sides. Each lovely crest measures approximately 14 1/2" across x 9 1/4" high(not including the dowels on the bottom) x 1 3/16" thick. The wood appears to have the original patina with some scratches to the surface finish. One of them(see photo) is missing the rosette in the middle and the wood is separating at the top and needs to be glued down(see photo) There must have been something else on the very top, because there is a dowel hole on the top of each one(see photo) Everything else looks great on these wonderful old pediments! They will certainly look wonderful being ... moreused or added to any collection! Being offered as is and with no reserve. High bidder to pay all shipping costs. Import duties. Here for your consideration is a nice old pediment piece. This has a slight curved bowed shape. So. I am not sure if it was off a chair or the top of a cabinet. It is a nice rich reddish brown wood with carved gold gilt raised scrolling design. It measures 14.5" wide and from the center to the top middle part it is 6" It has some worn wood as pictured, but a nice solid little piece.
