Here's a very elegant vanity chair to use while dressing or putting on makeup. It is gold-tone metal with a vinyl seat cushion. The seat measures 17-1/4" high and is 13" in diameter. Backrest measures 22" from floor. The seat has been recovered with new white vinyl that has a leather look to it. There are scuffs and scratches to the gold paint all over the chair. Arthur Umanoff's 1964 Grenada[sic] Collection for Boyuer Scott is quite possibly the most frequently mis-attributed of all of the Boyuer Scott and Shaver Howard collections. It's vague similarities to Salterini's 1951 Tempestini designed'Scherzo' or'Ribbon' collection coupled with a sum-total lack of available documentation on the Boyuer Scott production has provided ample fodder for error and misattribution even amongst some of the most reputable and scholarly dealers. DESCRIPTION: Poor thing! Original vintage Hugh Acton flat bar chrome wood slat bench. Originally I believe it may have been longer(48" 60" 72" It's now 47" The feet pad are missing or need replacing. The metal flat bar construction is not broken but needs polishing. As you can see. The wood is beyond repair. Great project for this rare version of Acton's classic design. DIMENSIONS: 47" long x 20.75" wide x 14" tall. Legs are 3.5" wide at top. CONDITION: As you can see. This needs a total redo. I polished the surface of two of the chrome legs with very fine steel wool and they quickly shined. Paint on metal. Wood is completely deteriorated and will need replacing. Need new feet pads. There are some small scratches on the legs and side areas. The legs have decorative grooves. A child( i assume) wrote the name Honey on the front, it is very faint and hard to see. See pictures. Vintage Taxidermy 4 Deer Hoof Leg Set Footstool Stool Ottoman Original 1950's
This is a vintage 1950's authentic vinyl upholstered footstool with taxidermy deer hoof legs. This stool/bench also has black vinyl fringe going around the perimeter. The stool measures 12 1/2" tall x 16 1/2" long x 11 1/2" wide. This does not count the width or length with the hooves pertruding outwards. The hooves each measure approximately 9 1/2" long with one hoof being a little shorter. The stool is unbalanced due to the shorter hoof so I put a small tin of mints under this leg to show the space difference. A wood spacer up underneath where the legs screw in should fix this. The hooves are in excellent condition. One hoof does have a small piece of fur on the inside bottom missing but this is unseen as it is discreet. The vinyl has some wear on the top with a few marks and some light discoloration. There are no ... moreho;es or tears. The stool is a fabulous piece from an era gone by. COLONIAL LIBERTY BANNER SOLID PINE WINDOW BENCH. SIGNED AND DATED This solid Eastern White Pine bench is painted with a picture of a Liberty Banner from the early 1800's. It measures 28 inches long. About 20 inches high and 13 inches wide. You can contact me if you want a custom made one of differnet dimensions Please take your time and read the following so you understand what you are buying. All my benches are designed by me and are unique. Even ones of similar wood have many variations based on construction techniques I use, and the natural characteristics found in the particular wood I select for the bench. Any carved or painted bench such as the Liberty Banner Bench is also personally carved and painted by me. I work alone with just a few power tools, all work is done by me, that is why I sign and date them. This solid eastern pine ... morebench design is a blend of colonial with the traditional keyhole cutout on the legs. The manner in the the center brace is designed it gives the bench a more open look. Plus highlights the neat slope of the legs. All the peg holes adorned with a daisy flower petal pattern. There are no plans for these. I just start with whatever unique wood I can find locally and go from there, often varying design, length, width, and height to bring about a highly unique bench, all are basically Early American style. This bench is assembled with the minimum use of nails to hold in place while pegs and glue take hold. There are no metal braces. Brackets, no staples, nothing but strong oak pegs and high quality waterproof glue. These are all hand assembled. And then stressed with wear areas, worm holes, gouges, markings which give them their antique look and character. They are then stained in a variety of shades to match the type and grain of the wood. Finally they are finished with multiple coats of a high quality shellac, each coat hand rubbed to reduce gloss, then multiple coats of high quality furniture wax is used to bring out the sheen in the wood. There are a few scratches, here and there. On the edge of the seats. And a bit of wear on the poles where you rest your feet. But this is not easy to see. Because it is on the underside of the pole.
