I am selling my vintage credenza. The credenza was built by United Furniture Corporation I am guessing in the early 1960's. The model number is 62-140 LJ44. I believe the 62 stands for the year it was produced and the person I purchased it from stated that the credenza came with the home that his mother had purchased in the early 60's. The dimensions of the credenza are 74"L x 20"D x 28 1/2"H and the credenza is heavy. My guess around 150 to 200 pounds. The brass pulls are well crafted as is the credenza itself which is in great condition with minimal vintage ware. The piece just needs to be cleaned up and polished. On Jan-20-13 at 17:27:30 PST. Offered for sale is a sideboard made by Maitland Smith. Marked with a brass plate on the inside of the middle large drawer as well as on the back. Flame mahogany veneer. Banding veneer and Swags and circles of flowers made of inlaid wood. The middle top drawer on the deck has an inlaid picture of a musical intruments with flowers. Lions head drawer pulls. The sideboard has two large bottle drawers on either side and one large wide center drawer. There is a deck on the back of the piece. With 5 smaller drawers. The top of the piece. On the central portion and the deck is inlaid with tooled and gold leafed leather. Just picked this up from someone that is downsizing and had to let it go. It is only about 5 years old. Offered for sale is a Stunning Baker Furniture Hepplewhite Inlaid Mahogany Demilune Sideboard/Server/Buffet. This bowfront sideboard features two deep drawers and four curved doors with storage cabinets. All with beautiful brass carved pulls. The top drawer has the Baker nameplate and a green silverware liner and the drawer below is a tambour-style with an arched surround. The mahogany features a gorgeous inlaid cross-banded border with inlaid stringing all supported on six tapered legs with spade feet. The sideboard measures 66" wide x 37" high x 27.5" deep. I believe this sideboard is 20-25 years old but I am not sure of the exact age. It may be older. Overall it is in excellent condition with the following exceptions: there are a few light scuffs/scratches on the top(see pic#11) and the back left leg has a hairline crack ... morethat extends from the foot upwards approximately 3-4 inches(see pic#12) This crack does not appear to affect the sturdiness of the piece. I have discounted the price to reflect this issue. Overall, as is the case with all Baker mahogany furniture, this sideboard is a stunning piece of furniture that is a beauty to behold.
