Early Period Antique HECHO Masks Terra Cotta Clay Sculpture Metal Display Stand

Presented here for your consideration is this very fine early period Sculptural Decorative Arts MASKS with Display Stand. Featured in what looks to be Terra Cotta or Clay Sculptural Masks which each shows a slot in the back where they fit into a metal Stand that holds Six of these Masks. The Metal Stand looks old and a little rust patina is shown on the finish. Each Mask measures approximately 7" high by 3" wide while the Metal Base Stand measures 19 1/2" long by 2 1/2" wide. The tallest Mask with Base stands 10 1/2" high as the Stand holders varies in heighth. The Masks appear to be floating. Please note that my flash makes the finish to the Masks appear lime green and they are not. They are a deeper green with ... morea verde patina from the aging process. Some are marked"HECHO N MEXICO" on the back. These Masks are each done by hand and therefore there are variances to them. A nice aged patina adorns each Mask and also the Metal Stand. Exquisite Falcon/Eagle Sculpture, Art Nouveau, Molded Terra Cotta
This amazing molded terra cotta sculpture of an falcon or eagle is breathtaking in its subtle beauty and gracefulness. The photographs cannot describe the wonderful colors of the glaze(some places vibrant. Some places subdued) and the beauty of the classic pose. Done in a style and form reminiscent of the ceramic animals of Galle, this unsigned antique piece was created by a true master's hand. Every detail is simply exquisite. There are no chips or breaks. There are two very small fractures in the glaze only at the tip of one wing and the tail. But they are superficial, do not extend into the ceramic, and can only be seen under a bright flashlight. This beautiful bird was probably created sometime between the turn of the twentieth century and the 1920's. Rare Chinese Imperial Warrior 8" Terra cotta Artist Signed Soldier Sculpture Qin
Up for auction is an unusual terra cotta warrior. The figure stands 8 inch tall. 2.5 inch wide and 2 inch front to back. The base measures 1.5 inch square. The front of the base is signed with 4 character marks. The figure has a somewhat natural fading to its body color. His frontside below the shoulder around to the right side of his back has a lighter/ grayish hue. If you smell the figure he has a faint fireplace/ cinder/ ash smell to him. No detection of any breaks, cracks or repairs. I am not sure of the exact age of the figure but it came from a fine estate where I was told it had been for at least 30-40 years. This is a very high quality large antique hand sculpted black terra-cotta pottery material male lion sculpture. It is a verity large sculpture. Made from solid terra-cotta, and is extremely heavy. This is an exquisite. 100% authentic, Tong(Tang) Dynasty straw-glazed. Terra-cotta Horse and Rider, dating to between 618-906 AD. This beautiful sculpture is painted in lovely earthy tones of beige, tans, and greens with the Riders face and head using dark browns, blacks, red and a pinkish hue. The colors are original and intact with a lustrous glaze over the entire piece with the exception of the head and a small portion of the base. The"General" as I like to respectfully call him is 12.75 inches high as he proudly sits atop his war horse which is nearly 12 inches long. These figures. Both original and intact, sit stoically upon a sturdy Terra-cotta base. This wonderful sculpture is aesthetically pleasing and quite realistic as a nod to the artist's strong ability to realistically capture his subjects. Small terra cotta ceramic wall sculpture of twin cherubs
Small wall sculpture of twin cherubs that may be hung from a loop embedded between the cherub's heads or from the opening in the back. Piece measures about 4 1/2" from wingtip to wingtip. About 3" tall, projects about 1 1/2" from wall and weighs about 3.4 ounces. One small flaw is noted in picture 3, a small chip below the right cherub's face on the lower wing. No cracks or other problems. Nice matte texture. Recommended for indoor use only.
