$35.00 Shipping Location: Waterford, United States Tonight5's Auction is for an Antique Vintage Wrought Iron 50 inch Sign Hanging Bracket that was made I believe by a welder either for himself or for ... moresomebody that had hired him to make one for them. I had a wooden store sign made back around 1974 and needed a bracket for it and got the bracket from the sign maker who happened to have this one. For some reason. I don't remember, I ended up using some other bracket and I kept this one figuring that someday I would find a use for it, but it never happened. I've always kept it under cover and I came across it the other day getting some wood out of my storage building which is attached to my shop. It's about 49 to 50 inches long and on the higher end which attaches to a building or whatever you're going to attach it to it's about 22 1\2 inches high. The 2 swivel bolts where the sign is attached are about 28 inches from center to center. The 28 inches doesn't restrict that the sign has to line up exactly on 28 inches, just letting you know this particular distance. The gray finish on it right now is metal primer. The 2 bolts where the original sign was attached had a red& white metal sign hanging from at one particular point in time, because when they took it off, they cut it off and there is a piece of thin metal on both bolts that has red& white on it, probably a nice Esso or Mobil sign etc. that would be worth quite a bit these days. The sign was well made being welded and bolted both at critical points and everything is still nice and tight as the day it was made. It most likely was made back in the 1940's- 50's for a gas sign when so many of the brands were expanding their stations. ANTIQUE ARCHITECTURAL CAST WROUGHT IRON DECORATIVE GARDEN HOME
This very ornamental cast/wrought iron antique architectural piece is at least 100 years old. It came from grandparents home and they are passed many years ago. This is heavy- at least 8 pounds- but it is still very sturdy- some rusting but nothing that a metal brush won't take care of. Lot 3 Antique Wrought Iron Towel Rods Bars Plant Hangers Garden Vintage Decor
Really unique antique wrought iron bars for mounting on the wall. There are holes in the appropriate places. Could be used as towel bars or pot racks if used with hooks in the kitchen. I was going to be using them outside in the garden as planter hangers but alas I am selling a lot of my treasures. The two larger ones are the same size and measure 25 inches long by 8 inches high by 3 1/4 in. Deep. Smaller one measures the same but shorter in length at 21 in. Kirtland Mormon Temple cemetery Original Wrought Iron Fence Ohio LDS 1800s
This story is evolving as I learn more. 8/10/14. Will someone PLEASE HELP ME FIND AN OLD PICTURE OF THIS ORIGINAL WROUGHT IRON KIRTLAND MORMON CEMETERY FENCE. This fence was replaced shortly after WW II but this was the original fence from the 1800s. The fence I am selling is a 6 foot section of the original Mormon Temple Cemetery fence from the 1800s. I think it is priceless and has historical significance. This fence stood between the Kirtland Mormon Temple and Joseph Smith's home in Kirtland at the cemetery. I received this 6 foot section of fence from 92 year old Bill of Kirtland. Ohio area. I believe this is an antebellum 6 foot piece of Hand wrought iron history from the early Ohio Mormon history period. Bill got this fence from the estate of Vernon McFarland whose family owned a wrought iron ironware business in the 1800s and 1900s. ... moreI have taken a picture of the old sign from the O.S. McFarland family business that used to reside in the red building on the hill leading up to the Temple on the opposite side of route 306. According to Bill the fence was replaced by a newer fence installed by McFarland soon after WWII. McFarland kept this section of the original hand wrought iron fence in storage. Bill said that the fence had to be replaced because cars kept running into the fence damaging the original fence. I could imagine Ford Model T's hitting the fence. Vernon McFarland stored this fence in his red barn building for over a half of a century or more before passing away about 5 years ago. Perhaps someone has an old photograph of this fence design before it was replaced. It was replaced sometime during the 1900s. I believe this fence has great historical value to the LDS or Mormon or Reorganized or"Community of Christ" or Reformed church members. The"Temple Hill Forge" was established in 1865 by the McFarland family. They made Ornamental and Colonial Ironware. They were given the job to replace the original fence with the one that is currently in place. I would appreciate anyone

Two Antique Style Wrought Iron WINDOW GATES Guards - Architectural Salvage
Black wrought iron antique Victorian style window guards or gates You are invited to bid on two lovely antique style iron window gates or guards. Please note that these are two of the same gates. They both swing from the left side. They could be used as a pair by removing the flower medallion and replacing it on the outside of the gate. I believe welding would be necessary to do that. They are in very good condition. I don't believe they have been used. I did notice that one gate has two minor welds which are lose but nothing in danger of falling apart. Buyers can use these for garden art. Wall art, headboards, pot racks, and of course, window gates. EACH ONE MEASURES: 24" Wide 22" height of ironwork 25" High outside post. Antique Wrought Iron Gargoyles Sold as a Set (2)
These two gargoyles were off an old building in the City of Ft. Lauderdale Florida(or so we're told) They were obtained in a sale located in Ft Lauderdale Florida. They are both made of wrought iron and are completely intact. You can see from photos that they are old and have all the original patina. Some surface rust but only on surface. The worst area is detailed in photos. They measure 31.5 inches tall and 19 inches wide. They weigh 90 lbs each. They will be sold only as a set. Idea for front entrances for home or business to guard against bad spirits or so the story goes. Items can be shipped in individual boxes using UPS ground as a less expensive alternative to shipping as freight. Each box would then weigh approximately 95 lbs. Exceptional pair of c. 1920 hand wrought iron gates with mounting hardware. These gates were installed in the interior of a house and used between a dining room and sitting room. These measure approximately 48' wide including mounting hardware and 50" tall at the center. O ffered as found and uncleaned. Good original finish. Except some paint slop visible along edges of mounting hardware and overspray. The piece of swinging stock that acts as the catch is broken off of the gate pictured on the right. See last image. ANTIQUE WROUGHT IRON LOOP DESIGN FENCE
2 gates. 3 posts and ALMOST 40 feet of attractive wrought iron fence in 6 sections. The gates match each other with a flower ornamentation at the top side of each row of 9 points. Gates stand 40" high at highest center peak and 36" wide with 3" seperations between the fence posts. The design is a loop with point and is very attractive and inviting to look at. There are two 7 ft sections, and two 8 foot sections, one 4 foot section and one section just shy of 6 feet at 68" The 3 posts stand 44" high with a ball/bulb design top. 2 posts have similiar double bolt bottoms, the other only one sided. When this fence was removed in the 70's it was stored in a garage. It is very heavy and would require pick up in our garage location in Northeast Pennsylvania.

Up for auction is a great item from a church possibly as an entrance to the podium or pulpit area. It is cast iron and weighs lots. It is 12' 6 1/2" long and approximately 2' 1-1/4" tall. There are two pieces of long railings and two pieces of gate. There are three crosses spaced out across the 12' sections. The gates measure 23 1/2" X 24 1/4" plus the flanges and are empty of ornamentation in the center. They may have had something inserted in them at one time or another. The two piece gate hooks into the end of the railing panel. The top is recessed. Making it great for an ornate or larger hand rail on the top. Vintage Ornate ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE PIECE Lot Wrought Cast Iron Grate Register
Two fabulous antique architectural pieces. I believe they were grates/registers for the home. So decorative and just the right size! The arched piece measures 13.75 inches tall and 10.25 inches wide at the base. The rectangular piece measures 11.5 inches tall and 9.5 inches wide. You can display them anywhere: hang them on a wall. Rest them on a shelf, etc. They have just enough wear to give them character- no rot. Just some light surface rust. The arched grate is missing a small piece at the bottom left corner and the rectangular grate is has a small notch on one side. Please look at my many photos and e-mail me if you have any questions. This an amazing set of gates. I believe pre 1550. Everything was made by a Blacksmith. This is a one of a kind Period Set. It would be great for an entry way or wine cellar. There is writing on one of the rails that appears to be latin, written in gold. There is also a makers mark, pic is included. Small square with interlocking lines. The person i purchased them from said they where purchased a Park Bernett Auction in the 1970's. Said to have come out of the William Randolph Hearst Collection. I have no proof, said to have come out of a 13th century french convent. The writing in gold could be a reminder to the nuns to stay virgins. The set consists of 11 pies that piece together.
