From what I could find ... moreout its a Chinese Opium Scale. It has a bone handle for holding the scale, a brass weight which has chinese writing on one side and some kind of scroll work on the other. The case is made from wood which looks like rosewood. There are some brass accents as well. The wood case is approx 9 3/4 inches long. I took alot of photos showing these items mentioned. As noted Its an estate find so I don't know alot about it.
