Unique Antique Chamber Thunder Piss Slop Handle Pot Glazed Pottery Lime Green
This fabulous pot belonged to my great grandmother. It was found at my grandmother's home. I don't know the true age. I don't know anything about this kind of pot so I don't know the maker. I will try and describe it to the best of what I see: The color is out-standing. It is a great lime green color. That is very unusual. It has so much character. It has bumps made in the pottery mainly seen on the inside bottom. There is crazing from it's age. There is glazing that is not perfect in some areas. You will notice it has different coloring from a green into a redish brown glazing. In some areas it has dents in the pottery but that is in the making because it has glaze over it. In some areas there are dings and little nicks from use. I have tried to describe all of the flaws. Still a great pot. It has a scallop design around ... morethe under lip on the outside of pot. There is one handle. I looked at the bottom real close and there is an area that may have a number or name but I really don't know. It is not clear at all. It has a brownish line on one side that is not a crack because it is covered with glaze. It is more on the primative style in the making. Don't expect this pot to look pristine or new. It is very old and rugged. It is very different. You will fall in love with it! The size is: Rim 8" Width: 9.5" With handle 10.5" Height: 5.25" This piece is being sold in a pre-owned condition. I have not cleaned it. I will leave that to the new owner. Please ask all questions and look at photos before bidding. Antique Thai Sawankhalok green glazed jarlet shipwreck place
This early Thai Sawankhalok jarlet has ring handles and incised stripe decoration. It is 3 ¼ inches high. This was a shipwreck piece as can be seen from the growth on the side and the bottom. This would have originally been celadon in color and the salt water has deteriorated the glaze. This piece dates to the 14 th to 16 th centuries. And I have not seen another one like this. Unusually with such monochrome glazed examples they are very plain in form and design, unlike this piece. I was actually told the Vase is an earlier Chinese Kangxi period piece, but to be safe I am selling it as 19th century. I am sure it is in fact is from the Kangxi reign is would be a very desirable find, and worth a very substantial amount, so it is well worth looking into. The Vase has a beautiful and consistent apple green crackle glaze throughout, along with a white gu-type crackle glaze to the interior and base. The Vase also has figural boy scenes to either side within pomegranate panels, and great elephant side handles with black enamel eyes. The Vase shows some light wear and scratched throughout the glaze, but overall the vase is in fine original condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. This is a VERY RARE Palestine Israel green glazed box. Made by Pal Ceramic in the 40's. With a paper sticker of custom tax called" Luxury Tax" that was acustomed in the early 50's. About 6.25" x 5.25" 4.4" tall. 5.2" tall including the handle, in Art Deco style. The box is not signed but it is very clear Palceramic made, Pal Ceramic was a Haifa pottery manufacturer in the 40's and 50's and their items are very saought after by worldwide 20th century art collectors. A wonderful Arts& Crafts pottery pitcher and 2 cups. Incredible blue/green matte glaze. MINT as far as damage; No chips. No hairline cracks, no repairs. I must point out there is some dirt/dust or grime in the bottom of the cups and pitcher and inside sides of pitcher. Some crazing in the glaze. Difficult to photograph the wonderful color of these. The white pottery underneath appears to be porcelain. These are thrown. No markings. The glaze is a mottled blue/green with some drips and one side of the pitcher has a feathered effect due to the glaze. These came out a fine portland. Oregon estate of Arts& Crafts pottery. I was assured they are C1910-1920 and were displayed by the great-grandfather of the person selling them, for years in his hutch and then handed them down in the family, we were told they were from England. I thought ... morethey were new when first seen because of bright colors and condition but upon further inspection of the build up of dirt/grime in the bottoms and inside side of pitcher I feel this these are old but in just wonderful/loved condition. I have not attempted to clean/wash these. I would be doubtful if ever used. They are just beautiful. Maker unknown. Please see all photos. Antique Turkestan Glazed Terracotta Plate Green Floral 19th Century An antique Turkestan polychrome glazed terracotta small plate decorated with a green floral design. The edge of the plate is detailed with a superb pie-crest pattern. Such pieces would have formed part of a home's traditional Turkestan tableware; stylistic influence from the Orient. Notably China are very obvious in some pieces and this, as early as the 9th century. Shaped on a very basic potter's wheel. The wares are then glazed and fired in a traditional kiln. The firing is done on a tripod and as a result three visible marks where the glaze is absent are visible at the center of the plate. Not signed but defiitely of Chinese origin. The early Jare was made of earthenware and has a shiny green glaze. It probably originally had a flat cork in the top. It has rasied decoration in the pottery that is flowers, leaves and I think a standing foo dog( hard to tell for sure) The glaze does not go completely down the jar. This Fulper bowl measures about 6 1/4 inches wide and about 2 inches tall. The outside is glazed in a dark brown to mustard yellow and the interior has a beautiful bright green mixed with yellows and browns on the interior walls. The bowl is marked FULPER on the base. Overall. The bowl looks lovely though it has a tight crack on one side see photos 6,7& 8. Rumrill by Red Wing Ball Glazed Water Jug George Rumrill design created in the early 1930's. Manufactured by Red Wing Pottery of Minnesota. I have seen this piece called a ball jug and a cannonball water jug. Either way. It is a gorgeous green glaze inside and out, which makes this an unique piece. This is one of the most collectible of George Rumrill's designs created in the early 1930's and manufactured by Red Wing Pottery of Minnesota. It is the green ball jug water with cork stopper. It measures 6 1/2 inches across the belly and about 8 inches from spout to handle. Jug is in good condition with no chips or nicks. Antique Majolica Green Glazed Cathedral Window Art Pottery #61 Umbrella Stand
Up for auction is this fantastic umbrella stand. It is made of a pottery with a majolica green glaze on top. The only marking is the number 61 on the bottom. I am not sure it was made by Weller. Roseville, McCoy or who. The piece is done in a greens and has a cathedral window design in the middle. The umbrella stand measures 23" tall and is about 10" in diameter. It is in great condition with the only damage that I can see being a small chip on the inside top of the stand(see picture) This is a gorgeous piece that should not be overlooked. These large pieces do not come to market that often and when they do they are usually pretty damaged. Roseville Pottery Great Large White Rose Art Deco Pink Green Glazed Vase NICE
This is a beautiful art deco or arts and crafts pink and green glazed Roseville White Rose pottery vase or very long abstract shaped(with very sharp corners and handles) bowl. It measures about 4 and 3/4" 5" in tallest spots(the sharp corners of the upper flowers on edge) x approx. 15 and 1/2" long from the sharp handle edge to edge x approx. 8" widest. It is a beautiful shaped pottery vase one of Roseville's finest. The flowers on this piece are just beautiful as are the leaves/and vines. The pink and green glazing is just beautiful too. The overall condition for its age is very fine with no chips. Cracks, hairlines or repairs. For accuracy sake, there is some glaze crazing which is common for these older Roseville pieces. This Haeger bowl is beautifully glazed entirely in different shades of green and black speckles. Measures 8 1/4" in diameter x 3 1/4" high and in Good condition.
