There is a key to the colour coding. And temperatures are given in both Fahrenheit and Centigrade. There has been a cut to the side of the fold(it was a cut not a tear as the edges are very precise) It is about 6.5 cm or 2½ inches in length and has been repaired with linen on the reverse- I have tried to show it in a detailed second scan, but it is very hard to see, even on close inspection, it runs through the letter H of Geographical. It measures 490 x 400mm(19.25 x 15.5" approx. plus borders(not shown on scan. As it won‘t fit even under an A3 scanner! It has a blank reverse(It originally would have been in an Atlas. Edge mounted so as to avoid damage to the map, and not stapled) This Map is an ideal size for mounting(or matting) and framing.
