3 WONDERFUL Antique HAND CRAFTED IRON Drawer Pulls!~Gothic~ARTISTIC~OOAK~REMODEL
These almost look like they should be in a Medieval castle! These are 3. Antique& artisan made iron"pulls" for drawers, furniture, or whatever you'd care to use them on. They are hand made so they are NOT symmetrical-each is just a bit different from the others. They are made of iron; looking closely, you can see the tooling& cutting marks. The square parts(are supposed to) measure 1 1/2" square though at least 1 doesn't. When installed, the square will be turned to look like a diamond shape and the triangle part will"hang down" from 3 3/4" to 4"again, they are not symmetrical! Also, the thickness varies a bit; the triangles are approx. 1/2" thick and the squares are 1/4" thick; they each have their nut for the backside. Up for consideration is an Antique set of 4 Industrial 3 Wheel Swivel Casters Condition- Good Used Condition. No broken or missing pieces. Casters all rotate freely and are not bent. Surface rust present. Tape residue present on the wheels and needs to be cleaned. Description- Very nice set of 3 wheel swivel casters used to move heavy objects such as stoves. Pianos and furniture. Individually casters weigh just under 2 lbs and measure 6 inches across from each point of the wheel. These are all a matching set and all are marked M.B. Schenck Co, Meriden Conn, although some marks are more visible than others due to wear and age. Not sure how long this company was in business. This listing is for a set of 4 Antique Feltoid Furniture Casters. Pat. Date Dec 29 1908. From my research. The Feltoid casters were introduced in the early 1900's. The wheel coverings were made of highly compressed felt as opposed to the previous metal casters. The stems, bracket, and wheels are made of brass. They have expected wear and patina from use and age. All 4 wheels roll well and the stems are straight. The brackets are not bent/crushed as is often the case with old casters. All have some surface rust(metal integrity not compromised) on them(that can probably be cleaned off totally) and all have some leftover paint on them, but ALL hinges are operational and have full metal integrity. The screw bases of the hinges have the matching ribbed lines of the pulls, but the ribs are not colored in at all Half Circle pulls- 4 pulls. But the base was in great shape and I thought that the carved wood portions held plenty of potential for a decorator or someone who enjoys creating new items These are very heavy and bulky carved mahogany bases They were painted a wretched brownish gold color. Antique carved Oak Pediment Header Back Splash Crown Architectural Salvage
This piece came off a dresser or cabinet. I can't remember which. There is a groove across the back where something fit onto it and there are screw holes as well. It was refinished at some point with what looks like an oil based clear finish under which I see what looks like swirl marks from an orbital sander. They're not deep. So the whole front could be sanded and re-finished which is what I would do if I had a good place for this in my house. It measures: 19.5" long x 2.25" tall(in the center) 3.5" on the ends x 7/8" thick(not counting the medallions) It's 1" thick with the medallions. 8 Large Early Bennington Empire Drawer Pulls/ Knobs ~Primitive 1830~ Brown Swirl
These are the best examples. By far, of Bennington Pottery drawer pulls I have ever seen. They are excellent in size, color, gloss, and condition. The old dresser they came from was circa 1770-1830. There is no reason to believe they were not original to the piece. The condition is excellent having NO CRACKS or Chips! There are only the tiniest of fleabites on the backside on two knobs where they meet the furniture, virtually undetectable. The rest are perfect! There is also a little old varnish on them from someone varnishing the dresser without removing the knobs long ago. It washed off the surface with warm water and dish soap and a scrubby pad but it still remains on the back sides here and there. A little more scrubbing and it will be gone. The flash in the photos gives the appearance of flaws but they are not chipped or cracked at all. ... moreThese have the most prominent swirls in the clay, the color is glorious! They measure 2.25 inches wide each. Whatever piece of furniture or cabinetry these are installed on, it will get bumped up TEN NOTCHES! These are huge and glossy; colorful and brilliant and yet, primitive and modest all at the same time. Technically they are primitive in style and date to the early 1800. This flour sifter unit is in very nice condition and functions great. I removed it from a Sellers Hoosier cabinet. It was mounted in the upper unit inside the leftmost door. It has the original mounting hardware which allows the sifter to swing down. And out, to use it. The original cap for the outlet is also present as is the lid. The bottom cap is usually missing on these sifters as they could easily be misplaced or lost. The paint is yellowed and there are some spots of rust but it is mostly clean and just needs to be cleaned up. The inside looks rust free. These hinges have a stop incorporated into the knuckle to limit the opening of the center door to about 90°. These hinges measure about 2” by 1 ½” when opened. They are plated steel.
