Industrial Ornate Cast Iron Table Leg Set - Vintage
This a nice pair of vintage cast iron furniture legs purchased about 10-12 years ago from a salvage yard in the Berkeley/Oakland area in CA. The story is that they were a matched pair with marble tops. But the marble was gone when these were purchased. They are in very good condition, and would make a nice set of legs for new marble tops. Age and manufacturer are not available, as there are no cast-in markings. The table legs are 28-1/2" high. Each leg is 15" wide at the top and bottom. The legs are 27-1/2" apart. And are separated by a middle trussed spacer, which have two threaded studs on each end. The legs are held together by two nuts on each side, which hold the middle trussed spacer. These legs can be used to make either one large table, or two smaller matching tables. One stud broke off. And was replaced by drilling ... moreinto the end, and potting a threaded 5/16-18 threaded rod with epoxy into the drilled hole(see picture) Also please note that some of the threaded studs are bent, but are functional(see pictures) The legs weigh 21 pounds each. For a total of 42 pounds. Great for repurposing! Measurements are: 4 3/4"long x 1 7/8" across at widest and 1 1/8" at narrowest. We try very hard to describe our items as honestly and as accurately as possible. This is a set of four fixed Vintage Steel Industrial Wheels. They came off a steel mapcase. The wheels are used. There is rust corrosion and wear on the wheels. The Wheels measure 2 inches in diameter and 7/8 inches in width. The mounting base measures 2 5/8 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Total height is 2 1/2 inches. It's white porcelain enamel. With black trim around the edges- very attractive look. Measures 24 inches wide by 20 inches in depth. About 1 inch in thickness. Very good to excellent overall surface condition. Only minor scratches and a couple nicks typical from years of usage which can be seen in the pictures. This top was made by TEPCO in 1947 and is marked on the underside 9-47. Wooden mounts on the backside are in great solid condition- no rotten wood. RARE Antique Cast Iron Machine Age Industrial Adjustable Mini Table Base Legs
Here we have a rare pair of antique Machine Age industrial table legs by the Chandler company. I have never seen a pair like these. They are smaller and skinnier then the legs you will find normally making them perfect for a coffee table or a side table. These legs are adjustable up to about 17 1/2 inches tall and as low as about 12 3/4 inches tall. When measuring the feet of these legs from toe to toe these legs are about 8 3/4 inches wide.
