The drawers lock into place and are lined, wood on the outside. The top drawer has a key lock(not included) When you pull out the drawer, there is a leaver that you turn which unlocks the other drawers. The wardrobe side includes the hangers shown(5) and the top opens to ease in getting the hangers out. the metal slats for the hangers to slide out as well, however the right one is hard to push. Has a fabric cloth to cover the clothes from the drawers. This is a large heavy truck, but in pretty good shape for it's age and the number of trips it has taken over the years. The top(picture 6) shows the rip in the fabric. Has two tags on it. First is the Hartman Trunk co, Racine, WI. The other is on the corner and says Wasseman's, Grand Rapids, MI. That means this trunk went from the United States to Germany, then to Scotland and back to the United States. Measures 40" tall, 22" wide and 21 1/2" deep. Shipping is quoted with UPS. The information below gives you information about the company and vintage era about this ... morecedar chest. Cedar Chest by Ed. Roos Co. The Ed. Roos Co. manufactured quality cedar chests from about 1916 to 1951. Most of those years they were located in Forest Park. IL. They were very successful for a time and made a large quantity of cedar chests. Because of that they are not particularly scarce. They are, however, of very good quality and were manufactured in quite a few styles. The style and condition are the determining factors in value. The Art Deco"waterfall" style. It is. However, in better condition and would be worth about $200-$250. The"Roos Manufacturing Co. of Chicago was established in 1871 by Edward Roos(born in Germany in December 1848) Died in 1906. He had several children including Otto(born 1877) and Edward(born 1880) Otto took over the Roos Manufacturing Company when his father died in 1906. They did manufacture cedar chests, but it is unclear when they started. The business began making curtain rods and later wooden boxes. They used a rooster in several variations in some of their logos. The"Ed Roos Company of Forest Park" started in Chicago as the Roos Cedar Chest Company in 1916. And also manufactured cedar chests, but it is a different company. They used a tree(presumably a cedar tree) in a circle as their logo. There are also other logos without the tree, and one with a heart for their"Sweetheart" chests. They also used a variety of paper and cardboard labels. It was started by Otto's brother. Edward. The company moved to Forest Park, IL in 1918 and changed its name to the Ed Roos Company of Forest Park In the 1920 federal census. Otto Roos is listed as President of a wooden wares business. So it is clear that the original Roos Manufacturing Company was still at work in 1920, after Ed Roos opened up shop in 1918 in Forest Park. I have found no information yet that says whether the original company

What's so cool about this ... morewardrobe trunk is that it has features that so many of the other wardrobes you see don't have or they're missing! Also. It was restored approximately 20 years ago and is still in good condition. You may want to repaint or reline the trunk to make it your own, but you don't have to worry about a bunch of repairs because they were already done. For example, the metal trim was not brass and so it was painted. It could easily be repainted to suit your needs. As for the unique, original features, the trunk includes: a wooden ironing board, metal bracket for iron, a pull out holder for the ironing board, 6 wooden hangers- one of which holds a cloth laundry bag, a removeable wooden box(holds shoes.lap desk? and 4 drawers- among other features. It's missing the outside lock and original leather handle(handle was replaced with a strong leather buckled handle) The key to the inside lock, the narrow flat bar that slides in front of the drawers, and some material behind the drawers. Some of the material is faded. The hinges and drawer pulls are secure and in functional condition except one outside latch(this doesn't prevent the trunk from closing tightly. The metal rods that hold the hangers extend out to hold the ironing board and are easy to slide in/out. All the drawers are lined with material and are in good/clean condition. The top drawer is divided into three compartments and is in good condition. The two middle drawers are in good condition too. The bottom drawer is deep and has a shallow pull out tray which exposes a cool feature. The feature is a sphere shaped cloth form that straps to the side of the drawer with leather. The original leather is still in place and functional. But somewhat brittle. My guess is that a hat could be pinned to the form to keep it safe for travel. Pity the people who had to move these monsters around, most are heavy even when empty! Wardrobe trunks have become more and more popular just in the last few years. Most of them were made in the 1920s and 1930s with some going back nearer the turn of the century. Note how the upper part of the left half of the one above opens up to allow better access to the hangers. The two chrome rods in the same area telescope out to give the hangers more room when the trunk is open. Aren't you just drawn to these old trunks?To me. They represent a much simpler time in this country. It's that emotional connection that makes them so appealing to collectors, and will only increase the value of the piece in time. There are not many of these trunks left. The odds of anyone having the same exact one are slim. note: We have several other wardrobe trunks available but not yet listed. I have done my best to describe this piece. It is very old and will contain the usual wear marks of typical everyday use. Scratches. Bumps& nicks visible. It has ... morea very pretty pressed tin design mixed in with the wooden strips. It really makes a very pretty display piece and has kind of a modern industrial look about it due to the pressed tin. It would look great in a warehouse loft apartment. It is in display condition but has issues as a useable trunk. Both of the old leather side handles are missing. The large front center hinge lock works fine but I do not have a key for this trunk and don't know if the lock works. Both of the side front locks have issues but display well. There are no interior drawers. The interior shows it's age but would be great for storage. It measures as follows. It is 28 inches wide, 17 inches deep and 19 inches tall. For sale is this Gorgeous Vintage Wooden Trunk Covered in a Metal Outer Shell. The outer shell is painted black. The trunk body is in very good condition. The bottom is not rusted and all of the wooden parts of the bottom are attached. There are only a few notable cosmetic issues. The paper on the inside of the trunk has some damage to it(there is staining and some tears) It is also missing the handles on the sides. I dont have the key for the front lock and neither did the previous owner. I assume that is the reason for the detached bottom plate of the lock from the trunk's body. The plate is present and the lock is fully assembled and in good cosmetic condition. If you're looking to use this piece decoratively. The key doesn't matter much anyway. This is a very unique trunk that I know nothing about. I could find none others like it online. I took as many pictures as possible to serve as the description. As I don't really know how to describe it. The hinges are made so that you can easily remove the top or open the top leaving it attached. It has 2 mini side doors that have locking hardware that opens easily with their spring mechanisms when you slide the little buttons to the right. I have no keys for this trunk. The main carrying handle is leather and is broken. There is leather on the corners of the trunk as well as rubber feet on the bottom and the side, so you can stand it up 2 ways. Found at an estate auction: an incredible 1961 BARBIE DOLL collection- everything sold. I am now finally selling the BARBIE carrying case itself. This is the iconic large black vinyl case featuring"Ponytail Barbie" and what is more rare is that this case is designed to hold TWO dolls. The exterior vinyl surface is in really very good condition, very minimal scratching or staining, and NO tears in the material. Some surface rust on the metal parts. Functioning handle and latch. The inside is missing one of the wardrobe drawers. But both hanging bars, both red vinyl doll holder straps with snap closure are fully intact and functional. The inside is intact without rips, but looks like it could use more cleaning. The planter is marked on the base DARCO Troy N.Y Made in Japan. This porcelain elephant is in gently pre owned vintage condition.with no chips. Breaks or repairs. The opening on the back of the elephant measures 2 inches long.great for a small plant or as a desk accessory to hold pens! Hello, Up for auction is a very neat Antique Steamer Trunk. This trunk measures about 40 longx 22 wide x 13 deep. This trunk was sent to the Wisconsin State Historical Society- it is written in paint on the top of trunk It has the two shipping tags on both sides- on it it states that the contents were historical photographs and china having to do with Col. Raymondo? Biography- this trunk is empty- there is nothing included) It does have a tin with 2 keys in it for the trunk. The trunk has traveled a lot and does have wear. Vintage Mattel 1962 vinyl black case. Has issues and needs to be clean. Fits 2 Barbie's, clothes and accessories. Measures approx 13" high, 7-1/2" wide on outside closed top, 21-1/2" open from each end. Sides of case has old stickers, some writing on top. Outside graphics are in descent shape. Clasp is workable and rusty. Vinyl on side top is starting to tear. Metal outside is ok. Metal rivets are rusty. Black handle is ok. Vintage Lot Ginny, Nancy Ann Muffie, Ginger Dolls, Clothes & Doll Trunk
Lot of Vintage 1950's Dolls. The lot includes(3) Ginny's bend knees. 1) Nancy Ann straight leg& 3) Ginger straight leg Dolls. The dolls measure 8" high. They come with clothing as shown in the pics as well as extras in the trunk and stands. They are in good condition but their hair could use a restyling and bodies may require a light clean up. One of the Ginny dolls has a bit of glue residue on the side of her face that could be removed with a cleaning. Some of the clothing is missing snaps and a few require a minor cleaning and/or mending. The trunk has a few holes in it. Starting bid lower than usual due to the minor flaws. ANTIQUE/COLLECTIBLES AUTO MEMORABILIA- VINTAGE CAR TRUNK HANDLE
This is a very old solid brass Trunk Handle from my father's garage. Most of it is brass and the dull black sections of it appear to be inlaid and not just painted on. Don't know what the black is or how they did it) More importantly. I don't know what antique vehicle it came off of? It is quite heavy for it's size(about 1 lb) measures 3 5/16 inches wide& 5/8 of an inch high. The total overall length of it is about 4 1/2 inches. The handle extends about 2 1/2 inches above the mounting surface and the 1/4 by 1/4" square section(which is steel) extends 2 inches into the lock(and trunk of course) The oval shaped mounting plate is about 1 1/8 inches high and 2 inches wide. The two mounting holes are 1 1/2 inches on centers. The holes themselves are about 3/16" in diameter and are made to accept oval headed bolts. ... moreThe recessed tapered side is about 3/8" in diameter for the head of the bolt. And extends about 2/3 of the way thru the 1/8th inch thick mounting plate. Although this was most likely made for a specific vehicle. It could easily be adapted to just about any type vehicle, or even used to open the overhead garage door that houses your antique car) It looks to be too good to have been used on one of Henry's old clunkers(I mean cars- I'm sorry all you Ford enthusiasts. Vintage 1950's? Tree trunk Nut Bowl, nut cracker and (5) pucks.
This is a great piece. The bowl is a little over 10" around and 3" tall and has the nut cracker in the middle along with(5) picks. The design on the two of the picks match the cracker and the other three match themselves. Very nice old set as you can see by the pictures. It has the normal wear and tear you might expect I would say in very nice condition.

The trunk is wood covered in canvas. And has iron/metal straps and edging. There are wooden ribs embellishing the top and sides of the trunk, and these are in fairly good condition. The inside of the trunk has cloth covering in basic good condition. No tray. Unit rolls on original porcelain casters. Overall the trunk is extremely solid.
