One arm, and 2 side chairs. they are ... morenewly recovered with a gorgeous soft pink fabric that is nicely tufted. i said newly, the fabric may be a few years old but it is in new condition. i am not for sure what the fabric may be. i bought this set from a wealthy estate and it is possible that it is silk, but i can not be for sure. at any rate, it is a very fine fabric. there are no damages to the set as far as i can tell, save one of the casters on the sofa kept falling out so i put a dowel in the hole, glued it and redrilled it for the caster. other than that i know of no damage or repairs to the set. it is very sturdy with no wiggles or wobbles etc. the backs of the chairs are all nicely laminated. my pictures are not very good as the lighting where i have this set is poor. the entire set of course is pierced carved in the finest fashion. the detail on this set is as good as i have ever seen in stanton hall. the finish is wonderful, however, my pictures are dull and that is not the true state of the finish. also the color of the wood and fabric is not exact by along shot. i will take the arm chairs outside tomorrow and get some pictures in the sunlight. the room they are in is inside the middle of my house and there are no windows there. anyway, i can get some much more accurate photos of the finish and colors of the wood and fabric and should anyone care to see them i will be more than happy to send them to you. also if there is anything else you want to see close up of, please ask and i will supply them as well. the legs are nicely carved, fluted, and contoured which does not show well in the pictures, nor does the carving in the center of the front of the seat support show very well. it is i promise you a very wonderful set. i am starting it at a money back price or less. i see a three piece set on ebay for 55K and 2 side chairs for 20K. the sofa is 66 inches wide, 49 inches tall, and the seat is

This measures about 87 ½ inches with trays in place and the seat cushion is 65 inches. Each tray measures 23 by 12 inches. The bottom cushion has been covered with material. Loosely, not professionally, and has some fading and tears. Th e back pieces are in great shape with some stains on back from support bars. This does fold out to make a bed as well. The frame of the piece is in excellent shape and very solid with no issues at all but the bottom cushion is the only negative part. I cut down two nine foot tables from a butcher in Ohio Amish country to make several tables. I sanded it, and applied several coats of Poly. I added a set of vintage industrial lathe legs for a cool table. I tried to take decent pictures so you can judge its condition for yourself. As with any vintage industrial piece it has dings, scratches, cracks, repairs, rust, faded paint, missing paint and old rough sawn marks. Vintage Italian Provincial 3 Section Sofa 1960s
BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN PROVINCIAL 3 SECTION SOFA 1960S This sofa has been in my family since 1964. When my mother purchased it from Gilberts Fine Furniture in downtown Pittsburgh. It was recovered once in the 1980s and has been taken care of through the years. I remember when we children were not allowed to sit on it for fear of the damage we might cause! This sofa is covered in a lovely gold brocade fabric with light pink and green flowers and small spots of brown accents. The wood frame is hand carved with gold gilding. The side pieces are 48 to 49 inches wide. The middle piece is curved and approximately 24 inches wide at the front.and 53 inches wide at the back. This sofa was made during World War 2 by Italian Prisoners of war. It was made sometime in the 1940's. It is hand carved and has been refurbished once and has some splitting at roughly four places that need to be nailed and glued. One small crack as shown in photos.

Fabulous vintage carved roses framed open arm sofa finished in a brown bronze gilded finish ~ beautiful 2 inch roses adorn the entire frame including all across the back. Arms, skirting, and legs ~ all of the carved roses are elevated gracefully around the frame and peak at the back middle as well as a smaller peak at each back side ~ there are 4 cabriole curvy legs at the front and 2 at the back side ~ an additional middle leg for support has been added at the middle back– this piece was once secured against a wall perhaps in a large foyer or parlor and still has the third leg in the back as well as a protective felt piece against the back top towards the carving and two small pieces of wire where someone had extra secured the French Sofa– it is very sturdy and comfortable but the extra pieces could be removed if you wanted the piece to ... morebe placed not against a wall ~ upholstered in a soft gold and creamy beige brocade with French Swirls throughout and matching two toned braid covers all of the upholstered edges ~ the back has covered buttons neatly situated at 12 inch intervals creating a great finish effect and the covering underneath the cushion is buttoned as well ~ the cushion is very curvy and at the front middle, the depth is 22.5 inches ~ 45 inches from the floor to the tip of the roses crest at the middle and 45 inches at the widest area from arm to arm ~ there is minimal wear to the gilded paint and this is just a most pretty and interesting piece ~ great elegant look as it is or how Romantic Chic this would be with a white or cream painted frame ~ so many possibilities! ~ I see no problems at all with the gorgeous existing fabric! Here up for bids is a cool vintage sofa by Clayton Marcus. Actual age is unknown but my guess is the 60's 70's. Has the tag on the bottom and the bottom fabric is a USA flag. Hard to see in the photos. Couch is in decent condition. Could use a clean. May smell a bit musty from storage. I don't notice any major stains. Some light soiling on the arms. Has arm covers. This is for local pick up only. If you want to arrange freight I can help load on a truck. I may be able to bring to you for a fee if not a long distance. Ask before bidding.
