This fine 19th century Victorian dresser offers beautiful raised panels of burl walnut on the mirror portion as well as on the drawer fronts. And the top of the mirror has a wonderful fancy carved high crest with carved fruit below at the center, flanked with raised panels of burl walnut and intricate carved rosettes accenting the top portion of the mirror. We believe this dresser to have its old original finish and the original casters on all four feet. This lovely dresser measures a total height to the top of the pediment on the mirror of 90 inches. The dresser width measures 42 1/2 inches, dresser depth measures 19 inches, and the height from the floor to the top of the marble sides measures 32 1/2 inches,height from the floor to the marble at the center measures 25 1/2 inches and this piece weighs approximately 155 lbs. The mirror portion and the marble does lift off to allow easier transport and moving. We believe the old wavy mirror to be original and it measures 35 1/2 inches high by 17 inches wide and is in fine antique condition with only some silver dusting that's age appropriate. The lovely brown beveled edge marble on the base is also original and is in wonderful antique condition. However the center marble(right side towards the back of the dresser) does show an old repair which I have shown a close-up shot of, repair appears tight and secure and very well done and not very noticeable at all unless close inspection. The dresser base offers two smaller drawers on each side above two larger drawers below( please note the sliver of wood missing on the stile between the two larger drawers) The drawers offer period ebony and brass teardrop pulls, early dove-tailed ends, and all the locks are intact on the drawers but we do not have they key. Condition: Used Location: Swedesboro, United States This is a Vintage Mahogany Dresser Mirror. Also referred to as a Shaving Mirror or Shaving Stand, hand made by Potthast Brothers in the 1930's. As ... moreis typical Potthast, the details on this piece are exquisitely done. The mahogany wood grain is wonderfully rich and the turnings are a masterpiece. There are 3 drawers, and the dovetails on the drawers are cut by hand. The knobs are delicately turned. The mirror is held in place by solid brass thumb pieces carefully inlaid into the posts. The top of the cabinet section is inset and the sides are framed by short turned columns which add an interesting touch and create balance. It measures 24 inches wide by 25 1/4 inches tall to the top of the spindle posts by 9 inches deep. The mirror itself in it's frame is 20 inches by 16 inches. This piece would make a handsome and functional addition sitting on top of a dresser. I took the photos outdoors so the lighting would show the condition of this piece and the beautiful wood grain. There are some small dings and scratches to the finish which. I believe add to the character of the piece. There is some color fading from sunlight on the surface behind the mirror. The Potthast Brothers Furniture Company was founded in 1892 by brothers Vincent. John, Theodore and William who came to Baltimore from Westphalia, Germany. A fifth brother remained in Germany and was also a furniture maker. The business and showroom was located in the prestigious building at 964 N Charles Street in Baltimore. We had the pleasure of spending time with Theodore and his wife who lived a shore distance from our home when we lived in Baltimore. In 1996. This lot contains three table runners and one doily. The smaller flower basket runner measures 38" long and 12" wide and is embroidered on a tight lace like fabric. The floral wreath measures 32" long and 18" wide and is a linen fabric. The large flower basket runner measures 39" long and about 15" wide. It is a linen also. But has a small dark spot and a slight wear area right next to each other(spot is about 1/16" and the wear is about 1/8" The small round doily measures 7-1/2" in diameter. All appear to be handmade(loose threads on back) The runners all have crocheted edging and the doily has a crocheted inset(I believe it is linen also) Most of my items for sale are from auctions or flea markets. Vintage Finland Table Runner. Dresser Scarf, 1960s Vintage linen from Finland is from about 1968. Brought back from Finland by a relative. I believe it is linen. Measures 33 x 17 inches. Design is 12 blocks, each 8 inches x about 5 1/2- 5 3/4 inches. Colors are still very bright. Has not been used; has been in a cedar chest. There is one slight faded line in center of linen. Pictures: Turtle in left corner, snail with a house on his back, center a bird with black, orange and white diamonds on body and a fish. Bottom row: three cats and a mouse. Definitely has the Finnish colors and design. Bottom edge of linen in black lettering are names and a designer name but it is not clear. Far one on right I think says: Louise? design. I'm not sure if this is Ormolu or brass. Definitely antique/vintage. Mirror has a couple of minor scratch's. There is a little green residue on each side where the cherub/putti's are which makes me think it may be brass. But. Again I am not sure. I have not cleaned the metal as I don't know what it is actually made of and do not want to damage the item. Therefore, I will leave that to the new owner. For consideration is this vintage sienna colored baby doll dresser or jewelry and trinket box. It is obviously hand painted with flowers. Trees and a bird. It is made from wood, with metal accents in between the drawers. This dresser measures 5.5 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. The top drawer's handle is missing; it appears it broke off at some point. It shows a decent amount of age wear, but the wear is actually quite charming. There is some paint worn off at the top front edge as well as a few other areas. There are also scuffs and a few tiny dings. VINTAGE MATSON 4 PIECE DRESSER VANITY SET Ormolu Birds & Dogwood
This listing is for a lovely vintage four piece dresser or vanity set found at an estate sale. This elaborate rococco design features a bird on dogwood and the metal is gold plated. It is possible that this design is#183 as that number appears on the bottom of one of the items. The four pieces are a soap dish with glass insert. 6 1/4" long, K 996, a mirror that tilts and has a magnifying side, 10 3/4" high, G795, a lipstick holder or caddy, 4 1/4" long, K674 and a tissue box holder, 10 1/4" long. All the pieces except the tissue box are marked Matson and I probably just didn't find the marking on the box. All appear to be in excellent condition except for the base of the mirror which has lost its bright gold finish. Vintage Amber Glass Covered Candy/Keepsake/Dresser Dish in Undamaged Condition
No mark that I can find but I understand that is not unusual for this type of glass. The dish and lid pattern is geometric in style(like a tiny version of"Quilt" except for the foot which has an impressed pattern similar to Waterford's"Daisy" and the finial on the lid which seems to be a floral element as well. Both parts are in great condition and the only blemish I can find is one that appears to have been in the lid since/at manufacture(see last picture) A very nice piece in great condition for anyone who appreciates this lovely dark shade of Amber Glass. Ornate cutwork and embroidery on this linen. Possibly a linen- cotton blend, table runner or dresser scarf. The runner measures 40 x 15" The color is off white- egg shell white. The embroidery is done in a pale soft peach. Edges are slightly scalloped. Very clean. No loose stitches.

Lavender Tatting Vintage Dresser Scarf Mantel Scarf Table Runner 17.5" x 43"
This pretty dresser or mantel scarf is tatted on three sides with lovely white and lavender tatting. It isn't variegated thread either. But white circles with lavender swoops(I don't know the technical terms, sorry) so the overall effect is that a very skilled needle artist completed this piece. The white cotton scarf is also embroidered in soft pastel colors. And even though some of the embroidery is broken with missing stitches, this piece seems sturdy enough to be used as intended. It would also be lovely on the dinner table with your prettiest china and glasses. In addition to the missing stitches, there is one area where the fabric is thinning and a couple of tiny, faint spots(see last photo) This runner has a lot of tatting and embroidery to work with if you choose to re-purpose it. Overall size is 17.5" x 43" And ... moreother than the issues mentioned, it is in good condition. I have freshly laundered this piece and do not detect any other tears, stains or odors. For years I have collected vintage linens to use in my home. As well as for craft projects. I sell hanky bonnets and pillowcase dresses in my Etsy shop, Vintage Baby by Kay.
