It is an unusual desk with drawers opening on both sides and one door on both sides. Each side has a center drawer, a right-hand drawer, and a right-hand door. The desk was refinished in the last 10 years or so and whoever it was did a wonderful job. The desk has dainty carved cabriole legs with brass fillagree on the elbows and castors. The drawers are all dove tail with brass ribbed knobs. The doors have locks, but there is no key. The desk is in wonderful condition apart from two small cracks on the solid oak top that has nothing to do with structure and you wouldn’t want to touch it. The overall size is 52 inches wide, 28 inches deep and 30 inches high.

Here is a beautiful brass clock- extremely heavy! Made by Hamilton Watch Co. Lancaster. PA. This was a GM Award- given to someone in 1981 for 25 years of service- there is a plaque on the top of the clock. I assume that could be removed if you like, but ino way detracts from the clock! It is solid brass. And could use shined up- as you can see in photos, bottom is extremely shiny, and marked Swiss with a model number 667018. The rest could be shined up to look as new! It has a quartz clock with battery- working as you can see time change in photos. The barometer and temperature gauges appear to be working just fine. Measuring exactly the temp here, and the barometric pressure. Box in great condition too- kept complete with credit card type card from Hamilton in case service was needed. Estate auction find. Auctioneer listed this as a organ or piano lamp but you could use it for whatever decorative purpose you choose. I can't make out the manufacturer that has been stamped on the inside of the plastic globe. See picture. Condition is very good. I see no cracks anywhere not even on the flowers. The leafs are hand painted. The bulb is not included. It has a wood base with felt lining. Minor dents on the wood base but nothing serious. Measurements are for the base. 11 and 1 eighth in. long by 4 and 3 quarter in. wide. Measurements for the globe are 8 and 1 half in. long by 4 and 3 quarter in. wide. The cast iron weighted base is 5" in diameter and the lamp adjust to a total height of 19" The arm has a patent date of Feb. 3. 1903, which is very early for the portable electric lamp. The parabolic shade is 7" in diameter and has great wear and patina. The working socket accepts a standard base bulb(bulb not included) The lamp has newer wiring and an old fashioned two prong plugs. VGC Yet another rare and quirky automobilia piece up for grabs-this one destined for the desk of someone presently or formerly in the transmission business. I've had this piece for quite a while. Hoping that I'd eventually be able to identify the transmission in question. I recently went through some old books and happened to glance at a service manual for the GM 4T60-E and the light bulb went off. It seems to bear a pretty close resemblance to this transmission or could be one in the same product family. Feel free to correct me and I'll update the ad. The piece is marked"518" on the top, but I don't think this is an identifier, as it ties to a Mopar unit that looks nothing like this. As you can probably tell from the photos, this was ... moreinitially awarded to someone, likely a key player in the development or production of the unit. The plaque was removed when I acquired it, so I'll never know-if I had the other info on it, I wouldn't have had to rely on luck. The base appears to be solid walnut and is approx. 11 x 7-3/4 x 1-1/2" Pen base is chrome plated and ready for the writing instrument of your choice. It can be angled and positioned to your preference. But snaps into a default/detent position. The clock is quartz and driven by a single"N" type battery, which is included. It is in working order and keeping excellent time. Bonus-it was made in the USA. I can't even recall the last time I saw a quartz clock made in the US. This sort of helps substantiate that the piece is at least a couple decades old, which would tend to line up with this transmission's development and production run. I actually would have guessed late 70s or early 80s based on the clock alone and my experience in this arena. Great vintage find! This wise old owl comes complete with its original box. It is a promotional item from the Manhanttan Savings bank. This is another great item from my grandmother's basement. The owl has an attached ink pen(ink is dried up. But pen opens up and ink cartridge can be replaced) There is a small amount of writing on the top front outside of the box. The inside of the brass colored metal pen holder has some sort of residue, as do the threads on the center of the pen when it is opened up. A few minutes with a q-tip should take care of any issue. This is a very nice very solid oak desk made in England. It has the original solid brass handle the drawers are solid wood with dovetail joints. The base of the desk has under carriage for extra support. To the top there are a few little scratches but nothing really bad. Measurements are 66 wide.36 deep, 31 high.

Vintage Faux Leather Portable Desk Blotter w Sleeve Hand Painted Flowers Dk Teal
Very pretty faux-leather. Desk blotter. This is a very dark teal, although it looks black in the pix. Decorated with hand painted flowers and leaves on the front. Inside it's lined with a blue silk and it's got 2 pockets and a piece of peach construction paper for the blotter. The blue silk has some stains, and the edges of the leather have wear. There's also some creasing/crack looking parts to the front, too. The faux leather has a stamped print that looks like alligator skin. The back is a green cardboard.
