The marble is gorgeous with an ogee bevel edge. It is shaped to the shape of the solid hand carved rose decorated skirt that has a finial on each corner block. The whole top rests upon four multi turn spindle fancy carved legs with buttons and rosettes that are all joined together in the center with a bowl or finial type top. The white and gray grain marble top is in nice condition that has some slight discoloration that isn’t very noticeable. The table itself is in nice original condition. Victorian extending hinged gilt metal firescreen with furniture clamp& tapestry, My research shows this to be an extending firescreen which I assume dates to the Victorian era although there are no makers marks or other identifying features. The whole piece is made of metal with a gilt covering and all sections have elaborate decorative mouldings. There is a clamp for attaching to a piece of furniture and three hinged arms terminating at a hinged bar with eight suspension loops. A wonderful Victorian Doll House Chair with a Roman Chariot driver with Horse on the back- rest of the chair. This chair is silvered pot metal that is in wonderful condition. It stands firmly on all 4 legs and has no damage. The chair is very detailed and has no markings on the bottom. It looks similar to the German doll house furniture pieces. But is mush stronger metal, probably why it has survived all this time. The paint seems to be all intact and original, the only discoloring is to the underside of the seat. Up for bid is a Victorian bed. Night stand, mattress(finished) and a trunk kit. The bed and night stand were a Realife Miniature kit. They were put together in the 90's and then stored away for a doll house, some day. The 2 pieces are stained a mahogany, probably an X-acto stain. The top draw of the night stand opens without any trouble. I don't remember if the other 2 drawers open and I didn't want to try them. The mattress was purchased either at a Tom Bishop show or the Good Sam show in San Jose and hasn't been slept on. The trunk kit is by"Of Days Gone By" It is a Victorian curved top trunk by Susanne Russo. I probably bought that also in the 90's and has never been opened. It is 19 inches long and 13 inches wide. The stool is about 14 inches high overall and the brass legs are each 10 inches high. The stool is very sturdy and well built. Antique / Vintage Victorian Doll House China Head Bathroom Furniture Framed
Up for auction is a darling antique/vintage doll house bath area with china head dolls included. It is framed with glass on the top to look down and the front views. The outside is painted plain white boards- might look cute to add some design stamping. But I'm leaving it alone. It measures 15 3/4" wide with frame around it(the frame is just slightly larger than the actual room deminsion) the room is 15" wide behind the frame; it's 12 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" deep. It's a very nice size that is not too large for a nice shelf display. The china head doll is about 6" tall and the little girl on the chair is about 3" tall. They are both glued in place. You can't tell much about the little girl, but the china head looks like someone has made her body out of wood or something. I've taken a photo of ... morewhat I could. She has some little paint dots on her face. I didn't try to remove them. the little girl looks more unglazed bisque or chalk( Her arms are the same and the legs look like cotton covered wires. There are so many details around the room including a little mouse in the corner. The little tiny calendar is dated February 1878. There are 2 screws to hold the front frame in place. I have removed them to see if this could be shipped safely and I believe it can. I'll have to remove the front and fill with bubble for transportation. All the pieces feel very securely attached. I don't know how old this piece is, but it appears very old. Of course shipping will be quite high due to wood room and glass framed top/front. 2 Ornate Carved Furniture Pediment Victorian Neoclassical Cabinet Crest Carving
2 antique carved headers. Great accent pieces straight from the Victorian era. One looks like oak. The other may be mahogany, but not certain. Top one has a raised beveled cornice across the top and nice fluted center carving. Other one has recessed panels left and right with leafy carving on a textured background. Larger one measures approx. 37 inches by 7 1/4 inches. Other one measures approx. 32 1/2 by 5 1/4 inches. Both show age/wear with a chip and slight cracking to applied carving. Set of 4 Victorian 1851 Goodyear Brass Iron and Wood Wheels Furniture Casters
We have here a Set of 4 Victorian 1851 Casters. The wheel appears to be wood. But being made by Goodyear, they could be rubber. Its hard to tell, and I do not want to scratch it to make sure. They measure 3" tall. Wheels have 1" diameter. Iron peg is 1 3/8" tall. Peg is 1/4" wide. 5/8" between the three screw holes, center to center. All the tires say Goodyear 1851. LR Combs Co. On the iron top it says Pat May 20'73. 1873! The base is brass. The top is iron. Has 3 screw holes. All wheels are smooth and the iron top rotates smoothly. These were off an old victorian desk! Perfect for refinishing a piece with a great pair of period casters! One wheel. On the 3 screw holes, one of the holes has a split. I think they pierced it to close the edge. Its definitely has a split, but appears to be connected, like they pulled ... moreit out and it broke, but it was still hot and came back together! They are worn.
