1920-1930 wardrobe steaner trunk. It is a druck egg blue.With parts of it had fabric/ silver interior. All the drawers are in tact and the hinges are in tact. The vintage handles are all in tact. center lock has been scratched, some one has used a tool to get open. Length 41 standing up. 22 inches long 14 inches closed botton to top. We are 40 miles east of Dallas Texas, I will ship, however it has to be local shipper that I can get it to easily, This trunk is gorgeous in color, I don't know if it is the original colors, It has been exposed to some moisture at some time as the fabric inside looks like it. It definantly needs work.

This is an awesome steamer trunk. Not sure of the manufacturer. But there are three stickers on the sides advertising'Lauren Bacall in Applause' The leather handle is in good shape. There is some water staining on the bottom drawer and shoe holder. But the fabric is intact. It is too big and heavy to ship. But I will deliver for a fee to LA, San Diego, and possibly Las Vegas. 1900's Antique Yale & Towne Steamer Trunk Chest Wood Leather Brass
This is a great antique trunk that at one time was used by Lumpee& Russ Harness Makers; I cannot make out the rest of the wording. The trunk is structurally solid. The valet tray has two holes but this could be nicely refinished. The top tray has two sections with one that does have the leather/button loop closure intact. There is no key in the locking mechanism that was made by Yale Towne MFG out of Stamford. Conn. It weighs just under 55 pounds. This is being sold as is. If you live on the I-5 corridor on the west coast(Washington, Oregon and California) I have a shipper. Vintage Early 1900's Camelback Humpback Steamer Trunk Tin / Wood Beautiful !!!
Vintage camelback steamer trunk with decorative stamped tin on top. Front and sides. This is a small trunk as the dimensions show below. More manageable size than some of the very large ones I've seen. As you can see from the pictures the tin has developed a beautiful greenish patina. All natural and from what I can tell untouched as far as being refinished. It takes a long time to get that type of patina in the metalwork. It looks really awesome. Some original paper still remains on inside. Has built-in casters. Handles are rotted away as most are on the trucks 100 years old. It measures 30"Long x 16"Deep x 19"Tall. RARE* Antique George B Bains& Sons Trunk These trunks are quite hard to find these days since few have survived their travels…and this is one lucky survivor since originally they were intended to be light weight but they weren't very strong. This one is in very worn condition. The original decorative brass lock is beautiful and extremely rare. The lock is marked Pat’D May 1870 and Sept 1887. The lock was made by the Star Lock Works which was established in Philadelphia in 1869(formerly C. Liebrich. An early American locksmith who started in 1836) Inside the trunk is the original maker's label of George B. Bains and Sons, a successful trunk maker in Philadelphia for many years. Inside is a removable upper shelf insert to reveal more trunk space in the bottom. The bottom has condition issues and the outer straps are missing. There ... moreis no key for the lock. There are initials M. E. W. on the side of the trunk and a sticker on the side that reads Pennsylvania Railroad Company Broad St. Station Storage Room M. Train 190(Broad Street Station(demolished in 1953) was the primary passenger terminal for the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1881 to the 1950’s. I'm guessing it is from early 1900s or possibly late 1800s. Item is located in Newark. Delaware and can be picked up locally or can be shipped but buyer is to pay actual shipping costs. Item is in great condition considering its age and travel. Top handle was repaired with risen and rope that's considerably tougher than the leather counterpart neatly done also. The white strip is residue from what seems to be duct tape. There are no holes in the shell and no mildew smell. The Trunk has some scratches and scrape. Up For Sale is this awesome antique trunk. It has M.F.M. initialed on the side. The trunk is very solid and has a lot of character. It is a green color. It only has a slight arch on the top. So it would be great for a coffee table or to store blankets and such. It is good shape for the time and could be easily restored. There is no structural damage. The only damage is that on of the latches is missing some pieces and the leather is worn. Both of the handles are intact, but as you can see in the photo one is coming apart. 1920's OSHKOSH STEAMER WARDROBE TRAVEL TRUNK CHEST Ironing Board PIN CUSHION
Stands about 42 tall x 26 x 23 inches. It has a last patent date of 1923. It has six drawers. One drawer has an iron holder insert and there is also an original large pin cushion that came with this trunk. Each drawer is unique with various partitions and tie downs. There are telescoping rods for the many various original hangers. There is also a removable latching box. Pretty clean inside with very light wear. The top leather handle is broke. Some minor scuffs, scratches, paint drops present. No holes or big dents. The key lock looks as if it was pried open, but it still latches the trunk shut when rotated. Up for bid is an extremely rare and beautiful 1800's VICTORIAN WOOD AND CAST IRON HUMP BACK STEAMER TRUNK. This is a old wood trunk that is very majestic in appearance. It is beautifully crafted of an inner wood body covered in beautiful black metal sheet. Fantastic wooden bumper panels on all sides, even more so fantastic cast iron metal work of every latch, hinge, and edge trimming throughout trunk(including bottom which has small cast iron wheels) One of my favorite parts of this gorgeous trunk is the original 1800's lock and latch, it absolutely beautiful. Inside of trunk is extremely spacious and has a very clear, bold original colored illustration of a beautiful Victorian era woman starring off into the distance. The trunk itself measures at 34 1/2" long. 20" wide and 23 1/2" tall, and is what I consider, a larger ... moretrunk. It has aging wear but it has fantastically aged, could be easily used for display or everyday use as well as it is very sturdy and well built. Beautiful 1890's Antique Steamer Trunk Very nice larger sized antique trunk from the 1880's- 1890's. This trunk has been 100% professionally restored and is absolutely beautiful. The hardware and metal banding has all be cleaned and polished with a wire wheel and really looks nice against the oak slats and pine body. The top has a slight dome to it so this is not a true flat top trunk. Very solid trunk all around. Heavy wood construction, thick metal banding, hardware, and accents. Very nicely built, hinges are strong, all hardware is included. This trunk has more decorative hardware than your typical trunk from this period and the"fingers" that wrap all the corner edges really add a nice touch. Solid brass lock and super heavy duty#5 latches, which are somewhat rare. This trunk was most likely built for someone with ... moregreater means that the average person of that time period. A Ladycomet Refinished Victorian Dome Top Steamer Trunk Antique Chest With Key
Fancy Refinished Antique Dome Top Steamer Trunk With Working Lock& Key and Hidden Interior Compartment Area Here is a beautiful refinished dome top trunk from the late 1800's that we have just finished up on. Here are the trunk's dimensions: from left to right across the front is 28 1/2 inches. From floor to top is approximately 21 inches, and from front edge to back edge is 15 1/2 inches. We removed some of the metal from between the slat boards to expose the wood underneath. This trunk appears to be made up of pine base wood with oak or ash outer slat boards, and the dome top looks like early birch ply. We have prepared and finished the wood with three coats of polyurethane by Minwax to preserve it and make it nice. The wood is in decent condition considering the age of this trunk, and you can see some saw blade marks on the ... moreboards at the front of the trunk which are from the rough cut lumber which was used on this trunk back in the 1800's. This trunk maker put a nice amount of fancy hardware on this dome top. All of the metal parts which are on this trunk are not brass. We have brush painted the metal parts by hand in black and gold leaf. There are some patent dates on the fancy cap metal near the dome. It is hard to make out the exact date, although we have shown a close up picture of this patent date. We have given this trunk a lock off of a parts trunk since it was missing the lock when we purchased it. The lock we installed does work properly and comes with the appropriate key. The front latches are original on this trunk and do work ok since the springs are in good shape. The side handles have been replaced with Amish made black leather stitched straps. Going to the interior, this trunk has a nice feature which is the hidden compartment are on the underside of the dome. We have recreated the door that drops down to show this area. Nice antique miniature steamer trunk in what appears to be good condition except that the top is only connected to the bottom by the strap on inside. The paper appears to be torn in many places and has some missing in spots. The trunk doesn't appear to have had a tray. There doesn't seem to be any runners for a tray to sit on nor does it appear that they are missing. There is no key to the trunk. Trunk is approx. 10" wide by 7 1/2" tall by 7" deep. Vintage National Vulcanized Fibre Co. Steamer Wardrobe Trunk Titanic NVF antique
This auction is for a beautiful antique wardrobe steamer trunk made by the National Vulcanized Fibre Company. The construction of these trunks bearing the indian-head label date back to the late 1800s into the early 1900s. This particular piece has been stored in my moms attic since she and my dad purchased their house in 1965 from an old couple who had lived in the home since i was built in 1924. I'm estimating the age of this trunk to be anywhere between 90 and 100 years old. As seen in the pictures the trunk had been only slightly used and does not show any signs of travel use. It shows signs of oxidation on the metal parts and slightly on the vulcanized material. The leather handle has not worn out and is still in good condition bearing the number 524-22. A.E. Meek Steamer Trunk. Very Old, Very Interesting. The trunk is sturdy. It can support over 200 pounds. As you can see in the photo. It’s reinforced with wood on the outside. It appears that the canvas on the outside of the trunk was painted later then decorative flowers were added. It was manufactured by A.E. Meek Trunk and Bag Company. Denver, Colorado. I don’t know when it was made, but the A.E. Meek label inside the trunk says that their Denver phone number is 1216. There are 4 rollers on the bottom and all in good shape. There is a removable wooden tray that sits over the main storage area. On the outside. One leather handle is in good shape, the other has a couple of remnants of the leather handle. What a find! Old steamer trunk. Please examine the photos closely. The trunk is definitely showing its age. leather handles on the side are toast but they are still there. Lock bears the eagle lock co name. It is wood and tin. Lots of tin covers most of the chest and it is adorned with the pattern you see. It has lots of character! 34" x 17.25" x 18" There is rust. There is worn/missing tin etc. I did not attempt to clean etc and have not even carried it by it's handles, I hold the whole thing. The little wheels on the bottom are janky but they work and moved around easy surprisingly. Anyone who has more information on this trunk that I could add would be appreciated. You can see by the many world travel stickers that this trunk has accumulated over the years and you can also see that it has held up very well. There is one problem that you can’t see at first. The center lock and latch was broken many years ago by someone trying to get into the trunk without a key. There are two close-up photographs showing this problem. In the first few photographs you will see the original leather strap and buckel that went around the trunk. We have place this strap in position for the photographs. But it is actually not attached and part of the back section is missing. The rest of this circa-1900 Louis Vuitton Steamer Trunk is complete and could still travel around the world once again. Up for consideration is a nice flat top embossed steamer trunk. It has been hand painted to look original. All hardware and wood has been cleaned well then sealed with a satin finish for protection.
