Vintage Collectable Table Cigar Lighter - Grenade Shape
Interesting. Vintage and collectable table cigar lighter in the shape of a flaming grenade(Royal Artillery) The lighter would have been silver-plated at one time and would have possessed a wick(it would have emerged from the top of the grenade's'flame' which, once the lighter had been filled with fuel, would have been lit and stood upon the dinner table; allowing the gentlemen to light their cigars from it. Unfortunately the lighter is in poor repair having lost all of it's silver-plate and suffering any number of small dents(see photographs) Nevertheless, this remains a collectable item and one not found easily. The lighter stands c. 12 cm high(base to top of'flame) and has a diameter of c. 6.5 cm. I am reducing my rather sizeable collection of antiques(including cigar boxes and related items) and vintage collectables ... moreas I simply don't have room for them all in the house. My children have no interest in my collection(s) and it seems to me to be far more sensible to allow these items to move on. To similar-minded collectors, who will use them or, at least, will better appreciate them. Leaving these things to gather dust in the attic serves no purpose. Up for auction is a very nice collectible from the forties. This item is a combination lighter/cigarette holder. It is made by Evans and is engravable. At first. It may just seem like an oversized lighter at 2.25" x 3.75" but press in the two little buttons on the side and it's secret compartment opens. It could also be used for playing cards I am guessing. For sale is an Ansonia Crystal Regulator known as“Elysian” This clock is noted in Tran Duy Ly Reference book“Ansonia Clocks and Watches. Page 124 item#360. Circa 1914. This clock is in excellent condition except for the loss of the gold wash finish. The glass. Brass case, 2 piece porcelain dial, pendulum and mounts are in excellent condition. The operation is intermittent. It may run for a day without stopping or sometimes 5 minutes. Allow to have some adjustment made. It is an eight day open escapement movement striking on the hour and half hour with the faux mercury pendulum. Dimensions are 16 ½” tall. 8 ¾” with a 4” dial. Please examine the pictures. Vintage chrome Ronson Crown table top lighter antique art deco industrial
This is a Ronson Crown table lighter. I am listing two of these. It measures approx 2 inches tall and three inches across. I will be listing a lot of lighters. I have Ronson. Zippo, trench lighters, Elgin, Scripto, Monaco, and many others. These are all estate lighters. I am selling each one as is. It might need a new flint. All will need lighter fluid which brings me to say I do not know if they will work or not. I can mail lighters with lighter fluid in them so I can not test them to let you know if they work or not. All of them seem to have working lighting mechanisms. What I mean by that is after adding fluid and possibly a new flint I see no reason why they would not work. Vintage 1954 Ronson ChromeTempo Table Top Lighter
This Chrome Ronson Tempo lighter is from 1954. I have no idea if it works but the thing you press down to make the flame light is nice and smooth. Not too loose, not too tight. I have no fuel or wicks to test this item. It's an attractive lighter from the'50's that I can picture sitting on a coffee table next to the cocktail glasses and an overflowing ashtray with the HiFi playing some Sinatra in the background. It's in pretty nice shape but there is a small chip on the under portion, on the rounded part and the bottom felt which looks original to the lighter, is torn. Antique Silverplate Ronson Crown Table Lighter Set
You are bidding on an antique silverplated Ronson"Crown" table lighter set. This set consists of a silverplated Crown wick lighter. A matching cigarette holder, and a silverplated tray. These sets were sold from 1949 to 1954. The Crown wick lighter was produced from 1936 to 1954. There was also a butane Varaflame Crown which was produced from 1959 to 1966. The style of lighter in this set was produced from 1949 to 1954. The lighter is 2.4" H x 3.0" W x 1.8" D. The holder is 2.9" H x 2.6" W x 2.6" D. The tray is.6" H x 11.8" L x 6.1" W. The lighter has been restored using genuine Ronson parts, with the exception of the fuel cap washer, and the green felt base. A new fuel cap washer and green felt base have been installed, which are very much like the originals. The lighter has been rewicked, ... moremeaning that I remove the cotton packing and wick from the fuel tank, inspect and replace if necessary. The wick is then reinstalled in the proper way, and the cotton is repacked. The flint tube has also been inspected, and is not cracked. A cracked tube would make the lighter dangerous for actual use. I do not sell lighters with a cracked flint tube. The lighter also comes with a brand new Ronson flint. This is a fully operational lighter. Just add fluid. It uses Ronsonol, or Zippo. It does NOT use butane fuel. The silverplate on the lighter and holder is in very good condition. The tray has several pits, but still shines. There are minor pits and defects on all the pieces, however these are not removed, so as to keep the antiquity of the set. These pieces were originally coated with clear lacquer, which has long since deteriorated. All of the pieces have been carefully cleaned and hand polished to a brilliant shine, using a high quality metal polish. I will include a photocopy of the original instructions that came with the lighter. This vintage late 1950's to 1960's two piece table lighter& ashtray was made in Japan. The graphics feature the"hand painted" Las Vegas Casino Center street scene on both table lighter& matching ashtray. Both pieces are ceramic with fired. Glazed enamel& resemble dice. The lighter is solid brass, also made in Japan& the mechanism is flint/fluid& fully automatic. The graphics are in the glaze, not painted on the outside surface. I've seen many Vegas lighters, most are pocket lighters. I have never seen this set before. There are even slight differences in the street scenes. These were hand painted so they are not identical. Approximately 6-8 inches high Ashtray has a little light wear. Mainly on the bottom as you can see by the picture, but overall very nice I have not filled it with fluid to test it. But it makes a spark perfectly fine. AS IS but it is assumed to work with no problem. The Lighter is the main piece here. But I thought the ashtray would be nice to throw in as well. VINTAGE TABLE TOP GAS CIGARETTE LIGHTER AND ASHTRAY. BOTH LEAD GLASS-CRYSTAL. Take a stroll back to the'60s or'70s with this beautiful set of cigarette lighter/ashtray. Looks lovely atop a center table or on a home bar. I am not an expert in glass or crystal. But I have carefully examined the two pieces and found that the ashtray does have a small"point" chip on one of the 16 points. It can be seen in the picture of the ashtray topside; lower left hand corner of ashtray. But it is still in beautiful condition-heavy and shiny. I am not a smoker and bought the cigarette lighters for looks only because I love cut glass, but I believe the cigarette lighter uses butane gas. I think the lighter is a Princess House item. Cigarette Lighter measurements are: 4-1/2" tall x 3-1/2" at its widest and 1-3/4" at its base; ... moreand Ashtray measures 6" diameter on the outside. 4-1/2" inside the rim, and 3-1/2" at the base. Vintage Cut Glass Crystal Table Lighter Strikalite. Measures 2 1/2" tall. Marked on the inner silver lighter canister around the neck: Strikalite Ltd Inc USA. Three part lighter. The small inner metal canister holds a flint and wick with a roller ball strike. The top and bottom is an intricately cut glass holder in a paneled diamond cut pattern. Top and bottom are polished smooth like a mirror. This is in Nice clean Condition. The wick has never been lit and it does need a flint. The cut glass has a tiny little chip on the edge of the base that is more felt than seen. The crystal shines like a diamond in the sunlight. This was in my Dads bar. Used for display. Empty decanter liquor bottle. Marked on the bottom FEDERAL LAW FORBIDS SALE OR RE-USE OF THIS BOTTLE O 56 D9 64 3 Lighter pulls out of the aluminum screw top. The lighter is 1 1/2" tall and is marked Japan on the bottom. The lighter may need a new flint( because it has a hard time striking. the top is 3 1/2" tall without the lighter. Silver rimmed base on bottom of Amber bottle.
