This Rocker Was Made By Conant& Bush of Gardner, Mass* It Was Never Painted This Rocker Was Purchased For A Woman Named Jessie Who Was Born In 1888 Her Baby Picture Will Accompany Her Rocker On the back of her baby picture is written"Jessie Born 1888 in Hampton. N.H. This exceptional rocking chair is made of rattan. Reed, and cane. It is in very good antique condition. The chair used to have a caned seat and back. When the center cane pieces broke. Possibly because Jessie stood on it, a wooden seat was placed over the top of the original caned seat. That seat has holes some of which form at star. The cane remnants are under the wooden seat as shown in the 10th picture. It does have some other condition issues. None of these issues affects the chair's stability. There are several pieces of wound reed missing. Examples are shown in photos 6-8. One area has been bound with copper wire soldered into place. There are a couple of other areas along the chair's arms where the reed binding is broken or is missing. This is simply a stunning and authentic child's reed. Caned rocker that is 133 years old! As of the time I listed this rocking chair. Another Ebay seller was selling a envelope and stamp postmarked 1885 by the chair's makers Conant& Bush. This rocking chair is approx. 23" high. Across the arms the chair is 17 1/2" The back is 15 1/2" high and 15 7/8" wide.

Classic Japanese tin litho. Battery operated toy. ca 1950-60s. Mother Bear sits knitting in her old rocking chair. This is not in working condition, sorry, don't know what is preventing it from operating. maybe a loose wire on inside) Doesn't look like this has been tampered with. Battery compartment is clean, just a little white residue/stain on cardboard, no corrosion to terminals or insides. In clean condition, just a few light scratches to the tin litho in a few places. His battery box is rusted and in poor shape. I did test him and was able to get his eyes to work but not all the time, plan on his eyes not working since sometimes they would flicker and sometimes they wouldn't do anything. This is a wooden Arts& Crafts style Reclining Rocking Chair. The Rocking Chair reclines from straight upright to one of 4 reclining positions by moving the rod that is held by an iron brace on the back of the chair. The back of the chair rests on the metal rod and allows the user to recline(gently) while rocking(Pls see picture 4) The reclining positions are not severe. Please see pix# 5& 6. The original cushions on this chair were most likely leather. The cushions on there now are newer cushions(seat& back) and the cushions have matching fabric with piping on the edges of the cushions. The years of storage and, most importantly, the years of handling by the 19th Century version of"roadies" travelling countless miles by train from show to show, then by wagon from train station to venue, and back, very possibly to Europe for the show's European tour, this chair is in remarkably good condition. It is in excellent condition for a rocking chairof this age. As you can see it was reupholstered with a floral fabric that hasa beige background. It is a very cheerful. Pretty piece. Antique ladies rocker in Shaker style with woven seat. Back measures 33 inches tall. Seat measures 13 inches from the floor. It is 16 inches across the front and 15 inches from back to front. Note the double stretchers under the seat. The back panels measure 13 inches across. The rockers or runners measure 28 inches from tip to tip. Note the detailing on the back which is typical of the Shaker style. There is no maker's mark or number on the back of this item. Lovely antique patina. no pets- no smoke Good luck bidding! This is a fantastic condition antique folding rocking chair. The chair is all its original wood and the hinges and hardware are all in tact. Even the label on the back is in fantastic condition. And reads Edward W. Vial, Patented in July, 1876. It has a floral pattern in the seat and backrest, which has a few signs of wear, but in great condition considering its age. This char is very comfortable, and actually quite small. It measures 34 inches tall, 24 inches from the front of the rockers to the back, and 18 inches across. This piece is very cool, a perfect addition to any home!

Early EAMES for HERMAN MILLER - Fiberglass Rocking Chair RAR Mid Century Rocker
Ray and Charles Eames for Herman Miller- RAR" Fiberglass Rocking Chair A hallmark of mid-century design. This Eames' fiberglass shell rocking chair is in very good condition for it's age. Color of shell is"light ochre" which looks like a butterscotch yellow or gold in some light, and a bit brighter in natural light. The wooden runners are stained a sort of medium brown to blonde. I believe this to be an early model, as it does not have an embossed stamp or sticker(may have had a sticker at one point, most likely the checked Herman Miller version, but has long since been removed) Because of this lack of markings and the plastic's translucency, I think this was produced by Herman Miller with Zenith plastics, but I cannot authenticate this myself. I can say for certain, however, that this is in fact from the early ... more50's, is NOT a modern reproduction, and that the base, rockers, and hardware are original to the piece. The shell is free of cracks or significant chips(does have some minor nicks along edges(see pic#9) and a small discoloration spot on the seat(see pic#11) The base has a black matte finish. Is structurally sound and in great condition. All of the hardware(screws, etc. are present, and do not appear to have ever been replaced or even loosened. The wooden runners are in good shape, with some expected nicks and marks along edges and bottoms(see pics#4,7,8) Shipping within the continental U.S. will be a flat rate of $100. Which will include packing and materials, and will be send via FedEx. If another shipping method is preferred, extra costs will be applied. International shipping can be arranged, the costs will depend on location, but will surely exceed $100 as FedEx Air would be necessary.
