They are hand crafted from the finest oak. Then of course we have the gorgeous oak refectory table which extends. The table has been hand crafted from the finest oak and is solid and chunky with no wobbles. The legs are hand turned and very chunky linking the stretchers to the bottom. The apron to the table has refrectory style hand carved sections perhaps better illustrated by the close up photos. The table extends so you can make more space with it when required for dinner parties and the like. The table is offered in very good condition and sits eight chairs when unextended. That's the great thing. You can open it out to sit more people when occassion arises. We bought this set from a dealer in Sheringham. Norfolk. It looks as though the needlepoint cover may have been added at a later date. It looks to be either a child's chair or a sewing chair. The dimensions are tallest point approx. 29 inches. Seat height 10 inches, seat itself 12.5 inches by 13.5. The chair is not perfect but it is in very nice shape for its age. Father-and-son furniture manufacturers in Austria in the late 19th ... moreand early 20th century. The chair is approx. 28 3/4" high. 28 3/4" from front to back of the rocker and about 16 1/2" wide in the front. Two of the Kohn labels appear on the chair bottom(see photos) There is also another label but it looks as if it was handwritten and it is no longer legible. I do not know what kind of wood it is made from. The chair has two big problems. The biggest is that the left front leg has broken at the base. By the rocker. There was a screw holding it together here but it has come apart. The other problem is that the curved support underneath the back of the chair has cracked. So far it is still holding together. I don't know if these are"fatal" flaws– I am hoping someone with knowledge could repair these defects and have a beautiful chair. Otherwise. The chair is in good condition. The finish has some scrapes and scratches. Maybe a candidate for refinishing? The upholstery is in very good shape– just some slight fraying on the seat. I don't know if it is original or not. I am not sure exactly how old the chair is. The Kohns formed their partnership in 1867 but I am not sure how long the company lasted. I found references to their pieces from as late as the 1920s. I have the chair marked as"pickup only" because I am afraid in its current state it would not survive shipping. I have many other antique and vintage items listed on eBay as well. Identification This antique L. and J.G. Stickley chair retains its original"THE WORK OF L. J.G. STICKLEY" paper label beneath one arm. As shown. It is circa early 20th century. Condition The chair looks good overall. It has its original leather seat. Which has wear and some staining. The finish appears to be original. The oak has minor nicks, scuffs, and dings, all of which are normal wear for an antique chair. The rocking chair has been upholstered with wonderful boat themed fabric, and the upholstery is also in great condition, with no holes or tears. I am unsure of the age or origins of the chair. I have been told that the chair is caned beneath the upholstery, but I have not seen it, and don’t want to damage the upholstery to find out. The dark stained finish on the chair is worn at the ends of the armrests from use. This is normal wear and gives the finish a nice patina. It is 36” tall, 30” deep at the rockers, 27.5” across the armrests, 18” wide across the seat, 19” deep at the seat, and about 19” tall at the seat. It is a beautiful rocking chair in great condition.

Antique, Primitive Childs Rocking Chair, Shaker, Cane, Wood Woven Seat & Back
I don't know much about this chair so I have something wrong. Feel free to let me know. It's a very solid chair with great design and hand done ornamentation. Very simple with lightly carved spindle ends and woven back and seat. Judging by the wear I'm guessing it's over 100 years old. The weave is in good shapeand all joints are very solid. I believe it's made of maple or poplar. Aged very well and sits straight and strong. Wood on most of it appears to be hand carved and worked. You can see some areas had painted or stained accent areas that have faded. Chair is about 2 feet tall and rocker rails are also about 2 ft long. Looks like it would be for a toddler. measures 23"w x 21"d x 25"t I just couldn't let this sweet thing go to the dump or? So I saved it. Stripped the ugly vinyl off and painted the bottom and re-upholstered it. It had those brass brads all up the sides of the arms. But for kids.I didn't replace them, so the front panels are sewed on. I have no idea how much it would cost to mail out.so I will put it up for a local pick-up. I would work with you on the mailing.but it's heavy and I'm guessing it will be over $70.00±. This is a classic bent wood rocking chair from era circa 1840 to 1880. The seat and chair back were re-cained by Robert"Doc" Banzhaf of Boone North Carolina. At that time we asked"Doc" how old the chair was and he said that he thought it was from the fore mentioned time frame. The chair is in excellent condition. This is a rare. Fine and untouched Shaker#0 child's rocking chair. It appears to be in untouched condition and the taped seat is very likely original to the chair. I see no evidence of any repairs or replacements on the chair. It has"0" impressed on the back of the top rung but there are no other markings. It has wear in all of the right places and has the surface that you always hope to find on a treasure like this one. It measures about 23" to the top of the finial, 14" across the widest point of the arms and 9" from the floor to the seat. Please feel free to ask any questions. Original Vintage Ernest Race Rocking Chair
This is an original Ernest Race Rocking Chair first produced in 1948. I would say this is a very early production model. It is a beautiful design from the immediate post-war period. It has of course signs of age and use and could be further cleaned to preserve the antique look of it or could be stripped and repainted as you wish. The original seat with it's fabric is present. There is no back cushion but this could easily be made in a fabric to match a recovered seat pad. Herman Miller Eames rocking chair - original factory rocking base
Vintage Herman Miller Eames rocking shell chair in excellent condition. Shell is elephant hide gray embossed with the Summit double triangle logo. Good fiber content, no chips, holes or cracks. Has a few small abrasions, with overall very minimal wear. Base is original. Factory rocker base. It looks like one of the rocker rails had a small repair where one of the layers of wood began to seperate, and was fixed with carpenter's glue. It's a common flaw in some of these older rockers, but a very easy fix. Not really visible unless you're very close. Some oxidation to the metal and age appropriate wear to wood. This chair is one of the nicest vintage rockers I've come across and ones with original bases are difficult to find. The pictures best describe the chair. As always. It has been re-upholstered(more than 20 years ago) in a red-leatherette material with brass stud trim. Dimensions are 17” wide over the armrests. 13” seat depth, and 25” high at the back. Condition is Good: bottoms of runners show wear, but solid; a few minor nicks and scratches on the legs and armrests. Sam Maloof Rocking Chair Leather Seat Vintage 1972
Sam Maloof high back rocking chair with black leather seat. This is an original Maloof. The Maloof Foundation in Alta Loma has the records of its build and sale. And will be available to the buyer. The chair is in excellent condition overall, with only two notable flaws as outlined. It has not been restored or refinished in any way, only lightly cleaned as to not ruin the finish, and stored in an unused bedroom for the last decade. The Maloof Foundation offers very affordable restoration services if needed. And the wood could certainly use a professional cleaning. Picture 11 shows a small dent in the outer edge of the left arm, picture 12 shows the scratch in the upholstery(doesn't go through) Please let me know if you need any additional pictures. Including the finish- there are some issues, mainly with the finish, as seen in the photos, where you will also see the one split in the cane seat- nice brass Heywood Wakefield label- about 35 1/2" high at highest point, the seat is about 15" off the ground, the arms from the outside edges 22 1/2" wide, the seat is about 17 1/2" deep, and the seat is 21" wide. EXTREMELY RARE ANTIQUE WOMENS CIVIL WAR MAHOGANY ROCKING CHAIR NOT A REPLICA
It's an extremely rare women's goose neck rocking chair from the civil war era not a early 20th century replica.There's lots of children's rocking chairs but very few women's.This is larger than a child's but smaller than a full size rocker.It's made of mahogany without all the elaborate carvings and is 31" tall and 17" wide.Pictured are burlap straps over 4 individual springs that have been tied together with rope and then to the frame so they won't move with real old cotton for padding.The upholstery is so old on this that it's turning to powder.This may have been reupholstered in this fabric at the turn of the century as there is a combination of hand made nails and tacks along with some early machine made nails.This has been passed on to several people in my family and finally to me over 20 ... moreyears ago.It will need to be reupholstered and the frame only has minor scratches.It's always been put away that's the only reason it's in this condition.This is a one time ad for pickup only.If it doesn't sell it's going back into storage for a real long time again.

His shopmark is hard to find on chair as he did this on purpose to not take away from the design where it would be obviously seen. Signature on photo not sure exactly if it was the first signature or second so the making period falls between 1901-1905. Very sturdy and good condition for age with wear typical for a 100 year old rocker that was sat in. Excellent front but some wear chip on back of top as shown not seen on the front. Seat excellent with a slightly different shade of wood or maybe it was painted or original design. Very sturdy seat that holds much weight and no splits or damage. ANTIQUE Vintage 1880's Child's Toddler Wood Rocking Chair - Upholstered Seat
From a local estate sale comes this beautiful very old. 1880's, handmade wood antique child's rocking chair. Previously owned by my neighbor who is 92 years old, she tells me this was made by a German carpenter(name unknown) in Kansas City for her mother's 1st birthday! Wood(unknown what kind) is gorgeous and still has shine to it but not sure what to use to polish.so sold as is. Measures 28-1/2" at the floor base and 18" high. We can only imagine how many little ones throughout the years rocked away in this historical little chair. She also tells me that the upholstery was changed several times throughout the years.but can't remember when.
