This is a beautiful vintage wood piano stool by Chas Parker. It has light blue glass. Ball and claw feet. Two of the glass balls are completely round and the other two have a flat spot from wear. The seat is very smooth but does have a crack where the wood separated but not loose at all. There are small scratches and dings which you would expect because of age. Older & Unique Piano Organ Vanity Bench Stool F/Scotland W/Lots Of Sheet Music
This auction is for an older and very unique Piano Organ or Vanity Bench from Scotland. What makes the bench more unique than most is that it appears to me to have been"home-made" or hand made. The maker new what he was doing and it is a very well made bench. But compared to the 100's of these benches I have seen over the years, this one was not made in a furniture shop enviroment. Looking closely at the bench, you can see lots of"saw marks" where the boards were cut, even in the legs& stretchers. You do not see this in 99% of the benches exported over from the UK or Europe. I really believe this was made by someone who knew what they were doing, but did not have access to the better tools like a manufactor of furniture would have on hand or automated tools. I would guess and it's only a guess, a husband made ... morethis for his wife, or a father for his daughter or mother. It's not a primitive piece, but it's also not a piece that came from a fine furniture store. When you look at this bench and realize the time spent, sawing, cutting, rasping out the"wavy" edges of the border and tapering the legs& making the"arched" stretcher supports, it took a lot of time and a lot of love to complete this bench. You can go into any Antique Mall or Shop and buy a nice piano bench for $100.00 to $200.00, but the odds of ever seeing another one like this are slim to none. It is however a Wonderful piece and would be a great item to have in your home. It also has a least 30 different pieces of sheet music from the 1930's, 40's& 50's inside the storage area of the bench. I think it's made out of Walnut, it could possible be mahogany, but I will stick with Walnut. It would make a great piano bench as well as an organ bench and could be used as a vanity bench or stool for your bedroom. Antique 19th Century English Victorian CH Hare Brass Swivel Piano Stool
Here is. What I believe to be, a very rare CH Hare patented brass three legged piano stool. This stool is in perfect working condition and the height adjusts as the seat is turned. It is marked on both sides of the seat frame with CH Hare Patent, and is also marked'Registered' with what appears to be a registration or patent number on the brass base. Stool shows normal signs of aging as happens with brass over time, but no significant scratches, dents, or dings in the brass stool base. I have come across several of these stools while searching online, and most have four legs. This one is a three legged stool. I am quite certain this would not be the original upholstery. The upholstery on the top is a velour/brushed velvet, and differs from the upholstery underneath which could be the original. Antique High Back Piano Chair/Stool Claw Feet with Glass Ball, Detailed Turnings
This Vintage Piano Chair/Stool was found at an estate sale and is in very Good Condition. I believe the wood is Mahogany but not quite sure. At any rate the wood is solid. It has a round adjustable swivel seat that adjusts the height from approximately 20 1/2" to 24 1/2" The 14 1/2" diameter seat has a slight surface crack that actually adds to its Patina. The seat mechanism is very sturdy with a 3/4" threaded post. There is a small piece missing in the post mount(photo 12) which in no way hinders its operation. The markings on the Post Mount are W Holtzman& Sons Colum Buso. The Turnings on the back spindles and legs of this chair are superb, as is the curved top back rest with its intricate detailed design(photo 6) the chair back is fixed and does not swivel. The Glass Ball Feet are in good condition, but could use ... morea cleaning. The overall approximate dimensions of the chair are 15"W X 16"D X 37 3/4"H This Beautiful chair would make a great addition to someone's Piano. Or a very nice Accent Piece anywhere in the house. Antique Adjustable Piano/Organ Stool w Crystal Ball Feet Parker Swivels/Adjusts
Age is 1910's to 1920's when putting the dark finish/stain on oak and mahogany was popular. 18 1/2" fully down-24" fully up to where the threads come undone so about 23" of safe usable height. Seat is 14 1/2" diameter and dished in the middle for comfort. Signed The Chas Parker Co Meriden Ct. Leg spread is 13" across the closest feet. 17 1/2" across the farthest. Glass/crystal balls are loaded with air bubbles and in good shape. Threads in the iron mounting mechanism look good and are not worn out and it adjusts nicely. Wood could be oak,mahogany or walnut. The old dark varnish was put on it many years ago and i just can't tell but where it was worn it looks like oak. A joint or two are slightly loose but not enough to pop anything apart and do any gluing. You can see the joint seams in the top and ... moreunderside of the seat but they are actually made in 2 layers with the joints running 90 degrees apart so the seat is still strong. I also see some short cracks to the bottom part of the stool at the very top where the seat frame connects but everything feels tight. I am going to remove the 4 screws that hold the iron to the bottom of the seat to hold the box size down for shipping. This is an old antique piano or organ stool likely from the 1880s. It has writing that says"So. Acton Mass. and"A. Merriam Co. It is in extremely good condition. I really do not see any significant flaws on it at all. It works just fine. It also separates and reassembles easily. It really is a well kept and preserved piece. I don't see any refinishing and looks to be original wood. It has glass balls clutched by metal eagle claws at the bottoms of its 4 legs. See pictures for additional information. This is a beautiful antique miniature piano stool which belonged originally to my grandmother who was born in 1897. She displayed dolls on the stool which sat in front of a small child's piano. Original condition. Probably from the early 1900s to 1920's. The piano stool is still lovely. But there is a small chip on undersurface of seat and some scratches. See photos!

Travel back in time with this antique organ stool. It has a sturdy hard wood base with a swiveling seat. Measures about 22" high. 17" by 13" seat. It has been reupholstered in a kind of maroon fake velvet. The upholstery job is okay, but was not done professionally. There is a tiny 1/8" tear in the fabric on the seat(see photo) The ancient Wurlitzer organ that it originally with was in terrible condition in a barn where it sat for decades.
