I bought it from a sweet older couple from New York who now live in Palm Harbor, FL. The husband explained that it was his Grandmother's first then his mother had it. He said his Grandmother got it around the time she was married and he couldn't remember if it was 1897 or 1898. The condition is superior. It has been well cared for for 115 years by the same family. The oak grain is beautiful and the only flaws are: on the bottom of one of the round feet. Someone cut off a section of the very bottom so that it would fit closely next to something.however, it still is level because they cut off only a section, not the entire tip(please see the last pic) The other flaw is that there is a hair line split on the top where the wood has a miniscule separation. I had to inspect closely to find this. This table requires no restoration whatsoever. Has beautiful detail in the grain. Measurements are as follows: Oval Top is 32.75" long x 18" wide 27" tall from floor to top middle decorative shelf is 7.25" wide x 16" long with scrolling lower 2 round shelves are 10.5" in diameter. This is a very nice quality card cabinet and is made from tiger oak. It is missing it's handles as you can see in the pictures but does have some of the label holders above where the handles go. The cabinet is a dark stained tiger oak. The cabinet is in good shape for it's age and has a few nicks. Dings and scrapes on it as well as a stain on the top left side as you can see in the pictures. Each drawer has a little wooden slide to hold the cards. On the slides it says"THE GLOBE CARD INDEX FILE" and"Patented Aril 13th, 1897, Nov. 21st, 1899 and May 22nd, 1900" We're not sure of the age of this item but we'd bet that this dates from the very early 1900's. It's ... morein great shape for an item of it's age but it does need to be cleaned. The cabinet measures 20.5" W x 17" D x 14.24" H. The inside of the drawers will hold a 3" x 5" card horizontally. The joints of the drawers are mortised as you can see in the last pictures. The cabinet weighs 45 lbs. which is a testament to it's quality. It's a very interesting piece! China Cabinet-Oak- Heavily Carved, European French Country
First off. We are not furniture dealers. This beautiful antique china has graced our home for over 20 years. Time goes by and we are downsizing, so it's important to us that this piece end up with someone who will appreciate its beauty and respect its workmanship as much as we do. We do not know how old it is or where it was manufactured. Dealers selling similar pieces on Ebay have used the description Vintage French Country. What we do know is that this piece is very well built. It's all tongue and groove. The only hardware are the hinges. Handles and lock mechanisms and those are all solid brass. We also have a very decorative brass key that fits the locks. This piece is solid oak with a medium finish. Pictures do not do this piece justice. It is just gorgeous. The flaws mentioned are mostly hardly noticeable. We mention the bumps ... moreand bruises so that somebody is not expecting a flawless piece. However we highly encourage personal inspection of this item to see exactly for yourself. This item is in generally good condition with wear and tear consistent with its age. Recently while selling an antique coffee table we had, a gentleman that has been in the business, mention that this was probably made between the 1930's and 1950. China Hutch 56 1/2" tall. 62 1/4" long and 19 1/4" deep. Top is beautifully grained but is not parquet. Some water rings are visible. The doors on each side have a nicely detailed glass and carving. The way the glass is set with fabric piping it might be original. Adjustable shelves on each side, these doors are lockable. in the center there are 3 lockable drawers, each nicely carved. These are 23" wide. The top center is a drop down door with cubbies on the inside. This door is also lockable but is a bit difficult to shut. Front legs are curved and beautifully carved. Description Great Art Deco desk. Stamped for Goverment Issue with George VI crown underneath, the style is plain but very much Deco lines, so I'd guess it's 30's but could be 40's. Very unusual in that thought has been given to being able to move it easily. The legs detach and can be stored underneath in a custom made area! I love it's simple lines and elegance. One drawer either side, these are curved into the knee hole, again a nod towards deco design. The light oak has patinated beautifully and is now a righ buttery colour. Only visible marking is on the works- Made in Germany. Measurements are 19" in total length. 16" across the eaves and 5 1/2" across the face. Back panel opening is 8 7/8" x 9 3/4" My clock knowledge is limited and clock is sold'as is' but I'll note what I can. Back panel w/chime, one chain(2-chain clock) bellows and pendulum ... moreare missing so how much or little work it would take to get it in working order is unknown. As to appearance, the first thing is it needs a good cleaning/shining up. The cuckoo door is attached by only one hinge. There are a couple thin nails sticking out of the face for some reason. There are some small nail holes in the front roof edge so it must have originally had a top decorative piece but this is missing. The wood on the bottom of one eave is split back an inch or so but is still reasonably tight and not about to break off by any means. Going down the side with the rabbit, the very tip edge is broken off one oak leaf. The rabbit is missing one foot above the rope and one ear. There is a small hole in his side, about small nail hole size and various scuff marks to the finish on him and some leaf tips. This all sounds worse than it actually looks. The place where the missing ear was is broken nearly even with the head and if the ridges were sanded off and redone in smaller ones to match the fur, would probably be overlooked by most. On the bird side, a little over half of the bottom-most oak leaf is missing with some scattered finish scuffs on some other leaf tips. The bird

Antique / Vintage Drafting Table Cast Iron Oak 37" high
Drafting Table- Vintage/ Antque 34.5" high. Adjustable to about 37" high- 24.5" wide Cast iron base is 18.75" wide and 11.5" high. I've had it since 1975, and I have no idea how old it is. It had no top when I got it. The wood is oak and the base and hardware is cast iron. I have the steel clips to attach the top. At some point there was another circular support bar, on the far side. The original label is intact on the bottom of the chair(see detail) The Morris chair is made of solid highly figured quarter-sawn white oak. The chair has been newly refinished in a dark oak stain in the tradition of the original. This JM Young chair measures 37" tall, 31" wide(across the arms) The back is adjustable(3 positions) The bar has been replaced in old quarter-sawn oak. Here is a pre-owned Split Oak slat-wood weave Vintage firewood basket found at an old estate. Probably dates from the 1970's. It does have some wear and is old. Tapped nails that hold slat-woven basket are rusted and gold frame piece is scuffed and minor dents. One side has Eagle emblem. This slat-woven fireplace hearth basket measures approx 18 inches tall and about 16 inches deep. More than 17 inches long, and a bit more than 14 inches wide. This is a piece that I used for a Mantle Top to my rock fireplace. It was a top piece from an Antique Buffet. I have replaced the rock stuff and purchased a different mantle. Therefore, this piece is available for someone else to love. It has a really small China cabinet on top(mirror on back) With mirrors on each side and bottom. Carved oak tops, We put a solid piece of Oak for the mantle shelf. I paid more for it 20 years ago and then altered it. I just don't have the room for it any more. What could you use it for? On the mouthpiece it says, WESTERN ELECTRIC COMPANY" and under that"250 W" When I got this phone the earpiece hung, but had some other kind of wire and was not hooked up to the long wire coming out the back. As it doesn't have any kind of print on it, I don't know if it orginally came with the phone or not. On the back in the wood is what looks to be"817 R" The wood is shiny and bright. It's 20 1/2" long, about 9 1/2" wide and about 6" thick except ... morewhere the mouthpiece and the shelf cames out. The crank in the hole is missing. From there the wood is hand turned by a local craftsman into Pens. This purchase for the Fountain Pen carries a signed certificate of authenticity from the Dean and Chapter House of York Minster and a short history of York and the Minster itself. Leeds& Northrup Philadelphia Chart Recorder in Oak Enclosure. Very good condition. Appears to be complete and functional. 19" tall. 10 3/4" wide, 8" deep. There are numerous binding posts on the front of the unit, visible in the photos. This is a battery powered unit for use in situations where AC power is not available or is unreliable. The wiring inside the unit is amazing, original copper wire and green cloth wire. A Leeds and Northrup battery cell is installed in the unit, though it is probably not rechargeable and would be for display or to source a replacement only. It does not have any markings as to its rating. Enclosure. Controls, internals and front glass all appear to be in excellent condition. This Ice Box stands 42" tall, 25" wide, and 18" deep. It was painted a dingy white when purchased, and was refinished to bring out the natural beauty of the oak. It has been used as a liquor cabinet. The wire shelves were too rusted to save. Ice storage box on the top is missing the metal grate that the ice sat on. There is a small piece of wood missing on the lower left side back(Pic 12) and the top handle has been replaced. The rest of the hardware is all original.
