for sale is a solid quartersawn oak dining table with a split pedestal. i have it pictured at being open 12 feet. That is all the room i have, i expect it will open to 15 feet. i have it also pictured open at 8 feet. at any rate, the table is 54 inches in diameter, has claw feet with sitting swans, i think that is what they are, resting on the foot extension that attaches to the pedestal. actually i have had this table stored for a long time. if it has leaves, i can't find them. i have several 54 inch leaves but i can't find any that fit this peg and hole pattern. leaves can be made if someone wants some. i made 7 last week for a table i sold. i used quartersawn oak and the material cost about 65.00 per leaf. i did not find leaves nor did i find a center leg or middle leg to support the table if extended a long distance. at 8 feet ... moreit does not need a middle leg, at 12 it does. i have a quartersawn middle leg shown in the pictures where it is opened to 12 feet. it is not the original leg that the table may have had at one time, it is however a 100 years old or older, but i can make it work if someone wants to use this table for banquets. anyway, as is, no leaves and no center leg. getting back to the table, it is a very striking table of solid quartersawn oak. it is very solid with no loose or wobbling parts and pieces. it opens and closes with ease. it has very nice quartersawn flake all over the table. if anyone has an interest in leaves and middle leg, i would be happy to complete your request. i would charge 100.00 for the middle leg installed and 25.00 for each leaf i make. the material cost would be additional of course and the last leaves i made that figure was about 65.00 per leaf. it is a great table with or without leaves. it may be piked up at my home or shipped at buyer;s expense. good luck.

They do show some use to them. One of them is missing the knob. Really cool set. You won't see this to often, 6 of them. You will see 2-3 or even 4. I wanted to put them all together as a LOT. The wood work and design are beautiful-stunning. One of them is showing a split in the veneer. They are dusty-dingy, but as you can see they look great. These will display nice in a vintage setting. 21 DRAWER OAK CARD CATALOG CABINET LARGE 8" X 5" DRAWERS
This is a great item. Very well made. It has no makers marks that I could find. It is almost five feet tall. 30 1/2" wide and 19" deep. It has 21 drawers made of oak, they are very large(not the 3x5" these are a little over 5" x 8" the inside are all oak, the main cabinet is oak, with some type of panels, not sure if they are oak or not. It looks as though somebody custom made this in their workshop, I don't think it is a factory made item. I have never seen one of these this big with the large drawers, just a great item. I really like this item so if I get no bids I will just keep it for my own office. As I said it is big, heavy& beautiful. Send me any questions and I will try and answer them.

Here's a nice vintage oak church pew we received recently with some household estate goods. This one is the shorter 4 ft style pews or church benches. Allowing more flexible possibilities for use within a home. On one end there is an incised cross as we show in the pictures. On the other end there is no cross and a verticle channel that would be used to align and temporarily join two or more these pews or church benches together. Overall appearance is good with no signs of damage or abuse. It is relatively clean but could use a little light cleaning and perhaps some furniture polish or wax to look it's best. There is a shelf on the back as one would expect of a church pew. It is about 4 ft long, 2 feet deep and about 34 inches tall. Nice vintage oak church pew probably of mid-century 50's- 60's vintage. Vintage Oak Wood Carved Tramp Art Box w/Heart 15½"x10½"x11" high Milk crate size oak box with carved lattice strips of oak. Pine and cedar wood on the lid. I purchased this in pieces, the woman's husband took it apart 30 years ago to work on it and never completed it. I put the pieces back together and lightly shellacked the box. Much of the aged condition shows through, the bottom carved lattice work was raw, unsealed gray(pine wood) The interior had black felt lining at one time. I didn't touch the interior. I have a hunch the lid top must have had fabric or something covering it since the wood is a lighter color and unvarnished. Where the sides were varnished and dark with age. The lid has a slight bow to it so the lid does not seal tightly to the box or lock(there is a metal lock mechanism, no key) There ... moreare 2 floppy brass handles on the sides. On the lid is carved cedar including the heart which says LILLIAN. One of the 4 strips on the lid is pine(I suspect a replacement by the woman's husband perhaps? that one is to the right of the heart. There was one carved vertical strip of wood missing in the side which I recreated with oak(left back side) and you will never notice. It is possible there were 2 strips on the back too since there is a slight ghosted mark on one side. Measures 15½"x10½" with lid. The box is 15"x10" and weighs just over 10 lbs I never did ask the woman about it's history. Such as how or when they got it.

This print is in great condition with no stains or tears. It is dated"Copyright 1907" and is signed"Hadland" The colors are bright and vivid with no fading. It is very unusual to find a still life with corn. The frame is in great condition and is made from solid oak. It retains the 4 gesso corners which have no missing pieces and all the corners are tight. It is quite large measuring 27 1/2" by 15 3/4" and it retains the original beautiful wavy bubble glass. This is a great piece. It is a German antique steamer trunk I believe to be from about 1890-1910. This is a rare style of trunk. Double locked and oak banded(made with half round oak banding instead of flat wood bands) The exterior canvas is mostly intact with some nicks and tears from use. The color of the exterior varies a bit from darker to lighter brown. There are remnants of some old old labels on the outside of the trunk as well. All original locks. Hardware, etc. The interior lining is mostly there. But with some tears. The leather handles are still on, but one is broken and the other is very worn and would probably break if used. Overall it's in pretty good condition for the age. And it is awesome! Measurements: 18 inches tall. A good sized oak book shelf/CD rack by Squirrel Crafts of Husthwaite. Yorkshire. Takes a good sized book or a good collection of CD's or DVD's. Length 19" Depth 7.75" max, height to top of ears 9.5" Carved with the signature monogram of a squirrel with acorn. Squirrel crafts was created by the late Wilf Hutchinson and his son Trevor. Wilf was apprenticed under Robert Thompson in Kilburn and opened his own workshop in the 1950's. This piece by Trevor who joined his father in the early 1980's. Marked with his own TH monogram to the underside. Beeswax finish. Good condition has only been used for both books and CD's. Sturdy piece. Up for sale is a really nice set of ch-30 dining chairs designed by Hans Wegner from the original owner. The chairs were purchased in 1963 and stayed in the same house ever since. The chairs are in very good original condition and have never been restored or messed with. In the pictures you can see the chairs have not been cleaned(look at the back rests) I could clean them if you wanted. But I thought I would let the buyer make that decision. The chairs have less than expected wear for the age. And only have a few scratches here and there. These chairs have very thick veneer, so if you wanted to light sand them for a brand new look, you could do it without any problem. Merklen Brothers Oak Hall Bench, 1885 to 1890
This is a great hall bench made by Merklen Brothers in New York City. 1885 to 1890, in good original finish. Minor repairs and gluing of the joint were made plus it has been cleaned and waxed. Spiral turned legs and stretchers, barley twist strands woven into lattice work in the back, carved talon and ball feet.
