This is a Stickley Style Plant Stank that I made from quartersawn White Oak. It has a has a top with 4 blue tiles surrounded or trimmed by oak. The top sits on and is attached to two stretchers. This is stand is 26 inches high and about about 14 1/4 wide. It is made with pinned mortise and tenon joinery. It is double pinned horizontally on the stretcher that supports the top but the outside pin is basically decorative. It is finished with oil shellac and polyurethane. It has had a layer of antique glazing that is applied and wiped off going into corners and pores to give it a more antique finish and adding a bit of tone. The pictures probably give a better idea of what it looks like than the description. Shipping for this item is 50 dollars in the lower 48 of the USA. But many of the drawer faces have simple, straight grain. The stack is made up of 7 components. The large and small drawer sections can be stacked in any order. Beautiful antique oak 3" x 5" card filing box. Made by the Globe-Wernicke Manufacturing Company in the early 1900s. This is the 7310C Model. The box measures 5 5/8" wide x 10" long x 4 1/2" tall. It's constructed of 1/4" thick poplar and uses finger joints for strength. Inside measurements are 5 1/8" wide x 9 1/4" deep by 3 3/4" tall. Made for 5" x 3" index cards. Heavy duty solid brass hinges are in good working order. The circular"GW" decal on the front is clear. Clean and easy to read. Green paper Globe-Wernicke label on the inside is clean and bright. Has a built-in lid support and the adjustable stop is in good working order. 1930s HALLER GERMANY ART DECO CLOCK CASE ONLY - PARTS/RESTORE - OAK
Late 1920s- early 1930s Oak Art Deco Westminster 8 Day Clock Case ONLY. Made by Haller. Evidently someone lost the bezel and decided to see if it were possible to paint the case with kitchen enamel and a 4 inch brush and still be able to read the chapter numerals. Has been in storage for many years. Please see pictures for measurements and details- pictures are a part of the description. This would be great for an artist/hobbyist/restorer. Perhaps fitted with a quartz movement. Case is solid and tight, one small bit of veneer missing from the bottom right side trim base(seen in the first picture) that's it. Antique. Vintage wonderfully constructed Mechanic's Creeper. The original boards, fasteners and casters have a great old patina and item displays very well. There are not any markings that I can find on this sturdy piece. I would imagine it is from the early 1900's. The wheels are heavy metal but two of them are worn down to half the diameter and are now half circles. This would have taken years of use and wear to get them down this far. Part of the wood between these casters has worn down as well. Wood is in great condition for age. The headrest is adjustable, which is unique for this early of a creeper.The item is in used condition as can be expected. Solid oak Dixie dresser with trifold mirror
This dresser is solid wood and in great condition. We barely used it and no longer have the space for it. It has nine drawers which are all pretty deep and spacious. The trifold mirror attaches to the back of the dresser but can be unattached and and folded up for moving. Dixie company. Mouthpiece has chipping and damage and threaded top piece on receiver is damaged(last photo) Oak box is nice and ringer works when cranked. Serial#32726 is marked on box. One of the inside post connectors is penciled verizon so possibly it was used in recent past? Cloth wires from box to phone and to receiver are in poor condition. I cannot find any writing on this telephone but there is a stamp type number on the very bottom in large black letters. I am going to take it somewhere and get some more information on it unless someone can e mail me and let me know! The lady who donated this to us said everything was complete. My husband had a motorcycle accident 18 months ago and still has not taken a step so friends of ours are donating items to help us pay our bills until we can get back on our feet so we have a lot of antiques. While I am not an expert. I will tell you all I know. As you can see by the photos, it is an oak case, the hand piece is there, the hanger, the hook,bells on top, push buttons(12) that say Manager, warehouse,order dept. D Dept, Department, O Dept, Bookeeping,A Dept, B Dept, one is blank, one says city, the other says hill. These all are typed ... morein and have a little nob next to them. All the knobs are there but two, and one is white instead of black. You unscrew the side to open the phone oh yes, and the mouthpiece appears to be broken. The case itself is oak and measures 13" to the top of the bell,x 6.5" x 4" Weighs 6 lbs but probably more like 8 or 9 after shipping. The original hardware for the door is there, the cord for the phone, the original silver ringing bells which need polished up or I guess is part of the charm after that long. The lady that had it had it hanging on her wall with another old telephone we have in another auction. It looked really great. I have shown this piece in it's entirety from all sides, including the inside. If you have any questions ask before bidding.
