Note: I carefully will pack and work with the shipper you select. This beautiful quarter sawn Harden Line Morris Chair(see photo of label) has excellent leather cushions. Professionally done and very comfortable. Chair is 38" high by 32" wide by 35" deep. This chair has had some here and there dings and bangs in its 100 year life, see close up photo especially of left upper arm post. But, condition is solid and generally good, keeping in mind the age; but there is an element of AS IS to it. There is a bar in the rear for 3 different levels to position the back of the chair. Might have been refinished or color added some time ago, not sure. I will pack with great care, but I physically am unable to take to a shipper. William Morris Antique Rocking Chair with Footstool Excellent Condition
Morris Rocking Chair with Footstool. NOTE: The footsool is not original to the piece. I would guess the wood on the stool is cherry. But the fabric matches and it is at the right height to hold up your feet at any reclined position. The reclining mechanism was patented in 1901. Estimate this was made about early 1900. Very comfortable and in excellent shape. Sold as is with no known defects. The original reclining mechanism and metal bar with brass ends is also with it. Buyer must arrange shipping. Quarter sawn oak. Harden Morris Chair(see label photo) with thru tenons and slats on side. This has really excellent and comfortable leather cushions. Chair is 38" high by 32" wide by 35" deep. It has experienced some here and there dings, a bit of wear on the finish in places, and a chip on the upper left post-during its 100 year life. Purchaser may or may not want to have it refinished. I like it the way it is. And condition is quite solid. Always look carefully at photos and ask any questions before bidding. 1900 Antique mahogany morris chair
I'm not sure but this has to be mahogany or cherry. I've looked online at several of the Morris chairs and have not found one exactly like it(the arms& claws) Ones needing redone are priced around $250-300 and are oak. I've researched and seen them advertised from $300-3000. Really not sure exactly what it's worth. But think more than $300.00.

Handmade Morris Chair Family Circa. 1908
We are downsizing. I have several Morris chairs and rockers. I bought these chairs from the great granddaughter of the man who carved them. He saw an advertisement in a Sears Roebuck catalog Circa. 1908 and declared: I can make these! He made a"Gentleman's" chair. A"Ladies" chair and a folding rocker for a small individual or child. The last two are in excellent conditionbut the Gentleman's chair needs reupholstering. It is stuffed with some sort of flour-like sacks, burlap bags and, I believe, horse hair. I pulled back the 60's cover on the Ladies chair so you could see previous upholstery. These chairs are simply carved and beautiful. Not sure of the wood but they look like oak. Antique Vintage Morris Chair, recliner, mission style, 501
This auction is for a Morris chair in the mission or arts& crafts style. I found this at a moving sale. So I don't know much about it. It reclines with a spring mechanism. The spring is very tight and snaps back quickly. There are castors that appear to be made of wood. One falls out every time I pick up the chair. There are some scratches and dings, a few small paint spots. There is a lighter spot on the arm where the price tag was. Overall, however, it is a beautiful piece of American furniture in lovely oak. It shows its age in some areas, but is still very sturdy and a work of conscientious craftsmanship. The only mark I see is the number 501 on a slat on the bottom of the seat. This item is pick up only from Brick, New Jersey.

PULL UP A CHAIR AND SET A SPELL! I AM NOT A FURNITURE EXPERT. I AM SELLING THIS PIECE FOR SOMEONE ELSE. Please ask questions and I will forward them to the owner. Your answers will be posted for all to see. If you live nearby. Or even if you don't, you may come and examine the chair before you bid! That said. I did as much research as I could using my photographs, made comparisons with other chairs. And I conclude that this one is unique! Not factory-made. William Morris himself would be inspired. There is no manufacturer's mark. And my feeling is that it was home-built by a skilled and crafty person. the side"x" arm supports seem a bit rough and uneven. And not mass-produced. Front legs are smooth. Appear lathe-turned, and have light longitudinal carving. Rear legs are unique. Each carved out of a thick oak board. The arm ... morerests are mostly flat. Wider and rounded where the hands would rest, an ergonomic design. With carved downward-curving grooves. Perhaps so the condensation from grandpa's cider would drain off instead of leaving a ring on the wood? The brass bar on the back is missing a finial. And a foot has been repaired. It was professionally upholstered sometime recently in a fabric that imitates a Persian carpet design in warm reds and earth tones with green and blue accents. Sadly downsizing and ready to part with our parents' antiques. Including our dad's beloved"Tiger Oak" Morris chair he brought all the way from Ohio. Imagine a cross between a throne and a Barcalounger, and that about covers it! Purchased from the original owner sometime in the mid seventies, I have never in all my days seen one just like it! It is a very solid piece, constructed entirely of that beautifully striped old growth wood. I have seen similar ones dated to the 1910's if not just prior, though the Naugahyde type upholstery likely came from a more recent vintage. The original webbing needs some attention however the chair sits just fine. The iron hardware is all intact and original, allowing you to adjust the amount of recline to your preference. Antique J. A. Kelly Bros. Morris Recliner Mission Tiger Oak Chair
Hello, You are bidding on a Antique very rare J. A. Kelly Bros. Morris Mission Tiger Oak Recliner Chair that looks to be in over all good condition! However. I'm not sure if all the mechanical components are present or whether they just needs to be set properly for recliner to work correctly? The oak looks to be in good shape. The previous owner install some modern braces inside the magazine holder, and in some corners. The chair does have roller coaster as shown in pictures. The velvet like cloth is alright. The spring appears to o.k. Its measures 33" wide X 27" deep X 38" tall. You'd be hard press to find another J. A. Kelly Recliner like this one! I don't know much more about this chair. Chair was professionally reglued and refinished when purchased 12 years ago. The chair is tight and the reclining mechanism is fully operational, but can be touchy if you do not take care to fully engage. See pic#9 for the push/pull recliner operating knob located between the struts. Chair is on casters. The leather upholstery is beautiful, but is missing two of the"button caps" see the pics) All the wood is solid(no veneer) oak, with most pieces being quarter sawn. Vintage faux bamboo. Chinese Chippendale bar stool chair, I believe designed by Phyllis Morris. Made of cast aluminum alloy. Measuring 36 1/2" high and 18" wide. The seat is at 22" from the floor. It has been painted flat black.over a few coats of paint.gold. Green, and lastly red. At present, it is solid flat black. The frame of the chair is in very good condition. I found one small crack in the metal at the back of the seat on one side. It is still strong and the crack seems to only be superficial. The chair pad needs to be recovered. At present it is white vinyl and has no hole or tears. There are stains on the vinyl that I was unable to clean. And the covering on the bottom looks really bad with mold stains and rusty staples. This quarter-sawn oak chair is the typical high quality craftsmanship the NY furniture maker Horner was famous for. circa 1880's 1890's empire style mahogany Morris Chair recliner with paw feet
This is a substantial Morris chair. Vey thick. Has large paw feet and the hand rail support is in the form of a column with an Ionic design on the top. Appears to have original 4 position reclining hardware with rod and both caps still intact. Not sure exactly when this chair dates to but I think it is just before turn of last century. The cushions have modern fabric with zip covers over some type of firm foam pads which can easily be removed and re-upholstered. Though it does have some defects from aging they don't really detract from the visual appeal of the chair and structurally it is very sound and sturdy. If you want something unique for you home this would fit that bill.Local pick only unless you want to set up your own pick up. However no returns on this item so please be sure this is what you want before bidding.

Quarter-sawn Light Oak Stickley Mission Style Morris Chair Recliner Arts Crafts
This is a beautiful quarter sawn golden oak Morris chair in the mission Stickley style. It was handcrafted by a local furniture maker. The high density foam in the cushions was almost $200 alone. The fabric is a neutral brown gold color. If you look at the pictures the fabric is not worn. That is the nature of the fabric, brown with a goldish variation. I recently had an upholstery shop repair a piece that came loose between two of the holes where the recline is adjusted. Very nice. Local pickup only, as freight cost from the Upper Peninsula is prohibitive. Feel free to come to view the chair before you buy.

Morris Chair with original upholstery and finish.
Quartersawn oak with some carving at front end of arms and all 4 feet. Original finish and upholstery. Upholstery has two light reddish 4" stains caused by wet stuffed toy being placed on it for a few minutes. I'm certain they could easily be removed. There is a faded spot on the front of the seat cushion which may or may not be correctable. The upholstery is otherwise in good condition. There has been a minor repair to one of the feet. Which was professionally done.

Antique Quarter-sawn Oak Platform Rocker Morris Chair
Big. Bold and beautiful! And very comfy. This has newer professional upholstered cushions and was refinished about 30 years ago. There is a new brass back rod because the original was lost in a move. This is a bit longer than it should be and needs to be cut down. There have been some repairs made over the years. But it is solid and very heavy. The manufacturer is unknown. The overall dimensions are 41” high with the cushions…30” deep x 31” wide. The seat depth is 22” and 18” up from the floor. Because of the size and the weight; this needs to be a local pick up or you can arrange to have packed and shipped at your cost.

To recline the chair there is a rod at the back with some slots in the wood so you just move the rod to adjust the tilt of the back of the chair. The recline length is 28-1/2" from front to back. The measurement with the seat up from front to back is 22- 1/4" Brown cushions with original upholstery. There has been some repair on the slats to the seat. Believe it is the original springs but not 100% Really good condition for the age. Wood in GREAT shape. Not real problems. Cushions good. Could be easily replaced if didn't like the color. The back lays flat for easy transportation and also for safe storage. Measures approximately 26" from front arm to the back legs. The whole arm is 32.5" Width is approximately 24.5" and 39" tall when upright. There are four reclining positions. A wood rod that can be easily adjusted for the desired incline. Very good condition.
