Nice antique Arts& Crafts Mission Oak picture frame with portrait. The frame has a glass front that is free of damage. It may need a quick spray of Windex from the inside. The oak is all in great shape considering the age of this piece. Very minor bumps here and there. Nothing unexpected, and could probably be buffed out if you thought it was needed. This piece may be a great piece to put your own photo in! The frame itself measures 22" X 26. The inside of the frame measures roughly 15.5" X 19.5. And the matted oval where the picture photo is displayed measures 13.5" X 17.5. The top of the frame is very slightly pulling away from the sides. This is a Rotary Office Chair produced by the H Krug Furniture Company- Berlin(Now Kitchener) Ontario Canada. This company was known for medium to high-end furniture and the company continues to operate to this day. Every indication is that their products were built to last since this chair has aged remarkably well. This chair has been repaired and restored once approximately 30 years ago and has been used regularly since restoration. All wood and metal components(swivel, tensioner, castors) are original to this particular chair. The chair is solid; all stiles and components are tight and in perfectly functional condition. We have recently downsized and have more furniture than we have space, so it is time to part with some of my old projects. This chair is Model#321 in the company's 1913 catalog(I will email you a copy of the company's ... more1913 catalog if your are interested) The precise year of manufacture is not known with certainty, however, it certainly pre-dates 1916 since that year Berlin(cast on the tensioner knob) was re-named Kitchener, Ontario. An antique Arts& Crafts style solid oak Hall Wardrobe of American origin. We are pleased to present this antique Hall Wardrobe for your consideration. It is made of solid Oak wood. And is of American origin with an Arts& Crafts or Mission style look. Unusual for an American piece, it has a mechanism for disassembly to simplify the task of moving it from one place to another. A single door is found on the front, and hooks(not original to the piece) are found on the back, near the top, for hanging garments. Limited depth on the inside is not sufficient for a hanger to fit front-to-back. So this piece is better suited for use as a Hall Wardrobe, rather than a full armoire. Other possibilities, with the addition of shelves, would be use as a Bookcase, Spice Cabinet, or Kitchen Pantry. The outside measurements are 69 inches high. 33-1/2 ... moreinches wide, and 15-1/2 inches deep. There are four(4) pieces of sliding wood locks on the inside. When slid towards the front and removed, they allow the top and bottom to be removed for transport(see three close up pictures to get an idea of how the mechanism works) On the inside. Measurements are 63 inches high, 28-1/2 inches wide, and 12-3/4 inches deep of usable space. Five(5) sturdy hooks are available at the top for hanging jackets, hats, or similar items. The Hall Wardrobe is in great shape. The finish on the outside looks fresh with minimal wear. There are a few water stains on the interior. But the wood is solid. The hinges on the front door have a heavy patina from age, but are quiet and in good mechanical condition. We rate the overall condition as very good. This is a charming Arts& Crafts style piece that would make a great Hall Wardrobe. With the addition of some shelves. This auction is for an Original 1906-1912 Quarter Sawn Oak L& JG Stickley Tabouret. It has its original finish. Original Work of L& JG label on arched stretcher. Base has some nicks. Mostly to edge of legs. A couple scratches and stains to top. Octagonal top has through posts or tenons. Stretcher is pinned. It has a nice dark brown with reddish color. It measures approx. 17" high by 15" across top. Spline joint on end may look a little open at bottom on side view but this joint is tight& strong. Small dot seen in pictures on bottom of top appears to be original old hyde glue. Small amount of checking(slightly open cracks) to one leg(see picture) Again finish looks original to me and I have restored woodwork for over 30 years. Description: Here is a beautiful mission oak tabouret or taboret done during the Arts& Crafts period. The wood is beautiful quarter sawn oak with a great stripe to it and a patina that can only be achieved after many decades of display. It was listed as Larkin at the estate sale I bought it from. The woman said that her mother just always called it her“Larkin stand” I looked through a few Larkin catalogs but could not find this design but they made many hundreds of styles over the years so it still could be. The wood though looks to be of the same quality as those made by Stickley. This piece is in amazing shape for its age. Except for the usual dings or nicks that you’d expect to see the only real thing I could possibly note is that there is like a 1/2" x 1/8” splinter from the center seam of the top and it looks like someone may ... morehave used a few finish nails to secure the moulding running around underneath the tabletop. One clue to its identity could be the use of corrugated metal fasteners to lock all sides of the eight legs together. The color of the wood is a rich. Deep reddish, gold brown that you see on these pieces and the grain really pops as you can tell from my pictures. Please look at all of the photos to judge the color and condition for yourself. Neat Vintage Solid Oak Two Tier Mission Style Tea Cart Tea Trolley From England
This auction is for a nice& neat Mission Style Two(2) Tier Tea Cart or Tea Trolley from England. This is a well made cart. The shelves. Frame and braces are made out of Solid Oak, there is no veneer in this cart. The top shelf is bordered on three sides with one side left open to slide things in and out more easily. The bottom shelf is bordered on all four sides. The shelves are attached to the frame with the older flat head screws instead of being glued& block like most which is a real sign of quality by the maker. It is in overall good condition and has very nice eye appeal. It still rolls around well and all four wheels are still with it. It's 24 7/8" X 15" and about 31" tall overall. Vintage MID-CENTURY MODERN MISSION STYLE DRAFTING TABLE Craftsman styled Hamilton adjustable drafting table. Solid oak with cast iron adjustment hardware all original. Table metal crescents embossed 965, maple top. All screws and bolts are original. Restored to matte finish, no damage short of age and oak discoloration in crevices. Top right has some original patina marks as show in last image. Six lamp holder holes over the age of the top have been filled and detailed to match patina. Stickley Era Mission Quartersawn Oak Spindle-Leg Fern Stand Fleur-de-Lis Pattn
This auction is for one handsome solid quartersawn oak spindle-leg fern stand. It is at least 30 to 50 years old. Possibly older, and beautifully made by an unidentified wood craftsman. The table surface has a lovely curvy edge. Below the top, there is a sort of"skirt" with a stylized fleur-de-lis(lily) symbol in open-work on all four sides. The slim, graceful legs are lovely and stable. Dimensions: Height is approximately 35-1/2 inches tall. The table measures 10 inches across at the center. Beautiful 2 Piece Mission Oak Settee Couch Love Seat & Chair Set Wilson Porter
This is a fine set of mission oak made by the Wilson and Porter company. The couch is 59" long with the back at 39 1/2" tall. The chair is 38" wide and aprox 18" cushion height. The frame is well made and the fabric is very clean and in very very nice condition. the set is heavy and will require a truck. We will help load. This is possibly an Ingraham however there is no markings on the movement or any parts with a hallmark. The movement is missing the part a pendulum hangs on as can be seen in the photos. Otherwise the movement with those parts looks to be in good condition. When winding the hands just move around and around. From a collection sold at auction this is being sold at a ridiculous price with no reserve. The tiger oak(great flecking! they used is Spectacular and the medium honey oak finish is as good as it gets. The 120 year old patina changes with the light of day. Overall measurements are 33" wide. 27" deep and 56 1/2" High. The top stack has 7 double flat files 20" wide, 1 1/4" high and 15" deep all with REMOVEABLE center dividers. To the left are 7 other flat files measuring 9 1/4" wide. The next stack has 6 document files with Y and E paper labels. They are 4 1/2" wide. 9 1/4" high and 12" deep, with compression panels.
