A wide lower shelf, and the legs have a slight taper at the bottom. The original hand hammered copper pulls are present and have original pyramid screws. You are bidding on an antique hard to find two drawer mission style lawyer filing cabinet. Has the metal or brass pulls one of which is bent and the metal rod running through the inside of the drawer. Has some of the old file holders inside as well. This is a long cabinet measuring appr. 28"L x 15" W x 25" H. The top has some seperation near the front as shown in the photos and some ink stains. On the top near the front there are a couple of tiny spots where the wood is missing where it may have been dovetailed. The inside drawers are dovetailed together. The drips and scuffs give this a nice patina. The drawers also have the metal plates to label the drawer contents. The best way to describe the condition is to view the many photos. For your consideration we are offering this beautiful antique fumed tiger oak smoking cabinet circa early 1900s. Overall this piece measures in at 24"H x 16"A x 13 1/2"D. Condition is as follows/ shown(please view all photos. The pics are equal to my description) The piece is all original including the hinges and fancy key. The deep chocolate brown fumed finish is all original, it shows some light wear consistent with age but is highly presentable. The piece is constructed with exposed dowels which come through the sides as shown. The only real apologies on the item is that the cut out legs do have several spits which were apparently repaired at some point, this is quite common with old oak. The splits are rock solid, do not compromise the structure/ stability of the item and are not noticeable unless your at eye level. Also ... morethere is a tight line on the back panel, please view all pics. I could not find an example to ID the maker. The style and dowel construction is reminiscent of Limbert however I do not see a mark. Overall a beautifully designed piece of high quality Arts& Crafts oak perfect for any Mission-Craftsman decor. This handsome child's rocker appears to have been handmade and is in wonderful original finish. The seat appears to be some sort of vinyl but can easily be re-covered by removing four bolts. This is a great antique Arts& Crafts style wooden footstool measuring 11 3/4" tall by 18" long by 9 1/2" deep. It is in what I consider to be good to very good condition for its age with some typical wear including upholstery tack holes and an a little loss at one corner. I should also mention that there is an added sliver of wood at the bottom of one of the legs(it still has a slight wobble) I am selling it as-is and have included many pictures; please consult them carefully before bidding. Antique Morris Rocking Recliner With Foot Rest Mission Oak RESTORED 100% Rare!
Words can't describe how incredible this chair is. And how unique it is. This is a mission quarter sawn oak arts and crafts movement rocker recliner with a pull out foot rest. It has received a complete and total restoration.even the individual original nuts. Bolts, screws and hardware. It is finished in a nice satin clear to show the beauty of the 100+ year old wood. The upholstery is brand new suede upholstery fabric in black and all of the padding is up to date and brand new also.no worries about smoke smell or pet stains, it is all new. All of the hardware is finished in matte black to match the upholstery. It is much more comfortable to sit in than it originally was when it was new! The reclining mechanism is something that I have never seen. I have searched the web for a similar set up and came up with nothing. There are springs ... morebuilt inside the arms that allow you to sit in the chair and adjust the recline from a sitting position unlike other Morris type chairs. There are knobs on the sides that tighten the mechanism to hold it in the position that you choose. The arms were disassembled and the entire mechanism was restored to new condition. There was no expense or effort spared in this restoration. And yet the golden oak still retains the patina of 100 yo wood. There is a paper label on the bottom of the seat with the order number and factory 13 as well as the chair number 471. There is also a set of initials"J.G. as well as a signature"J.G. St?someone put a tack in the middle of the last name(see photos" I have been told by some that it looks like J.G. Stickley's signature. But I do not know for sure.Stickley did make a chair 471 that WAS a Morris chair, but they don't look like this one.maybe a prototype, one-off or special order? The original cover was very stiff brown oil cloth like on a buggy seat. It was in very bad condition and I could not find any reproduction fabric, the fabric I used is just as durable and protected with Scotch Guard, but is so much more comfortable.

It was made in the Stickley era. It's unmarked. The wood is in very good condition, there are a few areas of wear. There are 1 or 2 areas where the joints seem slightly loose- definitely not too loose, like you can sit on the bench. But just, slightly wiggly. I'm not a carpenter or a wood guy, so I didn't want to try and tighten them. The leather cushion is clearly in disrepair. It would need to be restored in order to make it look nice. It has springs on the underside. Here are the measurements at the various parts: front edge of left arm to front edge of right arm is 51" wide- back edge of left arm to back edge of back ... morearm is 43 1/2" wide- seat back itself is 43 1/4" wide- height is 37 3/4" depth is 21 3/4" For the cushion. I'm offering a lovely sweetheart foot stool. Made from quarter sawn white oak. It measures 15" x 12" and 10 1/2" high. Has original finish with wonderful period geometric designed material formed over a piece of solid white pine. The stool has the red compass and signature on the inside of one stretcher. The finish is original medium-dark, The stool in overall excellent condition, with just few minor dings. Came out of an old local estate and the family said that they believed it was purchased between 1910 to 1920. Pair of antique Mission Oak Arts& Crafts solid turned oak candlesticks. Circa 1900. Fitted and glued to the bottom of each candlestick is a green felt pad. The over-all condition is excellent. The finish is original. Size of each- 1 0 1/4" High x 5 1/8" Diameter. Of special note is the beautiful horizontal grain in the bases. Which by being turned created a very organic pattern(see photos. I have never seen any better wood grain pattern than on these. The grain pattern created in the turning clearly shows these candlesticks have a high artistic quality. I think that this was originally designed as a locking dental cabinet(there is still an old dental drill bit rolling around in one drawer) but it would also make a fantastic jewelry cabinet with the addition of some felt or velvet lining. It is made of quarter-sawn oak and has miniature glass knobs. It measures approx. 11" wide by 8 1/2" deep by 13 1/4" high and has 7 drawers. Some of them fitted with dividers. It is marked on the top with a stamped brass tag which reads"American Cabinet Co. Wood Goods" Condition wise, I'd give it about a 7 out of 10 as it is solid but has some chips and dings(I do believe they would look acceptable if colored in) the metal holder on the side has some surface rust, and the original leather carrying handle on the top is torn. This is a stunning solid quarter-sawn mission oak child's morris chair dating to the late 1800's. This is a one-of-a-kind beauty and in superb condition. The wood grain on the chair is exceptional and features wide arms with turned spindled supports. The seat and chair back have been skillfully restored with a period color leather type material accented with brass studs/tacking. The front of the chair has a carved serpentine apron and wide serpentine legs with square feet. The back has three grooved positions and two support bars. All legs culminate in wooden casters. The chair measures 21 1/2" wide by 22" deep and stands 31 1/4" tall and is in superb condition for its age and very sturdy. First of all. I am no expert on antiques, however I have been working in furniture retail all my life and admire great quality and craftsmanship as this chair offers. I believe it has been made entirely of white oak and some of the pieces appear to be quartersawn. They have very large stripes which leads me to believe it to be older than 100yrs or close to it. Please correct me if I'm wrong as I will change my listing. As stated before, I'm no expert. I have looked all over for a gustov stickler stamp hoping this chair to be worth 10's of thousands of dollars but he prob didn't make many student chairs. There are no stamps or hallmarks. The back looks like simple 3 slat back design. It has 2 sets of stretchers with square tenons between each legs. They are all structurally sound. I cannot see any repairs on it at all. In fact. ... moreI just noticed taking these pics, that the crack I've seen for the last 8 yrs, isn't a crack at all. It's a joint where the seat is glued together from three planks of dovetails. They are in tact, refer to the pics for better description. You can see by the pics there has been use and some very old scratches probably from moving many years ago. I am only selling to free up space in my downsized newer home and would love to pass this along to someone who can admire it as much as I have the last decade. This is an outstanding piece with beautiful elegant design. It is simple and classic and the oak is really beautiful. It stands 33 1/2 inches tall with the top measuring 9 inches by 9 inches. The bottom shelf measures 7 1/2 inches by 7 1/2 inches and there is a clearance of 11 1/2 inches between the bottom shelf and the skirt of the top shelf. There is 16 1/2 inches of clearance from the floor to the bottom shelf. This classic piece is in excellent condition with just normal wear to the finish due to age and use. ANTIQUE L & JG STICKLEY SIDEBOARD MISSION OAK ARTS & CRAFTS
We can't believe our good fortune. We have found a nice antique mission oak L&JG Stickley sideboard#734. It has the Handcraft decal in the top center drawer. It has good fumed oak color with normal wear.This model is a very hard to find this form. Due to the desirable smaller size. This measures 48 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 44 inches at the top of the plate rail. It came from a home in central Florida and was"touched up" by a local refinishing shop before I found it. It dates from about 1906-1910 and is in very good"as found" condition. The top has been sanded and refinished and the entire piece has an overcoat with color added. The hardware is perfect and the patina is lovely. The last one of these was I saw was a train wreck, and still brought a fair price considering the condition. I believe in offering ... moregood pieces at fair prices, please see my feedback for further confirmation of this fact. The only area I see of any real imperfection is the left side panel has a seam separation which has been re-glued, but touched up.

Mission Oak Style Footstool, Newly Crafted
I am a retired old guy who likes to make stuff. And this is a footstool I made from 1-1/16" red oak stock, dowel connections, solid and sturdy. The fabric is vintage, but nice and clean and in good shape. new foam padding and finished with antique brass tacks. The stool measures 8" by 13" and stands 7"tall. The oak was treated with Howards Wood Preservative in golden oak. Very pretty litty accent piece. USA sales only, please.
